Indeed it is, I'd happy to you on the roster. When I submit the faction for approval I'll y'all for the character links.

Hey @Galavant so you say you're all for the story eh?

Well how about me and you get together some time like over a cup of coffe or something (PM) and we create some mission packs. I'll throw some Sector Rangers at ORCA and see what all stirs up.

Sound good?

Nahh not at the start at least. I'd prefer things to evolve more naturally through threads being done, rather than missions per se. Like say if you want to do a thread with me, with your Sector Ranger and my Smuggler, that's one thing since there's a more personal element there with the interaction between the characters. Versus a mission where it's usually NPC's who can be replaced at the drop of the hat. They've got their uses sure, but it wouldn't be the way I'd want to set things up for interacting with other factions.

There's also that I kinda got my expectations tempered to start with because

A) I'm lazy and incompetent.
B) Indie Factions die off. A lot.

Hopefully the new member requirements will give them some better staying power, but I'm not gonna go balls to walls with a lot of missions and stuff when there aren't a lot of members involved, and it's generally easy to work up some fun stuff to do on the spot with other PC's that's less plotted out. Two or three missions, and a couple events going are about as far as I'm going with "official" faction stuff.

On that note, for those here, I was thinking about doing a High/Low tempo setup with regards to missions and stuff. Like I know there's people who like to do stuff fast, and people who have busy lives or just like to take it slow. So say one event is geared towards 72 hour posting rounds, while the other has a week or no real time limit. I do like time limits myself for the "getting shit done" factor, but I wouldn't want it be EVERYONE POST-POST-POST NOW-NOW-NOW! or any of that stuff.

Okay I see what you're saying and I agree with you. I too am lazy and incompetent (Don't let Loco know) so mission packs is what I said but....buuuuuut...basically I meant "story with undecided outcome." If that appeals to you and your members more.

Essentially it'd be a smuggling operation gone bad or something of the sort. Then a Sector Ranger gets wind of this and he/she begins to investigate.

You'd elect a member from your faction or do a sign up for your members and select a smuggler PC from ORCA to participate.
I'd create a sign up for the Sector Rangers and choose who will participate.

Then we see who "wins" so to speak.
Do the Sector Rangers catch the smuggler or does the Smuggler get away????

*~*
Also I'd like to say good faction you got here it honestly reminds me of the Sector Rangers except a "bad guy" version. I like how all of your stuff is done IC which is nice because its the same way with the Sector Rangers. We investigate, apprehend, interrogate, put on trial and sentence IC. Also we're legal, which means we don't want to kill the bad guys, we simply want them to live behind bars until they die alone. :)

So ya, this is me saying I like your faction.

Not really where I was going with it. More like, if anyone wants to do stuff with Sector Rangers, cool. If more than one person wants to do stuff with Sector Rangers, even cooler. If that turns into something bigger, awesome. But I'm not really interested in organizing something like that from the get go since I have no idea how things are gonna play out really. What timetables folks prefer, how many there are, and all that stuff isn't something that I can really know before the timeline hits.
