The Jedi and Sith were in luck for through the orange mist they had made it. The door seemed to suck something free from Arctus as he reached for the handle, but it did open. The next room was far smaller and seemed like a junction for various hallways or perhaps an anteroom of sorts.

The "North" door and "West" door were apparently locked, they had come through the "South" door just now, and the "East" door to their right was rattling as if someone were pulling at it trying to get it open but without success.

When they opened it - for they'd have to as a result of the other doors being locked at the moment - they would find two individuals with weapons at the ready beating on a man in a white coat. To their eyes it was quite clear they were about to execute the man, but that wasn't the concerning part. The concerning part was their appearance. It was quite obvious that they were not alive. They were some form of undead revenant with flesh melting off their skulls in many places and clothes that were tattered and torn. These beings exuded a presence of nothing but harm, animosity, and danger in the Force.

---

Livi and Darius managed to tackle the doctor, restraining him as they saw fit when the door he'd been trying to get through opened. They would see Arctus and Charlotte standing there, but they would be quite unaware of the fact that the Jedi and Sith were seeing something quite different from reality. That they were seeing the pair of Rangers as undead monsters bent on executing the doctor wouldn't even cross their minds.

---

The closet had become exceedingly popular. The crushed vent quite clearly left no room for anything to get through, but when they all looked inside they would find nothing there.

The moment Clove put a finger on the side of the bag, it tipped over and many minced pieces that had once been a person spilled out in a display that was hideous enough to make even those with strong-stomaches queasy. They would all feel a sudden and inexplicable desire to leave the room as quickly as possible.

Clove had joined Ruzaan in the small room, and so had Felix. Ruzaan was in position and ready to strike, confident that he'd trapped the rodent. When he looked inside the vent, however, the creature had vanished; dashing his hopes of showing off for his friends. "Aw man...." he said, shoulders dropping in defeat. "There was a rat or something... I really thought I had it" he responded to Felix. This trip was really turning into a clunker...

Things got even worse when Clove tipped over the bloody bag, which splashed across the floor and onto his lower leg. At the same time, it dawned upon him that perhaps he had been wrong to ignore the bloody bag of... human bits?!?!

Ruzaan gagged and stumbled out of the small room and back into the main medical center, before glancing around and realizing that he, Clove, and Felix were alone in the wing; save for the dead bodies that were, in fact, dead. Unable to shake the unease that had settled over him, Ruzaan jerked a thumb in the direction of the unpleasant Sith trooper's receding footsteps and turned to Felix and Clove. "I suddenly don't want to be here anymore" he said, his prior confidence gone. "Should... should we follow him?" If they agreed, he would lead them in the direction of the Sith trooper, the Rangers, and the mad doctor.

Crumbling Ruin
The Altar

The fixation on the switch did make sense; it was an obvious escape route. He had to admit that opening a presumably dry path out of here was preferable to diving into the water. Even though Laeonas had done "exceedingly well," according to his instructor, plunging into a pool of uncharted water wasn't very appealing. Neither of their options were good; both were absurdly risky, and the likelihood of them encountering another horror going forward was almost certain. A small part of Laeonas simply wanted to curl up into a ball and die.

But the overwhelming drive to survive outweighed any pessimistic defeatism in his soul. He wasn't about to die in here; he refused to. Even if he did, he'd make sure that the ruins around them would collapse just as well. Hell, assuming the force keeping that had burst "Gamall" apart could take physical form, he'd spend the next few hours making it suffer in the worst ways he could possibly think of. There were plenty of interesting ways bones could be broken; he'd be making sure that it got acquainted with all of them.

A choice was presented; the switch, or the water. Though the quip from the woman who wasn't albino was annoying, he couldn't disagree with it.
"Tha switch is our best 'ope of gettin' out'f 'ere; but be ready." Laeonas added, unsheathing his vibrosword. If their last encounter had been any indication, the enemy wouldn't be something that could easily be shot at. Even still, he chose to keep it at the ready, so with his bad hand, and a bit of work with the force, he'd toss off his own jacket.

Unlike the woman beside the albino, he was only carrying one additional weapon. Ofcourse, that wasn't counting his own body, whose toned figure was much more evident while he was in the skin tight mesh. The stance he took evidenced some training, waist shifting his weight from one leg to the next in an idle movement. Eyes darted around the room at the others, checking to see just how prepared they were for what could come next. The man at the switch was a force user, and so was the heavily armed woman. The albino was standing around playing with the water like a six year old in a tub, and the mando...

