If you’ve been with us for at least four months, you probably know that the staff likes to receive quarterly feedback (every three months) on our job performance by having you all review it every few months. If you registered with us after the last round of feedback in November, this is your first chance to participate!

We’re looking for feedback on:

- Level of activity
- Leadership style
- Effectiveness
- Member relations
- Overall performance
- Etc. (anything you want to comment on)

Basically, we want feedback on anything we do as staff and what you think of the jobs we’re doing.

Each admin, and the staff as a whole, gets a thread dedicated to them. We want your feedback to be as honest as possible, but please remember to remain civil and respectful and please respect the views and opinions of others.

It’s not required, but admins can respond to any criticism they receive. Like we ask of you, though, admins are to stay civil and respectful. We promise this for two reasons: 1) this review is for your benefit too; 2) it’s also for our benefit, so we know if there are things we can do better at - and arguing with you to death doesn’t accomplish that.

And PLEASE be honest! You’d never be banned for sharing your opinion. If there’s something you think we can improve upon, we want to hear it. The admins are here to provide a fun role-playing and community experience for you, so we want to make sure we’re doing just that.

So in this thread, please discuss the staff as a whole.

Frankly there needs to be some changes. Some admins are never active, others are impossible to get in touch with, and others still simply don't reply to PMs or refuse to do their job, handballing me to another staff. Its a big problem.

(on my phone and just woke up so you only get half a cent instead of two. >.>)

Meh.

You guys don't seem to need much to do around here, to be fair.

For the most part, I'm still very pleased with the staff here, but I'm sometimes frustrated by what I believe are double-standards and hypocritical behaviour. Some staff members bend the rules for people they like, or make them more strict for people they don't like. Other staff members like to spam or throw stupid insults around, the sort of stuff that would get regular members in trouble.

Pretty much the same thoughts for me.

Woah, slow down there.

Let's not forget that people on the internet are actual human beings, and as human beings sometimes it's difficult not to be hypocritical - in any situation, regardless of admin status. Sometimes, when you're just "in the moment" and in the midst of conversation, you just go with the flow - just as some members do.

I often see in these feedback threads that staff members can be somewhat hypocritical in terms of these things. We always try to work on it, but we're not perfect. If you see a staff member being hypocritical, or insulting someone, or playing favorites, send me a PM. If I'm the one doing that, send another admin a PM.

Improving upon something like this involves communication from you guys too. :)

when it's bac your upset at, just mail him a dead moose....he tends to get the message.

Though honestly, Every staff member is approachable, and if and when you feel they " did" cross a line, they wont blow up if you pm'd them and said something " genuine and polite, raging at them usually wont help the cause"

The problem is that if regular players do such actions to an extreme level, they're temporarily banned. For admins, it's just a pat on the back and told to sit in the corner for a couple minutes to reflect on your actions.

None of this however, applies to SIN, obviously because we've been bitching about him for months on MSN, PM's and on the forums.

I think staff should play a larger role in regulating RP disputes. I realize that things should be cleared up between RPers, but there comes a point when a decision needs to be made, yet no admin is around to provide judgement on the situation. If the staff took a more active role in "laying down the law" in OOC threads, and resolving disputes, I think many of the RPs would move along a lot faster.

People are RARELY banned on this site. You have to get 3 infractions (or do something incredibly stupid) before you're even given a 24 hour ban. Most of the time we give out warnings, and it's in the case of really excess stuff. Warnings and infractions themselves are not given out a lot.

I rarely hear about him, but I certainly can see all of this.

They're called RP admins. If you have a dispute you can PM one of them (or, better off PMing all of them) with the problem and the thread and they'll come in and settle the dispute.

We don't patrol threads for problems, though, if that's what you mean. It's on you to bring the issue to an admin's ear.

It would've smoothed over the whole Ando Prime battle alot. If I were an Admin, 's the kind of thing I'd jump on personally, but that's just me.

This is a great site and is full of Star Wars fans and it is a great way to practice writing and acting skills; which is great for career-seekers who are looking forward to become actors, writers, etc. However, I would like to see respect, courtesy, and tolerance improved.

The reason for my negative feedback is that I usually find myself not welcome or appreciated in this site or in role-plays, for that matter, because some of the (staff) members have been rude to me. It's because I tend to mess-up in role-plays and it's normally due to my imperfect grammar and because I'm fairly new to this role-playing system here. So, I now avoid role-plays often so I don't get anymore harsh criticism about how I RP or use my spelling and grammar imperfectly to their views. I accept only role-plays with people that are respectful and tolerant to mistakes.
