Tristan didn't let the praise get his head to big, simply smiling and acknowledging his honestly mediocre throw. "It was alright, for my first time" Strength was never his strongest attribute despite what his chosen lightsaber discipline may suggest. He looked out onto the water admiring the beauty of its waves and color. One does not necessarily think of beauty oceans when one imagines Kashyyyk. His thoughts were broken slightly when Quin showed him his datapad asked his question. Knocking himself back into a state of awareness he answered his new friend's question in the best way he could. "Maybe, Maybe not. I'm sure out of the bunch one is stronger than me. However I'm sure it will be entertaining"

He had just remember he had left his datapad in the pockets of his robes as his tunic presented no such compartments. That is why he wasn't made aware in a similar way to Quin. But without to much of a fuss he put a hand on Quin's shoulder and spoke with a smile trying to relocate the amicable nature of the boy himself " What, if i may ask is your story? You don't strike me as having stricken the fancy of the force and just being dropped off on the stairs of the Jedi Temple" finishing his inquiry with a small chuckle.

Quin was scrolling through the messages in his datapad, trying to find if there was an exact time when the others would arrive when he suddenly felt Tristan’s hand on his shoulder. His question was a little surprising— no one ever really asked about where he was from, or his time before joining the Jedi. Quin himself didn’t think about it often unless he was on Naboo.

“Actually, that’s exactly what happened!” the Padawan answered cheerily. “Except I wasn’t dropped off— I flew to Yavin myself.” He still remembered that day. He’d been terrified of leaving home alone for the first time, but he was even more terrified at the prospect of spending the rest of his life arguing over things he saw as pointless in government. “My parents wanted me to be a senator. Live up to my family name. Love ‘em, but it just… wasn’t for me.” He shrugged.

“So I left and went to Yavin. And then I made my lightsaber and met my master and did all sorts of stuff and now I’m here! Wouldn’t trade it for anything.” He smiled at Tristan. “How about you? What made you want to be a Jedi?”

"hmmm, good choice. would of been a waste of talent to go into politics" Tristan attempt at flattery was rooted in contextual evidence of the Jedi's strength and his own personal bias. Tristan could not stand politicians. In his opinion they caused more issues than they cured. Aristocratic and arrogant more often than not. Crossing his arms he began his story in a nostalgic but melodic tone, as if these events were years ago yet had literally just occurred within the last hour.

"My path to the order was one of happenstance. Master Kemny found me and took me as her Padawan. My family figured id have a better life as a Jedi than as a farmer so that was that. Like you i accomplished those early Jedi milestones, constructing my lightsaber, going though my master's ad hoc trials to judge my talents and the like. Nothing special." he didn't mean to speak as if he wasn't a freshly knighted Padawan himself but that threshold was none the less under his belt. His hope was acourse to rise even further in the order, take on a apprentice of his own and try and instill the teachings he had been so indebted to master Kemny for instilling in him. In other words, open doors that were opened for him.

'What happened to your master, if you don't mind the question?"

Zak’s awkward smirk turned into a boisterous bout of laughter at the woman’s rather dry observation. Once the boxes he carried had been set down and ready for the refugees to distribute, Zak would take the woman’s hand in a firm shake. @ModernMarvel

It’s very nice to meet you Bri!” Zak replied warmly as he gave her hand two vigorous pumps.

Once he released her hand, Zak would take a minute to admire the handy work of the Jedi and volunteers. Everything had been unloaded from transports, these people would find some measure of peace while they rebuilt from the war that had ravaged their homes. It wasn’t much, but it was at least a start, a new beginning for many of them.

A small contented smile remained steady on Zak’s face, he released a small nasally sigh. For a moment Zak was able to bask in the hope that he and the other Jedi had helped foster here. Through the Living Force it felt like naturally warmed waters that gently caressed his soul. It was a pleasant and soothing feeling, it reassured Zak that he had followed it’s will and that is all that mattered.

This momentary meditative trance was broken by Bri as she asked him if it was time for the beach. Zak’s head turned towards her, his eyes lit up with excitement once more and that small smile turned upwards into a grin. He had almost forgotten about the beach!

Does a Shriekhawk fly?!” He teased.

Without warning Zak simply tossed himself over the nearest railing. There was a small cacophony of gasps from the refugees that witnessed him do this. However, Zak knew he’d be fine. He allowed his mind to slip into the depths of the Force as his limbs spread outward. Through the Force, his fall was slowed as he grew closer to the ground and shortly before Zak touched down he quickly flipped. This allowed his feet to touch down on the Kashyyyk ground rather than his face. The Togruta Jedi would turn his gaze back up to the people far above who peered over the railing and simply waved at them all.