...was reaching for a mysterious green candle, in a temple full of illusions, horrifying monstrosities, and hostile spirits.

The force in this place was foggy, but it wasn't at all impossible to draw on. His will and the intensity of panic and anger that radiated from him only strengthened his connection. Once again, amber rings flared around aquamarine irises, and the man dropped his vibrosword in order for his hand to reach out and pull. Instantly, the force would curl around the man's beskar covered arms, and yank. It was at an entirely unnatural angle, but Laeonas hardly cared about any physical injury that might be done in that moment.

"WHAT'RE YA DOIN?!" Laeonas roared, anger dripping from his words. "Of all tha ASININE, trogged, STU-PID things Ai've seen a man do, th'at ALMOST took tha cake!" He shouted, cross the room brief distance abruptly. "Graspin' at odd lights laike a fuckin' moth ta flame, really?! Ai thought ya were a warrior, not a karkin' fly brained MOR-ON!" He spat the venomous insult out like one did when finishing a wad of juma gum. He'd been just as eager to escape as the others, so he'd made peace with the risks of opening the door and prepared for what could come.

But... this? There was no value in the obviously odd light source in their escape. There was power in simple gestures here, power in small things. Power that could trap, bind, and possibly kill. That the Mandalorian had so brazenly attempted to interact with that power without any regard for the consequences was frighteningly incompetent.

With a final push of the force, he'd attempt to throw the mandalorian against the wall opposite from the switch. He didn't bother to see if he'd succeeded, instead turning around and summoning his blade to his functioning hand.
"Ya do th'at again, and Ai'll make ya wish those insects ate ya." He finished. The Mandalorian had been a distraction; what came next could be far worse than anything that embracing the flame could entail.

CRUMBLING RUINS
THE ALTAR

A flurry of activity happened all at once. Perhaps not all of it would be noticed by the many in the room, certainly not the minute details, but they happened all the same.

First was the innocuous little switch, ordinary and unassuming as anything in this place. The most obvious and easiest way somewhere out of the glyph-covered altar room. A creaking rumble echoed from within the wall as ancient mechanisms shifted and shook. Previously unseen seams appeared in the stone as part of the wall began to lower into the floor.

The armoured man moved to grasp the green-flame candle and Laeonas seemed to take offense to it. Angered, he reached for the Force. In this room, most of all, doing so was a mistake.

Amber rings flared around aquamarine- and everything went wrong. Laeonas' influence pulled the candle from its place to fly toward him as well as Drak's arms. Rather than his roaring exclamations half his words came out as the wild ululations of a rage-maddened man. The Force did not work here like it was meant to, twisted and fogged. When the self-taught Force wielder called on his anger in such a place he brought that corruption into himself.

Rankling whispers called, cackling that only Laeonas could hear. His skin would flush with his rage, every muscle tightly tense as wrought iron. Screaming emphasized a push that flung itself out wildly in all directions instead of the intended target, anyone in the room able to feel the wave of kinetic energy's impact. Ripley, dipping her fingers into the bright water, would be shoved, spinning, forward toward the pool. Its gentle ripples seemed undisturbed by the fighting right up until she splashed into it.

Just before she hit the water her eyes may pass over the room, if she hadn't closed them. Beneath the surface she'd find quite suddenly she could see beyond the murk- there! Ahead, what had once been a hall before it flooded. Would it lead to salvation, or death by drowning?

Then the secret door hit the ground. It was entirely unlit and smelled of mold and rotting flesh. Dark was the path but there, half-lit, was clearly a vaguely humanoid finger. Slumped against a wall it seemed to writhe on the surface, hidden in shadow. Then the buzzing started.

Across its surface the wriggling movements exploded into motion, bursting from what turned out to be a desiccated skeleton in an
angry swarm. At a glance they were massive wasps, with eyes as bright red as forging coals. Each threatened with stingers like sewing needles and carried some unknown venom for those who'd disturbed them, wings like a dragonfly's harmonizing into a roaring buzz as they rushed to sting the nearest target- Senin.

Close inspection- if one bothered to examine one of them at some point- would determine something odd bout how they looked and moved. Aside from being wasps of unusual size with bright red eyes.

HUMBLE TOWN

  • Mik's question ceased the assault for a moment. Though her fast was still twisted with resentment and rage, tears streaking from the corners of her eyes.

    I can never leave here, Mik. She said, her voice barely above a whisper.

