With a few days off and Freyja finally having reached the glorious official age of maturity, the young woman figured ordering alcohol legally for the first time was a fantastic idea to celebrate the occasion. She had already partied with friends, but as the other acolytes weren't off when she was, she had gone on a little adventure by herself.

She had taken the first transport of Umbara before she had traveled into neutral space - she simply wanted to enjoy herself outside of training for a few days and right after having checked in in a mediocre hotel she had found, she was headed into the night life.

The fashionable Ashen haired woman went with something relatively casual that, however, fitted the bar's vibe well. It was late fall here, but it wasn't raining at the moment, so that had automatically brightened her mood already.

Ready for the night, she slid into a bar stool with a smirk on her lips and ordered herself a strong, dark shot to get started. She didn't have any concrete plans, but she was done for some fun for sure. The bar offered a few fun things like darts, a beer pong table, a wide dance floor and much more and she couldn't wait to try it all out.

The galaxy was rife with opportunity and plunder, between all the wars and tearing apart from governmental systems, life had been good for those on the wrong side of the law. Fresh off a score of their own, a small crew of misfits and bandits came figuratively crawling into the bar with celebratory cheers and excitement.

Five of the most mismatched and eccentric characters you ever laid your eyes upon waltzed up to the various activities. A young female Twi'lek and male Kaleesh headed for the pool table with a hoot. Meanwhile, a female Lasat made her way to the dance floor with a cheeky Tiefling in tow.

Coming in last was the Deucalian lad himself, dressed casually for a night out and making his way to the bar. Plonking down a bunch of credits to catch the bar's attention, he grinned like only someone who had a genuinely good day could. "Next round's on me, everyone."

It was time to get this celebration started!

She downed the shot as quickly as it was slid across the counter to meet her. With a knowing smirk, she didn't even ask for a second one before it was handed to her automatically.

She was just about to turn around and see where she'd start her shenanigans when an admittedly handsome stranger approaches and nonchalantly announced the next round was on him. "Yeeeeah", the whole bar cheered happily and raised their empty glasses into the air, Freyja included.

"Now that's a kind gesture", her eyes locked onto the stranger as a wide smirk crossed her lips. "Are you just in a gracious mood or should I be concerned?", she playfully asked before she placed her order - a strong craft beer was on her list next. No one went into the bar and offered a full round without either having a questionable source of income or just received really great news, so she was curious.

The fantastic cheers echoing across the bar confirmed that they had indeed come to the right place. An even more excited bar got to work quickly servicing all the empty glasses that were suddenly dropped back on the bench for a refill. Siggy pointed at a bottle of liquid fire and held up two fingers, soon to be the proud owner of a pair of tasty shots.

The ambience continued to climb as a new song started playing from the bar's boombox, with a number of patrons even dancing along to the beat. Suddenly, a cute lil voice piped up beside the Deucalian, causing his head to turn with a smile. "Concerned, obviously." He said confidently with a mischievous grin. A twang of his accent lingering in, as he picked up the first glass and knocking it back in one swoop.

Picking up the second, and signalling for the bottle to remain with a few more glasses, Siggy now grinned. "Are you just gunna stare?, or join in?" Sliding the bottle her way, he called over his crew for theirs. "Fair warning, though, we're about to get proper sloshed."

The misfits from earlier came wandering over to take their shots in quick succession before ordering their own large ales, spirits and the like before dispersing back into the bar to cause a ruckus. Glancing back towards the ashen lass at the bar, Siggy turned with a shot glass in hand and a curious smile. "How about a drinking game? Your pick, of course."

Seems like she had run into just the right person to get sloshed with. An adventurous spirit, the will to down more than a few shots and a great overall mood. She reciprocated the mischievous smirk as she reached for the bottle and poured herself another one.

"I was hoping you'd say that", she replied just before she sat her glass back down, considering his offer. "Two truths one lie. Every miss is a shot", she quickly replied just as the idea came to her, knowing it was a fun little game to get started.