I’m okay!” He called up. “Oh! Uh kids, don’t try that for yourselves!” He shouted up after a short pause.

After that Zak would begin to sprint off towards the beach! Pulling free the top layer of his wanderer’s robe and tossing it aside on the sand as he raced towards the water. On his journey, Zak hopped and struggled to get his boots off of his feet, he wanted to feel the warm sands between his toes. A wish that was granted shortly before he dove, montrals first into the warm waves of the Kashyykian bay.

For any other Jedi, it would be easy for them to find Zak. The trail of clothing (outside of his tan pants), the sound of gleeful laughter, and splashing of water would lead his contemporaries right to him.

The fun day has finally begun!

“It’s very nice to meet you Bri!”

"Nice to meet you too," Bri flashed a genuine smile, amused that her joke - which wasn't that funny - elicited such a boisterous laugh from Zak. Many Jedi were very reserved. More of the feeling type rather than the overly expressive. However, in the brief interaction between the two, Bri got the sense that the Togrutan had a real joie de vivre about him. The enthusiastic handshake reinforced the thought. The mere mention of the beach brought another burst of personality.

“Does a Shriekhawk fly?!” Zak replied with an upwards grin.

"Uh, yeah, I guess it does," Bri conceded with a chuckle.

Without any sort of warning, Zak then grabbed the wooden railing and launched himself over.

"Wait!" Bri called, surprised by the unexpected action. She reached her hands out and peered over the edge. The drop was at least forty feet down to the forest floor. As he approached the ground, Zak flipped to land on his feet. It was an impressive move from a considerable height. True to form, the Togrutan jumped right up and saluted the newly formed crowd of onlookers.

“I’m okay!” He called up. “Oh! Uh kids, don’t try that for yourselves!”

Bri scoffed and looked back over at the group and reinforced the message. "Yeah, don't do that,"

//

Unlike Zak who somehow managed to change for the beach while simultaneously running towards it, Bri had to go back her ship to grab her things. She changed into a simple black two-piece swimsuit, and draped a light blue sarong around her waist. The beach was no fun without activities or things to eat, so Bri also packed a bag to bring along.

Zak, of course, was already there, but Bri also spotted two other Jedi skipping shells across the water. "Hey guys!" she greeted the group with a friendly wave.

"Ahh, I just meant I think it's cool you're going for battlemaster, not that I think you are one." The blue-horned Padawan let out a soft nervous chuckle at the Kaleesh while she rubbed the back of her head.

"But yeah! I'd love some more guidance on the forms!" The girl's expression shifted to become slightly peppier. "My master helped me put this one together..." She gently patted the left side of her skirt where her training saber rested between it and her one-piece swimsuit.

"...but he hasn't been around for awhile, and with the way things are I should probably get ready to build a real one and be on the front lines any day now... Sooo some more lightsaber crafting instruction would probably be helpful--" Just as Luci's tone was beginning to fade and her facade started to get a little gloomy there was a sudden commotion from one of the nearby trees that caught the half-Annfyn's attention.

"Oh!" A slight hint of concern was in her voice as she covered her gasp with her fingers and watched the Togruta fall from the walkway above. Thankfully he stuck the landing, to which her expression returned to a calm optimism. She would've hated to have seen what would've happened to him had he crashed instead though. "Nice landing!" She would holler over @Zakrym La as he ran by not too far from her and Eckaaso.

"Well, I guess that's our sign." She turned back to the Kaleesh Knight with a smile and casually held her hands together behind her hips. "Better get going before we miss all the fun." She'd hold a moment for the Knight as she didn't want to interrupt their conversation in case he wished to continue while they ran or walked to the beach. Whichever Eckaaso preferred.

Quin grinned at the knight’s compliment, but he didn’t say anything more as he listened to the man’s story. It sounded like he’d had a fairly standard training, but what was standard for a Jedi was probably unimaginable for most folk anyway, and the Padawan was sure that Tristan had gone through his own share of ups and downs. Every Jedi did.

“My master? I’m… not sure. I haven’t seen her in person for a while. But I’ve been training on my own, and she writes me letters from time to time.” What was she up to? Quin was about to offer Tristan another shell when he saw someone splash straight into the water. His eyes widened as he looked up and saw people staring from the railing above. “They’re here!” The jumper soon called out that he was okay, and that the kids shouldn’t try it out. The first part he was glad to hear, though he was tempted to not listen to the second.

“It was a cool entrance though!” he called to the Togruta. Grinning, he turned to Tristan. “We should try that out sometime. It would be fun!” He put a finger to his chin. “But maybe in deeper water.” The man had stuck the landing, but Quin wasn’t sure if he had the skill to do the same.

Soon, he saw a blonde woman approaching, and he waved back when she greeted them.

“Hey! What’s up?”