    For a split moment, Mik would see his wife shimmer. almost as if she were fading out of vision. She would look like she used to, whole, clean, and happy. It faded as quickly as it had come and Mik's wife returned to what she was. Decrepit, wasting away, broken.

    You still have a choice. You can stay and be with me forever, or you can leave me here all alone.

    A portal would manifest in the room with Mik, and even he would be able to tell that it was unstable and it would not last for long. He would have to make his choice quickly or it would be made for him.

For a moment Mik forgot about all his doubts and fears. Seeing his wife as she looked before the accident, how she still looked on the holo-image on his desk or those in his Cantonica home. If she had asked him then, in that very moment whether he'd stay he wouldn't have had to think twice, but she didn't.. she asked after she returned to her decrepit, broken state.

Now her words fell flat. He didn't have his answer about the afterlife and he feared it. An eternity stuck in a white room, wasting away like Mia had. Was his love for his late wife that strong, or had it faded in the years since her death. His eyes went for the portal. Was this the choice between living or an eternity of torment? Would getting tortured together be worth such a fate? His eyes shifted back to Mia and if she was truly his late wife than she would understand the look in his eyes.

"I'm sorry," he whispered with a broken voice and then quickly made his way through the portal. He didn't want to see her reaction, he didn't want to hear her response and he would most likely never forgive himself.

@Logan

HUMBLE TOWN.

Trini glowered at Allery as she smirked, the Amaran drawing her stingbeam and holding it ready at her side. She followed along behind Ashla, continuing to keep an eye on Allery as they walked.

"The hells I am." She muttered darkly.

When they reached the landing, Trini turned back to Allery as she spoke, producing a glowrod from her pocket and briefly shining it on the strange female before aiming it ahead into the gloom.

"This building makes no architectural sense. There was no room for that many stairs, based on what I saw outside."

She peered ahead down the long, dark hallway.

"What kind of monsters? I'm presuming they won't take any more kindly to you than to us."

@Logan @Eccles @Nor'baal @Nefieslab @Wit @DarkSaber

HUMBLE TOWN

Ashla had to agree with Trini's comment about the manor's architecture, they had been climbing for a really long time. But then this wasn't the first time something weird had happened this night. Something had drawn them all here, that fog outside and been anything but natural, and then there was the voice she had heard, the figure she had seen, the hand she had taken. And she got the feeling that it might not be the last oddity they would encounter.

As they finally reached the top of the staircase, finding themselves in a dark, uninviting hallway. As Allery spoke from behind them, Ashla finally had enough and reached under her cloak and grabbed one of the blades hanging there.

"In that case," she replied as she activated the shoto, the lightsaber's blue blade acting like a slightly oversized glow-stick and gave them some light to go by, "let there be light."

She began walking walking down the hallway, looking back at at Alley and Trini as she began moving. "Coming?"

Throwing himself through a strange portal was one thing but being followed by a pale twi-lek with some black head tattooes was with him. She seemed rather desperate but that kind of made sense - he didn't think that anyone aside from the most fool creatures would fit in here at all. He stared down at the twi-lek for a second before he made his decision.

Regardless of what this situation seemed like... he was still a Jedi so he held out his left hand for her to take.

"Come with me and we'll make it out alive."

Of course he wanted to throw up because of the experience of the portal itself but still - he was doing his best to project confidence. Looking around, Crix's eyes narrowed and his grip on his lightsaber tightened as he looked at the metal of the cell bars around them. Next, the smell caught up with him and he very nearly threw up once more.

Gagging on the smell of so much blood, he looked down and around at both of them now covered in old blood of varying ages and corpses long since dead. He swallowed thickly and ignited his lightsaber before attempting to cut through the lock of the cell doors.

"We need to move... I don't know where we are but corpses and blood pools...?"
he grimaced and gagged again, "Force above it's disgusting..."

@Logan @DarkSaber

Mik would hear the horrified wailing of his wife as he broke for the portal. He would hit it and fall right through, the portal itself sealing up tightly behind him almost instantly. He would feel like he was falling down a chasm with no end, darkness and the sound of wind whipping past his ears the only thing his senses could perceive.

It would feel like he was falling for days, but eventually he would wake up, and when his eyes adjusted to the change in light, he would find himself in a cell. Should he get up and take a look through the barred door, he would see two others in a cell opposite him. A Zabrak and a Twi'lek.

As Crix attempted to slice the bars in an attempt to escape, he would find that his weapon did not produce the effect he desired. In fact, the blade of the lightsaber didn't seem to harm the lock at all.

