I had a couple of Dells before I got my Mac. Despite what other people say, I've really had nothing but good experiences with them- the computers do what they need to do, and their customer service is responsive.

its the price. dells - alienwares are sooooo mother****ing overpriced

I'm going into a Computer Information Systems major, and my parents saved up just so I could have a laptop as a graduation present without a price limit, so I went ahead and got an Alienware m17x :3 Cost about 2k, but omg I luv it sooooo <3

Asus Altec Lancing, its a beast. Depending on the screen it might be a bit expensive.

I have the G51J, so not firsthand, but if there anything alike i'd say its good.