She absolutely wanted to try some of the games the bar offered, but there was much more time for that. "We'll play a few rounds, and then I'll beat your ass in arm wrestling". Behind them, a cheer broke loose as the bar's champion defeated the next opponent.

Freyja was stronger than she looked and while he was much more muscular, she assumed she still had a chance as she did at least know the techniques - "you start", she brought the glass to her lip again and excitedly waited for his statements, knowing she'd probably end up drinking just again as she knew nothing about him yet.

"You're on." He smirked at the challenge she set, confident that he'd be able to kick her butt in both. Though he didn't discount her having something up her sleeve, not that it would slow him down.

Laying out a series of cups for their little game, he started to conjure up his two truths and a lie. "Hmm let's see." A curious thought crossed his mind, wondering if she would have any tells or if she'd lock her truth up behind those yellows in a vice.

"At six, I saved my best friend after they slipped through the ice." He started strong. "I once served under a notorious pirate." Obviously. "And I buy every girl I meet at the bar a drink." Check.

Siggy waved to the bartender to pour him a large pint of local beer, of which he promptly took a happy sip leaving a foam moustache on his face, before glancing back toward Freyja as she pondered his answers.

She was happy that he agreed without any objections and it seemed like his diverse group of friends once again spread out for a moment. The smirk on her lips just spread wider. Oh he was going down with that mischievous smirk of his. And she had just found a drinking body!

He started serving his truths and the lie and her eyes slightly narrowed. Quietly, she pondered on his statements before she looked him up and down. "I buy the part a about your heroic ice rescue maneuver...and with your wild friend group, something tells me you're not the average boy next door. Today you had received great news, but I believe you're not usually buying every girl you see a drink". She finally concluded, smirking still.

It were risky claims she made and she didn't let the Force aid her judgements. She just wanted to lean back and enjoy the game. Regardless of whether she got it right or not, it was her turn next. "I'm good at throwing axes", now that was a tactical choice, too. If they'd play more games later, the mental games had already started.

"I have more than ten thousand followers on Galaxygram", she continued, her facial expressions and tone never changing, "I freeze easily". Now she was hoping she had given him an actual challenge.

"You got me there." He replied with a cheeky grin, letting the thought settle. Picking up the first shot, the liquid barely had time to swish in the glass before it found itself poured out down the Deucalian's throat. Undeterred, he patiently waited for her to finish her own questions as he pondered what lie she could be hiding behind.

"Well, you definitely look like you could throw an axe." He said with a smirk. If that were true, she'd be quite the dangerous lady to cross, and that only piqued his interest.

"Ten thousand seems really high, a few thousand perhaps, which would imply you freeze easily." Picking out his phone from the pocket, he pulled up the app itself and showed her his handle. "Would you like another?" He subtly added at the end.

By the time it was his turn to pick, he'd thought long and hard about something good that she wouldn't immediately figure out. "Hmm, well, I'm superstitious." He started, his eyes drifted toward his crew before flicking back to meet hers. "I've never lived in one place for long." He held a steady smile. "And I can fly a ship blindfolded."

That, hopefully, was a bit harder for her to pick up.

As he threw back the shot, she smirked mischievously. It hadn't even been the Force that had pointed her into the right direction, but just her people skills. She usually didn't busy herself with criminals, but for now he still seemed harmless enough though and the pirate story rather intrigued her.

"Why thank you", for her, it was clearly a compliment, especially given her heritage, yet she figured he was probably still underestimating her. "But that is in an insult...I have way more than 10k", she feigned a pout before she chuckled as she pulled out her phone and showed him. The Galaxy was a huge ass place, 10k was nothing! R00d.

"The cold never bothered me", she shrugged playfully, "so bottoms up!". She did at least enjoy seeing him chug down some more. Judging from his physique, he could simply take more and if they'd continue with competitions, she had to step up her game even more.