After what seemed like hours, seemingly out of nowhere, the doors to the cells would swing open. Should the newly formed trio venture out, they would find a a long room that contained numerous cells identical to the ones they had just found themselves in.

At the far end of the room opposite them, they would see a set of stairs that headed up - the only path out as far as they could gather. At the top of the stairs was a large wooden door on heavy hinges and it stood slightly ajar. Beyond it, they could see a faint glow of deep red, and it would remind Crix of the light the runes he had seen before entering the portal.

--

Allery no longer seemed interested in answering anyone's questions. She would merely follow Trini and Ashla as they made their way down the hall. As they made their way through, eventually they would round a bend to find another hallway. Though this one had a very distinctive door at the far end.

Through the glow of Ashla's lightsaber and Trini's glowrod, the two would see the shadows shifting, moving unnaturally. It seemed most noticeable near the door, and the closer the two came to it the more they would each be filled with an increasing sense of dread.

Once they were about halfway down, they would feel a strange sensation grasping at their legs. What seemed to be hands made of shadow were grabbing at them, clawing, trying to grip them and drag them off into the dark.

Clove knew she had a pretty strong stomach. She wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty, despite her preference for dressing up as a sugar plum fairy on Hallowe'en and swirling around in big floofy skirts. Especially when it came to matters such as blood.

But a bag of blood filled with minced human meat spilling over? No. That was the limit.

With several gags, two of which were too intense for comfort, she backpedaled before turning around, finally managing to take her gaze away from the horrifying scene. She grabbed Felix by the sleeves and set off after Ruz, dragging Felix along as if her life depended on it. "No. Nop. We're not staying here, in that closet, or anywhere else. Nop."

"Perfect, let's go! If we stay here, I'm going to puke, and no lesson Crix has ever taught me will prevent that. So to the rangers and Sith! Because somehow that creepy Sith is better than whatever the Force decided to give us in this bloody infirmary. No. Pun. Intended." Another gag hunched her shoulders up to her twitching ears.

"Felix. Lead the way." If he did, she'd follow him down the path that led to the other people. And even if he didn't, she'd try to go anyway.

Livi looked up when the door opened, revealing two of the people from earlier. Naturally, she had no idea how she appeared to them. She waved her hand, “Hey!” Her eyes lit up, “Good to see you alive,” To them, she likely groaned and was making threatening gestures with her hand. Livi glanced back at Darius.

“Keep him down!!” She kept her gun trained on the doctor, still very tense. She had no desire to remove him from her sights.

“Start talking, fucker,” Livi snapped at the doctor, “How do we get out of here?” She had no interest in asking about the doctor’s life story or learning about this place. She knew she wanted out of here. The fact that the door opened to the other two people from before made her heart sink in the prospect of an exit.

“Why are you standing there with your thumbs up your asses?” She snapped as she looked up at the Jedi and Sith, “Come help us with this fucker! There’s a patient in a wheelchair behind us that might need help.”

All of this came out as undead groaning, her irritated demeanor coming across as snarling and roaring threateningly.

Yeah Lorcan took one look at the screeching Jedi children messing around with bags full of blood and ventilation shafts and decided that he was going to be as far away from there as possible. There was a comment on the tip of his tongue about the whole thing but he decided against it – he didn’t want to engage too much with the children in case they suddenly thought that he was part of the effort to babysit them.

Speaking of, he needed to catch up with the Rangers who had played the part of babysitter so far. Drawing his pistol, Lorcan headed off to catch up to the rangers from the ISC and the Doctor – if they had managed to catch the weasel. Of course when he turned the corner and stepped out into the middle of the hallway, Lorcan saw the Rangers beginning to subdue the Doctor.

He slowed his steps until he spotted one of the older Jedi and the Sith woman from before standing through a doorway.

Unfortunately, Lorcan had no idea that anything was wrong so he relaxed a little bit and raised a hand to wave at the Sith and the older Jedi.

“Hey!”
he called out to them bluntly, “What you manage to figure out about this crazed shithole?!”

As far as he was aware, after all, they were just meeting up in the middle of their separate searches while the two ISC Rangers subdued the demented doctor.

Humble Town

His lightsaber didn’t do anything to the bars or the lock of the cell they found themselves in – it was like his lightsaber just kind of flowed around them rather than through them and that? That was mildly terrifying in a situation where even the mildly terrifying was exacerbated by the sheer amount of fuckery that was going on within this humble little town.

