After Takumi signed-up for the Tython Monastery, which he was instructed to do, he proceeded to a transport ship that was at the landing pad on Dantooine. After Takumi boarded the transport ship and sat down at a comfortable seat with his pack next to him, the ship took off and then it went into hyperspace for the planet of Tython where the Tython Monastery will be; that's where Takumi will be doing his jedi training at. As the ship comes out of hyperspace and approached the planet of Tython, he stood up from his seat and walked to the doors as the transport ship started to descend onto the platform. After the ship touched down onto the platform, the doors opened up and then Takumi stepped out of the ship, as he carried a pack that he wore on his back. As he walked onto the landing platform, he looked ahead and saw the Monastery from a distance. As he started to walk up the beautiful pathway that lead to the Monastery, he stopped for a minute to help an old woman that was unable to make it to the transport ship, since she was crippled.

He aided the poor old woman to the landing pad and helped her go inside the transport ship that was still there; the ship wasn't ready to leave yet, because it needed to be refueled. So, Takumi helped the old woman find a seat that's nearest to the doors so she can get off the ship easily. After the woman sat down at her seat, the old woman kindly thanked him. "Thank you for your kind aid, young man," said the old woman. "Here take this as a reward for helping me, kind boy." She handed Takumi 100 credits.

Takumi was surprised for a second and then shook his head; meaning he was refusing to take the credits, because it didn't feel right in his heart to take something from people; especially from those that are elderly. "That is very kind of you, Ma'am. However, I don't really need a reward. I want you hold on to it," said Takumi with a smile. "You will have more use for it than I will and it isn't mine to take. It's not right for me to take things that don't belong to me. However, I am grateful to have assisted you, Ma'am. I hope you make it to your destination, wherever that is."

The old woman smiled back, knowing that Takumi had a kind and generous heart. So, the old woman puts the credits back into her pocket. Takumi stepped off of the ship, since he noticed that the ship was done refueling. "Good luck on your journey, kind sir," said the old woman as Takumi exited the ship, turned around and then waved goodbye to her.

After the ship took off, Takumi turned around again and then he proceeded back up to the Monastery. After Takumi came up to the Monastery, he looked around and sees the beautiful building with flowers and plants growing around it. Takumi looked and saw nobody around and that the doors to the Monastery were closed. So, Takumi sat down at one of the nearby benches next to the Monastery and waited patiently for somebody to let him in.

Aden Vaal walked through the vast hallways of the Monastery, his pace fast but not rushed. He was irritated, a state of mind that was something of a rarity for the blind Jedi. Someone in the temple staff had messed up some files and given him the wrong date and time for the arrival of his padawan, only the arrival of a transport vessel and the captain's announcement that he was here to drop off the aforementioned padawan had brought light to the blunder. So now Aden was making his way to the landing pad to meet his young padawan.

Reaching the main doors, still closed due to the early hours, he pushed them open and stepped out into the bright morning. Turning quickly to make for the platform he almost missed the small young boy sitting all by himself on a bench by the door. Slowing down he turned around and made his way up to the child and asked, "Takumi, Takumi Kaito?"

Takumi turned his head to the left and saw the man come out of the Monastery. Takumi looked up and saw him when he heard the man's question. Takumi stood up from his seat and walked towards him with a positive attitude and gave a little smile.

"Yes, Sir," said Takumi. "Takumi is my name. May I ask who you are, Sir?"

"Ah, good. I found you. My name is Aden Vaal, you have been assigned to me as my padawan. I will be guiding you through your training." Turning towards the gates he had stepped out through he motioned for Takumi to follow, "Come, we will find you a room and get you settled in. While we walk why don't you tell me little about yourself."

"Okay," said Takumi, as he walked beside Aden. "First of all, my name is: Takumi, as I have said earlier. I am currently the age of 10. I was born and raised on the planet of Dantooine, where I have lived with my family at the homestead. It was an interesting place to live, because I loved to farm with my family and there was also a cave closeby; which was not too far from my home. I lived close to my best friend, Kael Mitsu. Me and him like to wander in the cave sometimes. However, since I think there was kinrath it, we had to get out of the cave as soon as possible. Speaking of kinrath, the planet is swarmed with those creatures; plus there are other predators that roam the fields as well. Anyway, during my years at home, I have gone through some combat training, and my father's taught me some techniques with my father's vibroblade that I have with me; and I'm sorry if I brought it in here with me. I had a good reason to do some combat training, because there are predators around the world and they have a habit of raiding farms and homesteads, as I have mentioned earlier. My home has been attacked a few times and I've got the marks to prove it. I also have some medical skills, repair skills, computer usage and security knowledge; in which case, I tend to be vigilant at times when it tends to get rough."