"I say the first is a lie. You don't strike me as someone superstitious
", she answered rather quickly again, simply following her intuition, wondering whether she would get it right again. "Okay, I can't really fly ships. I've never lost in arm wrestling and I love spicy food!". Now this was probably difficult as well, but after he had made his guess, she'd immediately use it for a transition. "I challenge you to an arm-wrestling match!", the alcohol in her system began to take effect and her confidence was running high already.

Siggy stood there amused and also rather impressed, that lasted about as long as it took him to realize that meant he'd drink. One faux protest later, and the firey liquid made its way down the chute stirring a wave of goosebumps across his body. "Woo!" He cheered, clearly still enjoying the time at the bar despite his set backs. "I'm sorry for doubting your exceptional media skills." He added with a little bow of defeat and a genuine chuckle.

"Correct again, am I that transparent?" He chuckled, knocking back another stiff shot.

Next up she laid out her next series of statements and he simply couldn't quite place the lie. An age thrower probably meant she could arm wrestle, and spicy food was quite popular. "Please tell me the lie is the flying." He grinned. If so, was there anything this unassuming lady couldn't do? Downing another shot if he was wrong.

Naturally, he proudly accepted the challenge to a wrestle and the pair cleared the bar of empty glasses. Offering his arm, the Deucalian was rather confident in his own ability, although this was becoming harder to maintain as she continued to outfox him.

They moved into position, clasping her hand he felt the audacity of liquid courage flowing through his veins as he looked into her unassuming eyes. The softness in hers only added to his assumptions that would be quickly proven incorrect. At the onset he pushed back against her arm and to his immediate panic, hers refused to move.

Like a mountain, Freyja's fierce resistance destroyed his attack and as the seconds passed he soon found himself gradually being defeated by a strange technique he couldn't recognize that absolutely crushed his brute force attempt.

Mouth agape, the stunned man was racing through numerous strands of thought simultaneously. A flush of pain through his arm, a wave of dread and fear of this powerful warrior in his midst and most of all, the simple beauty of it all. She could kick his ass all night if it meant he got to spend more time with her.

"Holy shit that was ho-" he caught himself mid sentence and throughly concerned for his safety at the same time. "How did you learn to wrestle like that? I am not even sure I could try again so soon." He rubbed his poor arm.

"I'm Sigtryggr by the way, though my most call me Siggy." His smile returning. "There's gotta be something here I can beat you in, right?" Although she could quite easily tell he wasn't so sure himself despite the humorous take.

Freyja was loving this game already. All the shots for him. She smirked mischievously as he downed yet another after she got the next round right. "You're an open book to me it seems...", she almost mysteriously lowered her voice as she gave him a playful wink now that the alcohol was clouding her brain a little already.

"Wrong again. You drink again. Obviously, I've lost arm wrestling matches before, even if it's really rare occurrence", she amusedly replied, watching him take yet another shot. Was he down to 8 now? She decided to stop counting, but she expected his language to slur soon enough.

"You're going down", she mouthed teasingly before they interlaced their fingers and positioned their elbows accordingly. Freyja was a professional arm wrestler and even when his much bigger muscles began flexing, she wasn't even the tiniest bit intimidated. Fiercely locking her gaze onto his as she held against him, letting him do the pushing first, they began right after.

She didn't even grimace and refrained from Force use entirely- however, she was in full control about what was happening. At first, she resited his push before she allowed him to move in her direction a little- that was when she turned this around though, leaving him to expect he was about to break her while she actually pushed with all her strength and smashed his hand against the table a literal split second later.

"Whooops", a triumphant grin immediately crossed her lips as she sat up straight again, not even the slightest hint of strain written in her features while he looked rather damaged. "Told ya I rarely ever lose...", she feigned arrogance, but immediately broke into an amused chuckle. Surely, the win felt great, but she wasn't going to rub it in any longer.

