Recently on Iego:
"This just in, settlers on Iego have issued a formal SOS, as the Imperial front-lines get closer and closer to the deep core. The S-O-S signal first went up no more than thirteen hours ago where the settlers on the planet reported being under attack, a military strike force was sent to the planet to investigate, though there has been little sign of the team.
Jedi forces commented that the situation was under control and being handled as a priority issue. The S-O-S signal however stopped broadcasting several hours ago, the Jedi intervention team are en route. Though Bismarii Vice Captain of Security Aldurn Vecch say something different on this topic.
That planet is a desolate and dangerous place, trust me, the Jedi going into that hell hole aren't on a rescue mission, it's recovery. Aint nothing down there but corpses... I'd bet my eye on it...
Well, there you have it, more news next hour
~ Holonet Report.
Ignis Vorago sat in a transport Corvette Cruiser// Gunship, as the ship landed, with both himself and four other assorted Jedi, though the team was far from hand picked, it was a response team. The settlement here seemed desolate. Though such was the nature of these things. Whatever was ripping this place to pieces had thirteen hours of free time to do it, though his stomache sank when he saw the devastation.
The Settlers on Iego though armed were not heavily equipped to deal with large or ravenous assaults... and it showed, men woman and children seemed to be ripped to pieces attempting to reach the escape ships. Many of which were gone, and a couple had even crashed back into the surface of the settlement. Chaos lay in the wake of everything, the corpses that could be seen were covered in what looked to be festering wounds which resembled deep claw-marks.
Blood in long streaks coated the ground as the horrific scene panned out, the settlement must have occupied several hundred settlers. Though survivors could be sensed, the panic and fear of the area was thick, almost to the point of being palpable through the force. Ignis immediately drew his force blade, looking to tracks in the sand, they were clawed, mutated and seemingly mammalian... There was something familiar about this place, though he could not put a finger on it...
Okay, students, I want each of you to fan out and scout the perimeter, we'll meet up at the entrance to the city, but first and foremost, sense out all the survivors and tell them to make for the ship, we can shuttle them out, there's only a few dozen of them... I don't sense any hostiles either... yet... ... ...
He spoke loudly and commandingly, looking to the others, beginning to walk to the left, there were two directions, meaning they would have to pair up into teams. The survivors had mostly gathered together in three- four locations, finding them would be easy, and they would more than likely be happy to leave this god forsaken planet.
Ignis could feel the strange powers of Iego wrapping around him, his body stopped ageing, or needing sustenance. Though his sunken tired eyes looked like the Master had seen better days.