Hearing movement, Crix gripped his lightsaber tighter despite the recent evidence that it was less of a trump card than he had expected. It was still one of his main weapons to get the hell out of this place. Spotting someone falling out of a portal into a nearby cell, Crix noted that it was the human man he had followed into the town before they broke away from each other.

“Hey, you alright?”

Last thing he wanted was for someone to have broken their neck falling out of a portal.

When the doors to the cells opened without warning, Crix immediately felt a shiver run down his spine. The locks had survived his lightsaber without issue but now they opened? The only answer he had was that they had opened at the command of someone else… which meant that they were being watched by someone or something.

He grimaced as he inched his way forward, up the stairs toward the heavy wooden doors. Seeing the red glow around the edges of the door, he turned to his fellows.

“Doesn’t take the brains of a Moff to know ominous glowing is bad, especially when it reminds me of those runes but…”
he eyed the door, “I don’t think we have a better option. If either of you two do? Please talk me out of this.”

If he was not talked out of it, Crix would attempt to open the doors in the most novel way for a Jedi in a hostile environment – he just used the handle.

HUMBLE TOWN.

As Trini, Allery and Ashla made their way down the hallway, rounding a corner and seeing the door at the far end, Trini felt her sense of unease and dread about her surroundings growing with every step. The hallways made no sense either; not only was it strange that there was only the one door along their entire length, but as with the stairs, their dimensions didn't match with what Trini had seen from the outside. The Amaran gritted her teeth; this was all very unsettling.

Trini refused to let it make her panic, however.

"Alright, spill." She said, whirling to shine her light directly in Allery's face. "Where in the seven hells are we, because if we're still in that mansion on the hill, I'll-"

Abruptly, something brushed the Amaran's leg, and she jumped, looking down as shadows stretched out to reach for her like so many hands. She cursed loudly in Old Tionese, and stamped on a shadowy appendage with her foot; she automatically aimed her stingbeam at the others she could see swirling around her and Ashla.

"Oh what now!!"

OOC: Not-So-Abandoned Building

Blessed Darkness the door opened. Charlotte breathed a deep sigh of relief when nothing came to kill them from the mist. She was equally relieved when the door reveled an empty room. For a moment, she was slightly less afraid. Maybe they would get out of here. Charlotte stepped into the room around the Jedi. She did not want to be in that mist any longer. It was only then she noticed one of the doors rattling. Odd. She barely got two feet in the room when the door burst open.

Her eyes widened. The scene was horrific. A doctor or what appeared to be a doctor being wailed on. She shifted her focus to the attackers. Oh fuck. Creatures of eldritch horror stared back at them. Bestial groans pouring from their mouths. Charlotte began backing up. “Nope…nope…nope.” Fear…terror…panic pour into the Force. Flesh hung awkwardly from the undead faces. Unnatural even by her standards.

She fed it all to the Darkness. Her left hand shot out and a powerful wave of the Force roaring forth. She had one goal. Slam those disgusting creatures against the wall and splatter their droopy brains across the room. Charlotte honestly didn’t care what happened to the doctor as long as the undead died again.

[Not-so] Abandoned Building

Arctus had been too relieved, too suprised by the fact that the door opened with just a single twist and push from the brass handle, to even notice that something was sucked free from him. There was no deciphering what said something might be – not when he didn't even notice in the first place. He stepped aside to let Charlie enter first, glanced back at the weird orange mist outside, then followed her inside.

There were three more doors waiting for the Jedi and the Sith when they entered the room, with the one to their right rattling quite noticeably. It took his attention from the remaining doors and perhaps that was for the best given that they were locked. Rushing towards it the former smuggler didn't think twice and wrenched the rattling door open, fear emanating from it through the Force. The only logical explanation he could come up with was that whoever was behind the door needed help for their fear hung thick and heavy in the Force–

Hazel grey eyes fell on the doctor lying– no, being pinned to the ground first. Arctus's gaze swept up to the man's captors and wished he hadn't.

A pair of rotted, undead creatures – because there was no way those could still be considered human – set upon the poor doctor, their skin and flesh seemingly melting off of their bones. So focused on the downed doctor they were that they didn't seem to pay attention to the new comers first, until one of the undead (@Sreeya) looked up and met Arctus's horrified gaze.

The Padawan was seeing the creatures physically, but through the Force it was a different sight.

