Yes, you should go to work. Every minute you don’t work is a minute that you suck money from the American taxpayer like a parasitic, liberal leech. If you don’t work, the terrorists win.
No, don't stay home, go to work. Money is money and unless you're legitimately sick then you need to make good on your commitment that is your employee contract. It'll be over before you realize it.
Every now and again you got to just take off and have a day to yourself.
And yes I've called in sick; had thyroid issues for about a year so I called in sick A LOT. And I've just not shown up to work: I took a nap at 5PM and slept through work on accident. I've never just not showed up though...
And yes, I have called in sick, and had days where my net output has been zero even after going to work. And then there have been days when my manager and/or teammates have pulled me out of my chair and sent me back home because I was actually sick.
I also don't think the poll is a yes or no question - at least how it's worded. So I don't know which to click for stay home/go to work. Yes or no for stay home? Yes or no for go to work? xD
I would have to say it depends on the job. Once upon a time I worked at subway and as often as I could I called in or missed work. However, I work at the hospital now and my attendance is rather important, have not missed a day yet! (Helps to get 4 days off a week)
If you just don't feel like going to work and you're just in a "I don't want to go to work" mood, then get your ass to work. For all you know there could be someone else behind you ready to take your position. My job is a really shitty one with no benefits, no sick days, no vacation time, no jack shit and I still work because I am thankful I got a job despite the fact that I'm a very expendable driver who does all the hard work at the company. Taking a day off just because you don't want to can lead to a bad habit.
If you're legitimately sick, and you are dealing with people, then call it in.
Yes, I know I am late. Yes, I am still going to give my two cents.