Sigtrygrr? As he shared his name, she blinked at him a few times as the name was unmistakably Deucalian, which was interesting...Damn. "I'm Freyja". She wondered whether he'd recognize the name, too, yet before her mind could linger on it, she added, "Imma call you Sig".

Sig wasn't just shorter, but it sounded less innocent than Siggy in her opinion. "Hmmm", as she started looking around, she noticed that her head was already spinning decently, but it didn't keep her from pointing at the darts area. "There! I've never tried darts before. Maybe we should do that next". It was most certainly a bad idea, but she was here to have some fun and wondered whether he'd be brave enough to join her.

After being thoroughly trounced in the drinking game, arm wrestling and even apparently giving their names, Siggy was quite amused that this completely unsuspecting person at the bar had become so very interesting, so quickly.

"A ffitting name." He said, slightly stumbling through the sentence with a grin. Named for the Deucalian goddess of love and beauty, it would also explain how she had such a great understanding of him, being Freyja was also associated with the gift of seers, and she would know that he knew.

"Oh, we're shortening names now? Alright, Fre, let's go." Accepting her next challenge without hesitation, he felt great. Moving over to the dart area with her, he grabbed a set of darts for himself, staring at the target as if trying to intimidate the board into submission. There was a small mark on the floor from where to throw the darts from, and it took a little longer than he would have liked to properly situate his foot behind it, but in the end the lad achieved this despite the challenge.

Bonk, bonk, bonk. The three darts struck the board in various spots, with the highest being a thirteen. "Finally!" He said, with glee, finding an activity that he didn't entirely suck at while completely ignoring the fact that he hadn't yet won anything. "We ought to make it interesting." Grabbing his glass of beer and taking a quick sip and giving her an opportunity to come up with something first before saying anything.

Even if the slight buzz blurred her vision, her haze mind just made her more confident as she stagger over. A wide smirk crossed her lips as he commented on her name, knowing that if judged by his name, he was indeed a Deucalian, too...perhaps a pure blooded one even.

She didn't allow her mind to linger on their heritage and instead focused on the dart board ahead. She immediately wondered whether throwing darts was doable just like throwing axes...but she knew those little darts were so much smaller, more delicate, and frankly speaking, as she had never tried it before, she was neither sure how to hold them, nor how to hurl them.

Freyja watched him go first and even if she was slowly swaying, she tried her best to focus her mind. "Wellll done!", she offered genuine praise as he retrieven the darts before if was her time to prove herself again. With a forced grin she approached the throwing line and let go of the little dart - that immediately hit the 20 - very close to the double value field even.

"Huh. Guess that's easy". The others followed and nailed high numbers as well, so that as she spun to face Sig, there was a triumphant smirk on her lips. "You're no match to me...you might wanna start using a different name from now on". She knew his name was derived from the words "victory" and "true", but that clearly didn't apply here.

She playfully nudged him with the devious tease and a wink before she wanted go lean against the table, however missed by an inch and plopped down giggling. "Ohh whoops". While the darts had gone well, the alcohol in her system was clearly making it hard for her to keep on standing. "Are their any seated activities?".

After such a successful throw by his own low bar standards of the night, Sig was unceremoniously defeated by Freyja once more as the queen slew the darts game in one fell swoop. "No kidding.." He said with a pronounced faux pout, wondering if he really ought to change his name.

Suddenly he saw her flop over after failing to lean against the table. "Not from down there, miss Fre, but how about some karaoke?" His hand extended out to offer to help her up if she accepted. "You've kicked my butt at everything so far, how do you think you'll fare singing?" He asked, humorously. It wouldn't take long for the pair to find out.

Bumbling into the booth together, drunk as skunks and excited to sing, they'd plonk themselves down comfortably. Taking a microphone for himself, he glanced over to her with a grin. "Ready?" then pressing a song at random once she was, the lyrics were about to start.

Flush with alcohol and an opportunity to let loose with his creative side, Sig sang his heart out, without a care in the world who or what was listening.

