Unfortunately, his studies were cut off by his father, who, while he admired his son's desire for knowledge, needed him to have a job to support his family.
Shynok, after a rigorous examination, got a job as a senatorial aide. After two years, he resigned and went to join the Aderi Order. After a brief time, Shynok left and joined the Ospions. Shynok was dissatisfied with both groups, and continued to search for the ultimate answer to the mysteries of the Force.

No, they don't live forever. They have some healing powers, which I haven't thus far needed to use. I just thought they looked cool.

"Talortai were a scaled, bipedal race with an upper jaw similar in appearance to a beak. They were immune to the effects of aging, and at least one known member (Urai Fen) demonstrated the ability to rapidly regenerate injuries."

They can live forever...

ok, I stand corrected, but in game I'm not allowed to have an immortal character.

although I think that could also mean they just don't look old, but they still age.

That isn't what "lack of aging" means. You are thinking of "eternal youth". Also I doubt they have a problem with characters that can live forever. (Seeing as this character's not on the list of forbidden.) It is just the problem of things that can't be killed. These things can be killed, just take the head, crush em, obliterate em, ect. It doesn't take much. You can keep the character lol.

depends on the full context, but this can also mean " they hit a certain point of maturity, and they remain as such without suffering any major breakdowns in the cellular level for the rest of their natural life "

much in the same way some animals in our reality don't really visibly age or suffer any real changes until they just " drop dead" Birds are majorly known for this.

Yes, but these things are also part lizard. They most likely live forever until stated otherwise. I mean we can't say, "Oh crap they do live forever, sorry for having you die." We can say that even if they don't live forever, they can live for a pretty long time. So when it comes to the point that they say that, then we say, "Oh okay, you should probably die now," lol.

well give it a few years, and when you get into things like biology 201 and such, you learn that aging is never a " given" reptiles, saurian/avians, fish, etc don't technically " age" beyond reaching sexual maturity.

even humans only age to a certain point: say you die happily of natural causes in your mid 90's. Your aging actually came to an end around your late 70's, rest of the most noticeable we think of " aging" is actually just things breaking down and rotting, not the actual aging process. ^_^

so this would make them far far from immortal, many species have much longer life spans than humans in SW, Hutts live over a thousand years, so life span is more or less a moot point and pointless to dicker over for a few reasons. One being that their natural lifespan wont really matter as timeliness wont last that long.

so in the long run look at it like this:

Sure they live a long time, biologically this most likely means the aging process is so subtle it's nearly unnoticeable, or they simply don't age past sexual maturity, but do have a average lifespan where the body simply " fails" like " most" real world animals do.

They can still be killed

even with a healing boost like they have comes at a cost of time and energy that leaves them very vulnerable.

Actually the lizard part was just me stating that because it is cool. Humans can live to 300 through practice of the force. Dicker? Really? Also never said they couldn't be killed. If I did it was just a typing error most likely. For basically trying to prove me wrong you get a sticker.

lol Im not trying to prove anyone wrong, It's simply going over alternative lines of thought, and or comprehension that is more in line with how we understand biology on our own world.

the irony of your sticker being dear young'n is that your faaaaarrr more known for nitpicking profiles, or technicalities to death " more so over the last two months" :P

Anyhay back on topic: tis a great looking profile, and I'm glad to see a unique species that could open things up and add some interesting stories here and there. ^_^

It's missing a ton of stuff and the profile is like...way too small, but whatever.

I wasn't commenting on it's completeness, more or less the uniqueness of the character itself :p

He needs 15 more words on his personality for it not to be locked in 24 hours.

I challenge you to take a 1 week break from nitpicking.

It's kind of sad when you feel the need to count the amount of words in other people's profiles.

15 words is like nothing...i'd just like it to give a better feel for the character. But w/e.

ITT, senseless nitpicking on an allowed species and mundane biological processes that will almost never realistically have any implications during the course of a timeline. :P

Don't mock me. It was a line and a half and I said to myself, "There's no way that can be 50 words."

Denzein come on there is no need to even quote something just to say "this".

Jeeze guys get the hell off my back. And Jiang this is a bit ironic since I have seen you go into a dozen profiles just to state 24 hours before you lock it. Even if they weren't that far off.