Black. Black. Black and murky red like dried blood drowned out by black black black too much black too much fear and terror and animosity and thick, inky, corrosive blackblackblackblackblack

"Holy fucking shit!" the former smuggler yelled in abject fright, his connection to the Light growing steadily muddled as Charlie's fear and panic bled and fed his own. Yellow flecks flickered momentarily through hazel grey when a third undead (@Nefieslab) joined the party, snarling and shrieking threateningly like the other one. The Force swelled around Charlie and by some miracle Arctus moved in time with her, wrapping the Force around the doctor and would pull him away from the second undead's (@Altaris) grasp just as the Sith Pushed at the nightmarish creatures.

Should his Pull to the doctor proved to be successful, Arctus would hoist the terrified man back up to his feet. The Padawan didn't even try to shoot, somewhat getting the feeling that even if he set his blaster to lethal it couldn't possibly kill what had already been dead.

But it could stop them.

Blow those brains out, Arctus! roared the Dark Side gleefully, cackling when he lifted his weapon. Light them up!

He ignored it in favor of turning to look at Charlie. "We have to fall back! What if there's more of these freaks out there–"

A glacial chill crept up his spine as he supported the doctor on their way back to the door he and Charlie had previously gone through. But where would they go? Back outside in the midst of that orange mist, back towards that door that had locked when they stepped out of the chapel? Another realization then crept to the forefront of Arctus's mind.

Fuck, he... he left his fellow Padawans behind. What if more of these monsters have accosted Clove, Felix, and Ruzaan?

A different kind of fear swallowed Arctus's heart whole. The yellow flecks returned, standing in contrast to the hazel grey of his eyes. Terror for his fellow Padawans gripped him – he shouldn't have left them, he was the oldest, they were his friends, what if the Rangers failed to protect them and they were now fending for themselves? Or worse–

What if they're dead?

No!

Mik had plenty of time to reflect and regret his decision as he fell through a dark void that seemed to be even worse than the white room with his late beloved, yet for some reason he couldn't explain, it didn't feel worse to him at all. When he finally managed to open his eyes to find himself in a cell, with other living things, the corporate exec felt grateful. It was weird. He had been given the chance to live an eternity with his late wife and yet.. would he go back there if he died? He didn't like the prospect of that and that certainly made him think..

.. maybe Systech Corporation can develop something -an adrenal- to make him live longer..

The young Zabrak's words only barely managed to come through before the door of his cell opened and Mik finally managed to sit up straight, "Any of you seen Julia?" he asked, referencing the fellow corporate exec he had been travelling with when he got stranded in this weird situation. "Whatever you do," he grunted as he pushed himself off the floor and rose to his feet, "don't try the Chandrilitini. Worst drink I've ever had," well, that wasn't true. The drink itself had been the best he'd ever had, but the side-effects were.. well, heartbreaking.

As they reached the stairs the young Zabrak said something about glowing runes, but all Mik saw as "Oh you mean the red neon?" he asked the kid, "Let me tell you. Red neon is usually a good sign." and he walked up the stairs, letting the Zabrak try the handle.

Crumbling Ruins

After he activated the switch, Senin started to hear a creaking sound coming from behind the wall. Soon a stone started to lower into the floor. The Acolyte smiled behind his mask. It could be an exit from this place.

However, what he saw behind the stone made his face become pale. The corpse was nothing that he couldn’t deal with, but the insects that started to come from it scared Senin more than anything that he saw so far in this place. Wasps, a swarm of giant wasps. He thought what he did to deserve facing such creatures. The truth was, he was terrified of wasps, ever since one of them stung him when he was a child.

All the others in the room would be able to hear his scream, while he ran as fast as he could to avoid the sting of these creatures “Cavalos-do-cão! Maribondos! Wasps! Kill these things!” Senin would scream while running in panic. Not caring about anything else, he would run to the water where Ripley had fallen and would jump there. Holding his breath as long as he could, the Acolyte would stay there until someone put an end to those monsters.

And then everything that could go wrong went wrong as the candle came the Mandalorian's way...Yet Drak decided to not take it and let it escape his grap as angry, barely unintelligible words came from the man with a funny accent, Drak could not quite tell what the man was saying as he pushed him away using the force, the Mandalorian falling to the ground but quickly rolling over to get up, his instincts making him point his weapon at Laeo, more than ready to pull the trigger.

But then he instead put his hand on his head, shaking it as if he was trying to make himself come back to his senses, just why did he do that? Why did the green flame interest him so much? By all accounts what he did was foolish, something that he wouldn't have normally done, with or without his lost memories...That green flame could be dangerous, yet it was so alluring...Just what should the Mandalorian do?