"♫Woke up late..♫"

From the ground she had unceremoniously hit a few seconds earlier, it was hard to tell whether the pout was genuine, but as he offered a hand, he was at least grinning again and thus a soft chuckle escaped the tipsy acolyte. "Kara-ooooh boy, I don't know", she giggled, not letting go of him just yet as she needed him for stability.

She craved some water, yet before that thought fully developed, she was pulled into the booth and automatically reached for the second microphone. For a moment, she held it upside down before she noticed and quickly spun it, just right in time for the first line.

"Somewhere fro-far alay for-from homeee", Freyja knew the song, even the lyrics, but it was near impossible with her blurry vision for her hazy mind to process the lyrics that were holo-projected. She was slurring her language severely and intonation the words weirdly, neither matching pitch nor pace:"-pock-...wal-...gone!".

Perhaps she had downed too many shorts in a short amount of time, perhaps it was the absence of a solid foundation as she had skipped dinner until then, but the Half-Annfyn didn't even make it to the third line before she plopped to the side with a soft thud that was swallowed by the music.

It was most certainly for the better that she didn't continue singing and thus butchering the song, but took a nap instead. What remained to be seen was whether Sig, with his golden voice, even noticed.

It would be fairly typical that the one time Sig was able to completely outshine Freyja, she was zonked out and unavailable to notice, wouldn't it? Had he angered the Gods to incur such events, or just particularly unlucky, who could tell.

Standing tall for the imaginary standing ovation that his legendary performance was undoubtably due, Sig took a sharp bow. Whether by his drunken state or commitment to the rendition, he'd only just noticed his companion missing in action. Damn, was his singing that badly off tune that it had sent her straight to the land of nod?

It didn't seem right to leave her slumped over on the ground like that, nor would abandoning her when they left the bar in the not too distant future.

--

The sunlight broke through the fine curtain blinds that were just a smidgen unaligned in the otherwise bland but rather well up kept hotel room. Freyja would find herself alone in a large bedroom with attached en suite, under a thick blanket, having been placed there sometime earlier in the night and locked from the inside. Beside her on the nightstand was a small plate of bar snacks smuggled away, along with a tall glass of water and some painkillers. A small note read:

Jeez, you snore loudly! Just kidding!! We couldn't leave you behind, so hope you don't mind the complimentary upgrade from the floor. We're in the next room when you're ready. XX Hadi (p.s. I'm the Lasat that carried you here, you're welcome.) (p.s.s. I also stopped them from drawing on your face.)

Unfortunately, the latter could not be said for the others. Once Freyja wandered into the larger living space beyond the bedroom walls, she would see a sprawling out of Sig's crew from the couch, to the floor and even a kaleesh half hanging from the balcony. Each sporting unique and interesting markings over their faces.

Sig himself was curled up in a beanbag, playing some game on his nalphone when she finally stirred from her slumber. "Oh, hey sleepy. How's the head?" He smiled sheepishly, still slightly sleepy himself.

Little did Freyja know she was solidly out for the rest of the night instead of just taking a quick nap, and even less did she know about her drinking buddy for the night it seemed- as she woke up, she was massively confused and gasped in panic and she kicked the thick blanket off, not aware that Sig was her grand savior after all.

With a severe headache, she half toppled out of bed before she frantically pushed herself of to her feet and suddenly spotted the note - Hadi?! The Lazat?! She crumbled the note together and forced herself to sit before she took a few deep breaths. This was all sooo bad. It seemed like her idea about legal drinking had been nothing but a huge mistake.

What soothed her a little was that her clothes were on and the bed next to her empty - the room was also not the one she had rented, but something much finer, so she figured without checking out who waited next door, she wouldn't solve those mysteries. She slowly forced her mind to calm down by breathing slowly before she lifted the glass and sniffed.

