[Caris Orlan]

Caris read quickly across the datapad as Elidan spoke. He was sort of getting used to the communication. “We do.” His words were resolute. He rubbed his eyes in thought. “The Darkside was not present on that world…at least not how I know it.” Caris frowned. “I’ve hunted plenty of Sith and not one of them felt like that.” He tried to stop the sigh that came and failed. He pulled out his datapad before fiddling with secure access. With a few keystrokes he sent an encrypted message to the Council explaining the basics of the situation.

“Look…Elidan…we both want to help these people, but we might not be their best chance. I’m beat to hell, and you just passed out.” His datapad beeped. Caris read the message quickly. “The Council requests we hold orbit and await further instructions.” Another beep. “They will be assigning further assistance.” Caris nearly dropped the datapad. “Oh shit…the Grandmasters coming.” He wasn’t exactly a fan of Alexandria Voran. The Shadows had work to do and she never seemed to be on their side.

[Elidan]

Elidan paid close attention to what Caris said about the Dark side. He knew that during the history of the Galaxy, there were several other groups that studied and manipulated the Force. Many believed that only the Sith and the Jedi could do it, but they were wrong. They had different ways of using and understanding the Force, with some being close to the Dark, while others to the Light.

The Padawan became intrigued when the Knight said that he used to hunt Sith, never having heard that a Jedi used to do it. He wondered what was necessary to do it. Kill these monsters which only purpose was to terrorize the Galaxy. A part of him thought if he would be capable of doing it.

Even if Elidan wanted to argue with the man, he knew that Caris was right. “You are right, if we go after them, we will end up being killed.” they were too weak at the moment to go after these people. The best that they could do was call the Council and wait for their answer. Surely they would send help. With that in mind, the Padawan waited for Master Voran to appear on the Datapad.

[Alexandria Voran]

A hologram of Caris and Elidan blipped before Alex, her own blue figure appearing in the cockpit. She sat behind her desk with her arms folded. The report of their adventure sitting beside her. “I am glad to see you both safe.” Caris was a Shadow who often played too close to the edge. She had thought time with Elidan would ease his soul. Instead, she seemed to have thrown them at a problem not fully understood. “We have searched the archives and there is very little that describes what you found. This is beyond the two of you.” Alex stood and began to pace her office.

“You have done well…Elidan…Caris…you should be proud. I do not know what you uncovered but it is dangerous. Too dangerous for your current condition.” She stopped to look them in the holographic eyes. “Stay where you are. I will be there shortly with reinforcements.” Already the Aurora was being prepped to jump. “You can rest then.” She took a deep breath. “May the Force be with us.” She clicked the connection shut and whisked from the office. She had work to do.