His mind, however would stop focusing on the green flame for a second as a new way was opened...and a new swarm of insects came out from yet another corpse, his flame projector quickly creating flames positioned inbetween the wasps and the young mask wearer as to create a barrier before hunters and prey before moving the flame directly towards the wasps, this fire was not green and it filled Drak with dread...but it would have to do, because, even if he did not know, sorcery coming from the other people in here would be dangerous, and so his flames were the best weapon against such horrors.

But just in case, as he scorched the wasps coming towards Senin, Drak walked towards the water as well, knowing what he had to do if the flames were not good enough.

Abandoned Building

Darius couldn’t help but be a bit impressed with his spectacular tackle of the Doctor. With moves like that, the Lokkian couldn’t help but very briefly start to reconsider his current career path as a Ranger. After all, professional Huttball players happened to make far more than the ISC was paying.

Of course, Darius could’ve simply stunned the guy, but after all the trouble they’d but them through? Tackling him was the decidedly more satisfying course of action. Of course, this meant that the doctor was still conscious, and the Lokkian’s train of thought was interrupted as the doctor began to wildly flail his arms, bucking upwards in an attempt to shove Darius off of him.

“Would you kindly fuck off with that and hold still!?” The Lokkian roughly grabbed the doctor by the wrists, keeping the man’s arms cranked behind his back. Believe it or not, Darius didn’t actually want to get stabbed with a used needle, and worked diligently to keep the man’s limbs restrained the entire time after that. He paused, blinking a few times as he glanced up to the now-open door.

What is it with this place and randomly opening doors?

His attention was immediately drawn to the reappearance of the two other people. Given that Darius was still conked the fuck out when they decided to split up, he hadn’t even noticed their absence and the Lokkian was slightly confused that the pair weren't behind them in the infirmary.

Whatever.

He flashed the pair a bright, toothy smile. “Hey guys! Mind giving us a hand with this fucker—” The Lokkian didn’t even have time to finish his sentence. Blue eyes went wide when Charlotte’s left hand shot out, unleashing a powerful blast of the Force that sent Darius flying like a ragdoll across the room, the doctor yanked away from his grasp by the other Force-user.

Luckily for Darius, his body didn’t make hard impact with the walls of the hallway – sparing his brains from being splattered across the room. Instead, the Lokkian hurtled through the air until he unceremoniously crashed into the patient that had been abandoned in the hallway, toppling the wheelchair over and leaving both Darius and the semi-conscious vegetable strewn across the floor.

“Ugghh…” He groaned, squinting at the white spots that flickered across his vision – making no attempt to scramble back to his feet.

Felix patted Ruzaan on the shoulder at his disappointment at not capturing his rat. "Maybe next time." as he finished his words Clove knocked over the blooded bag, spilling what looked to be minced human, his hand came up to his mouth and nose, covering as he tried not to gip at the sight and smell with a feeling of not wanting to be here anymore.

before he could say anything, his sleeve was grabbed by Clove and dragged towards the hallway door the sith and the ranger took. "alright let's go," he was in charge so Felix would lead way down the hallway at a slow jog in the direction the sith and the rangers went down hoping to catch up with them, hopeful they caught the doctor and hoped hadn't hurt them in anyway.

during this somewhat quiet time, his mind briefly drifted to Arctus and where he was, he hoped he was okay. he would try to contact him on his comm, "Arctus are you there, we 're moving from the infirmary, just thought I'd let you know" he didn't know if comms would work on this planet but it was worth try at least.