Looked like regular water, smelt fairly regular...so without thinking twice, she downed it. What the kriff had happened last night? Sighting, rubbed her temples, massaging away the slight headache before she slowly approached the door. She sensed a few presences, but all mostly...out. Were they sleeping?

She carefully opened the door and peeked through the slit, which was why she finally spotted Sig and stepped in. Oh...now this made more sense. One by one, she spotted more members of his crew? Or friends? It didn't really matter...what did was that she seemed fined and he was most certainly the reason for that.

"Hey...mornin". Oh she was groggy still - the adrenaline had just helped her a little. "It's...bearable", she admitted with a smirk as she walked over and plopped down next to him, so that the whole beanbag shifted a little. "Seems like I have overdone it a little...was I just out the entire time or did I do something stupid?".

A small chuckle raised itself out of the Deucalian's chest, as he rolled off the beanbag and onto his feet. "Slept like a rock, I'm afraid." Unless you counted getting completely toasted and falling asleep mid-song stupid, of course, but he wouldn't say anything just yet.

Slipping across the room like a hungry wolf, Sig made his way toward the kitchen. It was a blessing to have such a crew sometimes, as a proper food run had been made on their way over during the night. Although, given their inebriated state, it was a miracle they managed to do so at all. "Are you hungry?" he muttered to Freyja, taking a look inside the fridge.

"Uh." He stared at the various things stuffed into the fridge by the well-intentioned crew. Half a loaf of bread, without spreads. Bacon but no eggs, Potatoes and potatoes and oh why so many potatoes. Clearly they'd had something in mind, but alas, it was lost to the tequila. Fortunately, Sig had an ace up his sleeve - a free brekkie put on by the hotel, as indicated by the notice on the bench.

"On second thought, how about we go downstairs and see what the buffet has to offer?" He asked, slightly amused that they'd only managed to put together half a breakfast. One by one, each of the sleepy lot likewise rose from their slumbers at the announcement of free food being on offer.

Freyja's mind was still somewhat hazy and so while a few of the memories returned and her confusion slightly faded, there were still a few question marks left. She rubbed her temples with closed eyes for another moment while he shifted and got up a moment later.

As he called over from the kitchen, her eyes immediately shot wide open and as if on cue, her stomach rumbled. "Ohhh by the God's, yesss", she almost pleadingly replied as she scrambled to her own feet - which was much more complicated than expected as the freaking beanbag shifted the entire time.

A few moments of struggle later, Freyja was out and rushed after him, only to find a shit load of potatoes. "There are...many ways to prep potatoes I guess", she remarked, her tone dead serious before she couldn't help but break into a chuckle. "Nevermind, your idea wins", she had to admit after a moment though, a wide smirk spreading across her lips. The prospects of a nice, big, savory breakfast were amazing, so she eagerly grabbed his elbow and guided him towards the door.

Rounding up the gang was fortunately not too difficult as they had all become increasingly hungry from the night before. Her sudden potato revelation made him chuckle as he considered for a moment. "Knowing them, we're going to have chips for days." Elbow tugged, Sig took the cue to leave, knowing that the gang would find their way down shortly.

After what could only be described as a sudden drop with a button press, the elevator bottomed out on the lobby floor, fast as heck and yet sophisticated enough that the occupants barely felt the change in velocity. The only thing to give it away was how quickly they arrived.

"Oh wow." He said, staring out over the view of the restaurant. "Take whatever you want, it's complimentary with the room!" His warm voice suggested. They'd walk over to the table together and grab a plate each to fill. Sig naturally picked up a couple of pancakes, several colourful pieces of fruit and a pastry or two before also getting a nice tall glass of orange juice.

Once they had their fill, he'd motion for them to sit down at a table nearby. "Ooh, that looks delicious." He grinned looking at her plate, taking a big bite out of his own pancake with glee. "Are you looking for something to do later?, we're always up to mischief, or doing some adventuring. And you seem pretty cool, if I do say so myself."
