New title announced for the upcoming Spider-Man film dated to release in 2017. I was hoping they'd go with Spectacular Spider-Man since Homecoming is a tad on the nose.

My disappointment is with the villain, I guess Vulture has been confirmed? How about Kraven? Chameleon? Mysterio? I'd even take Scorpion over Vulture, he just seem very bottom-of-the-barrel.

I have heard nothing confirming any plot details other than what has already been learned from Civil War. I think Vulture could be a fine villain(While not applicable he was great in Noir), but I am more disappointed we are back in highschool... again. A place Peter Parker hasn't been for decades.

To me another Spider Man origin story is going to feel the exact same as seeing Batman's parents get killed for the 100th time. It holds no real value anymore

THEN YOU ARE IN LUCK! This film has been confirmed as a non-origin story. I believe Civil War will also not introduce Peter as a teen who gets bit by a spider and assume the collective audience knows or if they are curious enough will go find out. The film will most likely be set after Civil War which also lends itself to not showing the origin.