Crumbling Ruins: The Altar
~~~
Cool water flowed silently around the tips of Ripley's fingers, its effects strangely calming and comforting in a way she had not expected. If the Arkanian closed her eyes, she could almost imagine she was somewhere else. A breathtaking beach on Spire with a cool drink in her hand or a grassy plateau near a waterfall on Naboo.
The ravings of a mad man snatched these more pleasant thoughts from her mind, forcibly dragging her back to reality. His screams echoed off the walls of the altar room, his roars an auditory nightmare. The man's infuriating accent had made his words difficult to understand before, but now it was impossible. He spoke gibberish, nonsense. More so than usual.
He'd thrown his jacket off to one side, his hands reaching out toward the Mandalorian to impart punishment for some trumped up grievance. It was only a matter of time before one of them turned on the rest of the group, and now this traitor had revealed himself.
Ripley was not surprised. He was just the sort of hot-headed, macho type that would be the first to lose himself to the darkness. A nerve burner in serious need of a shrink. Why did the good looking ones always have the absolute worst personalities?
His nonsensical ramblings weren't helping, and neither was he. In fact, just what had he contributed to the group? Before she could tell him to shut his trap, he did the unthinkable. Lashing out at the Mandalorian with the force, shades of crimson and cerulean and emerald shot from his hands. They were faint but just visible enough to register. Each hue rippled through the air, wrapping around the Mandalorian's arm and jerking him forward.
Ripley's eyes widened, marveling at the amalgamation of colors as they spread throughout the room in all directions. Shock waves rolled into those within the vicinity, and the Arkanian was sent spiraling backwards into the pool with a splash.
Her stomach throbbed, as if she'd just been sucker punched in the gut. Beneath the surface of the water and the floating murk, her white eyes opened to see a hallway ahead, completely submerged. Now two possible paths lie ahead of the group. The Arkanian came up for air, her head bobbing above the surface of the water before she crawled onto the submerged steps that led into the water.
"You son of a bantha!" she spluttered with all the rage she could muster, wiping water from her eyes. She couldn't remember his name, but everyone would know who she was talking to.
Her sopping wet hair clung to her face as she looked around the room. The secret door had finally finished opening, and chaos had erupted in the room once again.
The Mandalorian was spraying the room with flames again as large wasps circled them. The masked man let out a blood curdling scream, running for the water as if his life depended on it. Ripley was forced to move to one side as he flung himself into the pool, more water spraying onto her.
"Watch it, jester!" she snapped, really in a foul mood.
HUMBLE TOWN
The further they got, the more Ashla's unease grew. Despite what had happened earlier, despite whatever that thing might have said to her, things were getting creepier and creepier by the second. And now that she thought about it, when had she received any sort of assurance that the answers she sought wouldn't come at a price. For all she knew she'd get them in the afterlife.
Shaking her head to brush away those thoughts, wondering if this place was somehow making her get all these morbid thoughts, she continued moving, till Trini rounded on Allery and began questioning her. Ashla stopped as well, only to notice something brush against her foot. She looked down to notice the tendrils of darkness trying to grab at her.
Moving instinctively, she swung her blade to swat them away, and looking from Trini to the door, made a snap decision.
"Run," she shouted as she started running towards the door at the far end of the hallway, "the door!"
Crumbling Ruins
Were it not for the mystery of the ruins placing each of these travellers in peril, what proceeded to take place would have been quite comical to the Sith Champion as she observed from the sidelines. Laeonas, of which his name still remained beyond Sah’ra’s recollection, had finally flipped his lid. As he reached out towards the Mandalorian, incoherent rage dictating his actions, all she could do was clasp her hands together with a hearty laugh though what followed quickly subdued any sense of hilarity. Not by the reaction of the armored man but rather the reaction of the ruins themselves.
Almost as though he was incapable of channeling a power far greater than he had anticipated himself of having, a wave of energy was poured forth in every direction and even the ever observant Champion found herself incapable of evading it’s throws. Instead, she was thrust back into the chamber wall with such force that every ounce of air in her lungs was soon gone. As she recovered, leaning downward with one hand on her knees as she struggled to regain her breath, she found the maniacal ravings of Laeonas to be absolutely infuriating,
”Seriously, could you just not,” the woman managed to choke out between ragged breaths but soon found that the lunatic in the center of the room was far from the most prominent issue. While she had been eager to see what would occur as the masked man activated the switch, the distraction she had been so enthralled by had occupied much of her attention. Now, as the buzzing of wasps soon dominated the chamber, she was forced to act despite her current condition.
Given that her air intake was still drastically incapacitated, leaping into the water was even lower on her list of desired activities than before. She contemplated calling on the Force and amplifying the flames cast out from the Mandalorian’s weapon but quickly reconsidered, given the results of Laeonas’ own outward manipulation of the Force. No, her only reasonable choice was to join the others in the pool of water so join them she did. As she leapt in between Ripley and Senin, the woman knew she would not be able to hold her breath for long without assistance and given that leaving even a speck of skin above the water’s surface offered an even more threatening death than simply drowning, she decided to take her chances. With hopes that a less hostile approach would not lead to similarly devastating results, Sah'ra called upon the Force to prolong the little air she was able to draw in prior to her leap. She remained fully submerged as her eyes soon fell upon the hallway, curious if this may finally be their ticket out of this forsaken place.
