Many of you know that, every few months, the staff posts feedback threads wanting to know how each individual admin, and the staff as a whole, is performing as admins. The Sith echelon shall be doing the same thing, focusing on our two co-FLs (Xenomorph and Sreeya), the AFLs (Zach and Weiss), and a select others (Mars, etc.). There will also be one for the overall echelon.

We’re looking for feedback on:

  • Level of activity
  • Administrative style
  • Effectiveness
  • Member relations
  • Overall performance
  • Opinions/evaluations on their IC involvement
  • Anything else you want to comment on

Basically, we want honest and thoughtful feedback on anything visible we do as leaders and fellow members of the Sith Imperium and what you think of the job we’re doing, including (and especially) what we can do better. It’s not required, but we can respond to any criticism we receive. We will do so civilly and respectfully, and you must extend that same courtesy.

Unlike the staff reviews, this has an added criterion called "Opinions/evaluations on their IC involvement.

Remember, this is for both our benefit and yours, since echelon are here to provide you with a great faction. We want your honest feedback, but incivility means we’re going to ignore you. You'll never be hunted down, fired, black listed, burned, punished, or flayed for giving your honest, respectful, and civil opinion, so don’t be worried about that (as long as you don't mention Sreeya's weight). We WANT to hear from you!

Unlike the staff reviews, this has an added criterion called "Opinions/evaluations on their IC involvement". In other words, provide your opinions and evaluations of their characters, how they've been used/received, character development, etc. Though the person is by no means obligated to do so, you may provide suggestions and opinions on what you would like to see happen in the future or suggestions on what the character could do. Please be at least semi-serious here, as we don't need a sea of spam about how Andraste "should get a furry farm and settle down with her new cyclops boyfriend."

In this thread, please discuss Weiss. His main Imperial characters are Geist Weiss, ADIM Kadmon, Grand General Lucifel, and Vhalanestilliegan Crewellunstestry.

I actually haven't seen that much activity, though that may just be because I'm not paying attention.

Haven't seen him do any admin-y things.

Same for effectiveness.

He seems to be fairly good with people, but not very responsive to any form of messaging.

Don't think I can give a fair rating because I haven't seen much of him doing anything.

But that in and of itself sort of requires a rating, so... Not very high. I could just not be paying attention to what he's doing, though and be way off.

Pretty good on the whole. Great activity as part of the faction leadership, very engaged, and has a great IC presence. People seem to like him so he has good member relations.

I think sometimes Weiss can bow down to someone else's opinion too quickly. If that's because he was convinced of another's argument then ignore this, but if it's because he's not standing up for something he believes in then he could work on that.

ICly, the thing you could improve upon is combat, which you've stated is a weakness of yours. You're great at scheming and behind the scenes stuff. Improve on combat and I think you'll be a major force to be reckoned with in the RP.

I would appreciate if you gave reasons behind such grades rather than just giving numbers. Numbers by themselves aren't that helpful.

As for the PMs and VMs, I generally do try to get back to people. However, my internet is not the greatest, and tends to spazz out occasionally; you would not believe how many times I've had to retype a post because it didn't go through, it's why I generally save before I post. VMs and PMs do have a habit of not always going through, which is why I appreciate when people send me reminders, as it lets me realize that my message didn't go through. I will try to be getting a new Internet provider to prevent this from happening as often.

My activity has suffered recently since I've been preparing to go on a Study Abroad soon to Mexico. Though generally my work tends to be behind the scenes. Recently, I've been organizing and executing an operation (details will be provided in the upcoming Newsletter 3, which I've been writing as well).

As for admin-y things, like I stated before my activity levels have suffered by the preparation for Mexico, but generally my work is maintenance a lot of the time, as I can't alter board names and such (which is left to our admins, Xenomorph and Sreeya).

I figured there were good reasons, since you seem like a good kinda guy. 'Tis why I couldn't give a fair rating. When you DO actually do things, though, you seem to put quite a bit of effort into them. So taking that into account, I'd say you're a pretty good admin-bro.

I can vouch for this. The annoying "Did you get my message?" messages I get from Weiss are because he's making sure his internet didn't screw up.

Plus he's impatient. :CStern

Only good thing I can say is that his character needs combat improvement. And if his character leans more towards a general Mind he'll be unstoppable.

I find the one they call Weiss to be very active. Every time I check he is either on or was on previously that day. As an AFL I have seen him start discussion threads, and he most likely helps out oocly. IC his character Geist Weiss is in most important threads offering his valued opinion and offering training to other Sith members, and his crusader has lead successful missions for the Sith. For member relations I have had no quarrels with him and he often offers advice to newcomers, helping them along the way.

Additional comment- May get swamped with things going on and forget minor discussions however nobody can be perfect.

Thank you for the information. To be honest, I didn't think I'd get as far with Vhalanestilliegan Crewellunstestry (which I don't see why people can't remember the spelling. It's easy to remember). I originally just made him for the Cyrilla raid against the Imperial Knights' Harrowing and Cyrilla base. I randomly signed him up for the tournament so that I could get some battle experience OOCly (as I decided not to use Geist nor one of my Jedi). I later signed him up for Tanaab not thinking he'd be chosen to participate, let alone do well. I'm considering making him a full-time character rather than a small-time character I originally envisioned, but we'll have to wait and see; may even make him fall to the Jedi, to spark some IC development.

EDIT:

Damn. That was clever. Well played, sir.

So tempting to sig my comment, but with all the links I have, I don't have the space.

[10/10] -activity
Very active IMO. Answers quickly when his Internet isn't screwy. Overall better than myself hah.
[8/10] -admin
Very efficient admin, although somewhat lacking in resolving issues he does handle things OOCly in this faction very well.
[8/10] -effectiveness
The words Weiss and Ineffective do not go together. Although(apparently) his IC fighting could use improvement, his OOC and IC effectiveness out of fighting is amazing to me.
[7/10] -member relations
I don't really know how to fully explain this. In relations to members he's kept good relation with me, but I'm not sure of his relations with others.

EDIT: If you ever want to improve your IC fighting skills then VM me and I'll get a duel set up between two of our characters. Best way to learn is through experience in my opinion. :CSly

Weiss is extremely helpful in terms of leadership and is very, very active in regards to doing things behind the scenes. He organizes a lot of things and especially tries to cater to the general members instead of focusing on activities just for the higher echelon. He also comes up with clever plots and ideas for people to be involved in, and has always been very reliable.

Yeah, my fighting skills need improvement a lot. I may take you up on your offer, though I'll find out more about my Internet status in Mexico before I start.

Is this a good time to mention I'll become very unreliable this coming month? :CCry1 (JK, I already told you awhile ago)

I occasionally try to cater to the higher ups too but 1) Not too many and 2) They're generally too busy killing each other and singing Kumbaya around a campfire that's burning innocent souls. Still, thanks for the input.

Also, realized I forgot to address this...

True, I will admit I seem to bow to others. Generally it's because I am either convinced or I do see their point of view and willing to step aside, mainly when I know that my own stance is not as strong, but that's beside the point. I confess I am not as strong willed as Sreeya, but I generally try to hold my ground in important matters. Small arguments or debates that could lead to bitching and whining I tend to lean back to avoid making the mess larger than it already is, but not to the point that I step down when I do feel my stance is the correct one.

And as discussed above, I do agree my combat skills do need improvement. For the most part, my battle record (excluding ambushes and tournaments) is defeating one opponent (Tach at Tanaab) and killing one teammate (Emma at Noob Hill).
