Hello my mango friends. I've seen a rise in mandalorians once again and it is delightful to see. Some people are branching out and their mandalorian character(s) are the first non-force sensitive characters they have ever played. As a result they are unsure of what technology or gear to use. Most of it doesn't matter whether or not you use the force but some of it does. so below I have put out some standard options.
Everything below is borderline generic and does not need any tech plots or extra effort. Your mandalorian can start with the equipment below. Naturally they will acquire more over time and you can choose which pieces you like or dislike and of course tweak. Everything below is just a suggestion from a fellow member. I also have it following the limitations on the number of weapons you can have. There are some other pieces I personally use on every character that I did not include because those were more personal taste than anything and I don't want this to be too complicated.
Feel free to ask me for advice on why I chose what I did or what would be better for upgrades. Hopefully you kick some butt with some of that stuff below.
Armor: Medium Beskar'gam (suggested generic starting loadout - jump boots, thermal undersuit, gription boots, bola launcher)
Or
Heavy Beskar'gam - (suggested generic starting loadout - jump boots, thermal undersuit, gription boots)
Both with DG-500 Dueling Gloves of course
Melee: Beskad or shockboxing gloves or vibro-knife
Sidearm weapon(can carry up to two?): DH-7 Blaster Pistol or Strill Blaster Pistol
Long-arm weapon: WESTAR-C1 Blaster Carbine
Ordnance: 2 fragmentation grenades, 1 concussion grenade, 1 HH-69 Adhesive Grenade
extra gear:
- some macrobinoculars - cuz why waste a function on a Scout HUD when you can just carry some portable zoom.
- Flashlight
- a couple of K.O. squares
- NV5 personav - it's a GPS
- port scanner - pocket slicer that even a caveman can use
- 1x disposable syringe of Rev-all - It's not bacta, but it's the next best thing and your team mates won't hate you as much for sucking
