B I O G R A P H Y

Raze was birthed within the mind of Emryc Thorne when Emryc was being conditioned by the Cadre Project as a child on an Imperial space station. Originally deemed Subject 3MR1K, the half Sephi was put through rigorous training and conditioning that forced him to withdraw into his mind and create an alter ego. This alter ego was a defense mechanism that then faced the trials and tribulations of the harsh training and torment, allowing Emryc to find sanctuary within the corners of his psyche. Over time, the entity known as Raze became its own presence and Emryc leaned heavily on it to keep his own head level and calm. Thanks to Raze weathering the brutality of the Sith, Emryc was able to create a tranquil space within his mind.

At some point, Raze began to develop its own tastes and feelings, becoming attached to Emryc's first apprentice when he was a teenager. Emryc, recognizing this budding attachment, locked the entity away and forbade it from carrying any human emotions. As time passed, the entity shed basic human emotions, each one torn from it by Emryc. The final blow landed when the entity tore out its last bits of attachment which had manifested for Emryc's apprentice Tiamat. With this last piece gone, the only thing left was a perfect monster. This monster rose through the ranks of the Sith, quickly picking up and wielding the Dark Side and mastering it. This entity became Emryc's strength, the sheer focus and lack of emotional weaknesses allowing it to become a force of nature.

Over the years, this monster clashed with Emryc as it sought to continue to drive what it was built for. However, Emryc had since developed other tastes and found his own love and life. Emryc soon locked Raze away in a prison within his mind, opting to live his own life and cast aside the defense mechanism that was no longer needed.

Many years later, a Force anomaly allowed Raze to break out of the mental prison and assume full control of Emryc's mind. Neither Emryc nor Raze were powerful enough to fully destroy the other within the confines of Emryc's mind because they were both halves of a whole. Taking the opportunity to liberate himself, the entity then commanded Tiamat to retrieve a body for him to manifest.

And so, after decades of being a chained beast for Emryc, Raze at last assumed his own corporeal form. He now walks the galaxy without anyone to put him away when he is no longer convenient.
