Trust was a dangerous word within the Inquisitorius, they had been taught from their very first day that they should trust no one, not even the masters above them. None were above repute, everyone should be questioned and everyone should be suspected at all times. It was a painful life to live, not allowing yourself to trust anyone, but it was one that suited Ryujin. A young life in the fighting pits of the Hutts where you could as likely be stabbed in the back as given a fresh loaf of bread by the man next to you. Had instilled mistrust deep within the young Inquisitor.
The one person they were told to trust was of course The Empress, for they survived to perfect her Empire, where the Sith and Imperial Armed Forces would bring in giantic stripes of land, legions of new subjects and copious amounts of coin for the coffers. It would be the Inquisitors who would make sure that none of that exploded into flames of revolt. But now it seemed that a second was pushed into the extreme prestige so as to not be questioned by the Inquisitorius, Darth Raze, the new Dark Lord of the Sith. Andruil’s right hand man and apparently enforcer.
Ryujin snarled a little when he heard the announcement, that is what he and his brethren were for, they were to instil the Empress’ rules within the Empire. They did not need another at the head to take this roll from them. But for now he would grit his teeth, he was there to do what the Empress commanded, if it was to allow this man to be free from their inquisitive eyes then so be it.
Raze was no mystical new blade for the Empress, he had been one of the most prominent Sith around for the past decade, baring perhaps the Empress herself. The file that had been composed on the Sith was thick if not overly impressive, it mainly just spoke of the exploits of the man. From what Ryujin could tell he was one hundred percent Sith, he disappeared from Sith Space from time to time but so did many Sith. Darth Caelestis had a tendency to do so as well, though where he would go would always be a mystery now he lay cold and buried on Moraband.
So at least at this moment he had no reason to distrust the man, even if he was allowed to do so by those above him. But even if he had no reason and was allowed no reason, curiosity scratched at the back of Ryujin’s mind, an incurable itch that would only be satisfied when he met the man. The meeting was done behind the back of Darth Anaris the new Warden on the Imperial Council, Ryujin had no dislike for the Sith, but as was his nature and their creed he was not to trust the man. So through the Inquisitor channels he had requested a meeting with Darth Raze.
It was a basic request on the surface, Darth Raze was new in this position and as one of the Senior Inquisitors present on Korriban at the time. He had reached out to give the man an update of their internal situation, since conveniently Darth Anaris was away in the East.
Ryujin in his guise as Inquisitor Susanoo stood at the unknown entrance to the Inquisitorus Headquarters on Korriban, deep within the main temple which served as the centre of the Sith Empire on the planet. To Darth Raze it would look like a normal corridor that led to the rear galley, service quarters and public toilets. A few lowly Sith moved throughout the corridor, none paying Ryujin little attention. He was dressed in the black’s of many other Sith Champions and Acolytes who prowled the Temple. His physical looks however were altered, his hair was a deep strawberry blonde, it was styled into a top knot. The bottom half of his face was covered with a fake prosthetic jaw, scars appeared either side adding to the effect, eyes the typical yellow of those fallen into the Darkness.
