Spooky Wookiee
Yavin System
The stars stretched blue shifted to black as her E-wing emerged from hyperspace. After a lengthy journey with many navigational stops and a few false jumps to conceal her heading, Ariadne had finally returned to Yavin and was eager to get out of her E-wing, get on the ground and stretch, maybe take a nice long soak in the sonic shower. An emergency beeping on the communications console dashed all those thoughts as it picked up an urgent line from Yavin.
"Knight Harro, we have just picked up an emergency distress signal from the Wookiees. A flash flood tore through a war refugee camp and the wookiee's dont have the resources to handle it. Do you have enough fuel to turn around and head there now?" The voice carried over the line, another Knight who was manning the communications. Ariadne glanced at her fuel gauge as she punched in the commands for a course to Kashyyyk. She was nearly running on hypermatter fumes but Kashyyyk was a short jump.
"Calculating... Barely, but just enough." She replied, a pause over the line.
"Come in for refueling and then turn around." The voice sounded uncertain. From the sounds of things the situation on the ground on Kashyyyk were not good. Ariadne could picture a refugee camp in a flash flood. Thousands of beings in panic, what they could gather of their uprooted lives swept away. A memory of the last of her own breath bubbling up and out of her own mouth as she sunk under water came unbidden to her head. She had been saved by a Jedi.
"Negative. Setting course now." Ariadne said as she pulled on the stick and pressed a pedal, banking as she swung around to head back out. She could make it there and help now, so she would. Precious minutes would be wasted landing and refueling. Minutes that some people might not have.
"Harro, you need to refuel. There are reports of dise-" The knights words cut away as the stars stretched and Ariadne launched into hyperspace in her E-wing.

Kashyyyk
Coming out of hyperspace on Kashyyyk, Ariadne could see that she wasn't the only one to respond to the calls for aid as a few other random ships and freighters came out of hyperspace nearby. But she was faster than them and her E-wing swept towards the surface as she communicated with the ground, securing herself a platform at the filling spaceport. Landing, her robes flashed out of her cockpit as she landed on the hardwood landing platform, smoothing her brown robe and adjusting her utility belt and lightsaber as she looked around.
"Where do I go to aid with the refugee camp efforts?" Ariadne asked the stressed looking Wookiee tech as he waved an arm and roared. At least she assumed he was stressed, she didn't actually know what a stressed wookiee looked like. Ariadne's brow wrinkled. She also didn't know Shriiwook. "Yes... Thank you." She forced as she glanced from the tech to her ship. "Refill her please, she's almost empty." Ariadne gestured to the E-wing before breaking into a run and dashing off with the Wookiee roaring what she could only assume was an affirmative to her back.
Asking the first non-Wookiee she saw about where to go, she was quickly directed to an elevator that travelled the down the length of the great tree the spaceport was nestled up near the top of, passing a makeshift medical and processing center that had sprung up around the elevator doors where refugees filtered in to the treetop city from below. The ride down gave her a good idea of the situation as she could see the refugee camp quite clearly from her vantage. The flooded out camp was a mess of waterswept tents and crates that floated in the water. She could almost make out figures swimming about, watercraft and repulsorcraft darting too and fro among the chaos as they tried to help whoever they could. The daylight still lit the scene as the sun glinted off of the newly formed 'river' through the canopy of the forest, but shadows were already beginning to be cast. Soon the efforts would have to continue in darkness.
The elevator came to a halt at what seemed to be a makeshift stop, a few feet above ground level and Ariadne stepped out onto what seemed to be a makeshift and hastily constructed dock. Beside her a group of huddled refugees shivered as they were guided into the next elevator to the safety of the city above. She could feel shock and anguish radiating off of the group, and she felt a pull in the force towards the strangers, but she hesitated. She knew that there were many more who needed help out in the running floodwaters and this group had already been saved.
And then they were in the elevator and speeding on their way up to safety. Ariadne expected to feel relieved, but instead felt a shiver down her spine. Something was wrong. Before she could think on her foreboding however, a pair of hands shot from the water nearby and a man struggled as he tried to stay at the surface.
"Help me get him!" She shouted as she stepped towards the dock edge, raising both of her arms to elevate the man's head above the water with a current of the Force that buoyed him up. She slowly pulled her arms towards herself, stepping back on one foot as the buoying current of energy began to pull him towards the dock, his floundering lessening as he felt the energy fields weightlessness carry him across the water. Releasing her hold on him as a Wookiee grabbed hold of him and dragged him onto the dock, Ariadne rushed over to help.
"T-t-t-thank y-y-y-you." The man stuttered through a harsh shiver that had gripped him. "You will be alright now." She said to him reassuringly as she put a hand on his shoulder. The man's teeth chattered as he looked at her arm and he moved to grab her arm with a stronger grip than she expected as she stood up to run off and help the next person who might need help. He held her there for a moment, his eyes glued to her bare hand before releasing her suddenly, looking up at her slightly shocked as his teeth chattered away. The man seemed nearly delirious with fever.
Turning away from him and breaking into a run towards the leading edge of the dock where a pair of watercraft idled, Ariadne looked back over her shoulder only at the enraged roar of the wookiee. She was shocked to see the man's mouth firmly latched onto the wookiee's arm before he was flung away by the wookiee who roared and then shooed the terrified looking man away with a great wave of his shaggy arms. The man ran towards the elevator where some wookiee warriors had cordoned off a que to let people through to the rapidly sprouting refugee centers above. Shaking her head, Ariadne continued on her way to help the rescue efforts in whatever way a Jedi Knight could.