Takumi continued to walk along side Aden, as Takumi looked around inside the building, and then he faced forward again and continued on what he was talking about. "More about me...I am known to be friendly, generous, trustworthy, and honorable to others in the neighborhood. I am known to be courageous and disciplined. I've learned about the jedi when me and Kael overheard my father and neighbors talking about them, the Republic and the Hutts; most likely concerning about the war that's been going on overhead. That was the reason I have decided to join the jedi, because I thought it would help support the Republic, the Order and other people in the galaxy; since I feel that they maybe suffering and/or fed up with the war. It's not that I'm going to head straight into battle, since it would be foolish otherwise. However, I will support the Republic and the jedi to the best of my ability."

Aden walked in silence, calmly hearing Takumi talk. As the young Jedi finished his monologue Aden smiled at his enthusiasm and eagerness to serve the Republic. The pure enthusiasm seen in children was a very uplifting thing, something to appreciate in these times of war. "That is good to hear, but tell me, how much do you know about the Force and the Jedi Order?" Aden wanted to make sure he knew exactly how much knowledge Takumi had about being a Jedi before he began his training. After all the boy had just joined the Order and there was a big chance he might not have much knowledge of such things.

"Not too much, Master," Takumi replied. "Although I've overheard people speak about them, I've read about some things about the jedi when I was using my father's computer terminal; me and my father built a terminal so it would help support our gardening needs, our homestead and it also let's us go into other programs also. While using the terminal, I read through the database, since I liked using the terminal so much I couldn't stop using it. I kept going through the database, until I came to a news article about the Jedi Order and that's when I became curious about them and decided to apply to it. I've read that the Jedi are supposed to be guardians of piece and justice to the galaxy. Anyway, during my time on Dantooine, I believe I may have had a minor experience with the Force; if I can put it that way."

Takumi continued to walk along side Aden within the Monastery as he continues to explain. "About 5 years ago," he said. "I've been having weird dreams, or visions; if you could call it that. The first vision I've had, was about a heard of kath hounds attacking the homestead; which they did and my father defeated them, and of course the neighbors helped too because they had kath hound problems too. Later on, the next vision I had was about a group of kinrath attacking and with a man lying on the ground; which was my father. Then, after a while, me and Kael learned that force-sensitive beings are capable of such things and we thought that's why things have been happening out of the ordinary between me and him. Believe it or not, he's also force-sensitive; he might not have the same sensitivity as me, but he told me he had something going, just like I had something going on too. None of our parents would believe us and just say that they were all bad dreams or just believe that they were a bunch of coincidence. Only me and Kael believed each other, since we're close together like brothers; since he's the only child in his family and same with me in my family."

Takumi paused for a moment as he looked at his master with curiosity and smiled at him. "If you don't mind my asking, Master," he said. "What was your first experience with the Force?"

"Well, my first brush wit the Force was when I was but a toddler, or so my uncle used to say. My father and uncle were both Jedi, so I practically grew up in the Temple on Ossus. As a toddler I brushed the Force unconsciously but my first conscious use of the Force was when I pulled my uncle's lightsaber from his belt and almost cut off my right ear." For a second Aden was lost in those memories, drowned in the nostalgia of them. Smiling Aden pointed to a side corridor and they entered a meditation garden, filled with dense foliage, it had a a young tree growing at its center with a sandpit filled with smooth multicolored stones surrounding it. A stone path cut through the jungle-like chamber and led to a pair of dirt lined benches located next to the tree.

Walking in Aden led the way to the benches and pointed for Takumi to take a seat before doing the same himself. "Your room allotment will take some time as there was some mix-up in the offices regarding when you would arrive here. I will be pinged when that is taken care of, so we might as well spend that time here and talk a little about the Force. The Force is an energy field created by all living things, yet life cannot exist without it, you might even say they are dependent upon each other. It surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together. The Force is a central part of being a Jedi, it guides us, gives us much of our powers. Tell me, have you ever consciously touched the Force or used it in any way?"

Takumi listened to his master, Aden, explain the basic information of what the Force is and what it does. As he sat down with Aden, after hearing the question, he looks down towards the ground as he tries to remember if he had been aware of his ability to use the Force in any way shape-or-form. Then he looked back at his master.

"I am not entirely certain if I was even aware of myself using the Force," he began. "Since, like I've said before when I've had these visions. I probably might have been aware of the Force after overhearing people's conversations at home. I believe at the age of 5 is when the force-sensitivity started to kick in before the attack of the predators occurred at my homestead. It is possible that the Force was giving me a warning sign. However, when I tried to tell my parents about it, they only believed it was just a mere coincidence. Me and my friend on the other hand shared a similar experience, except that he didn't have any visions occur to him like I did. So I would have to say yes and no to the question."

Takumi stood up to stretch a bit. Then Takumi looked at his master again and then he starts telling Aden of the visions he had. "Off the top of my head, the first vision I remember was about a heard of kath hounds attacking my homestead. Both me and my friend, Kael Mitsu, had kath hounds attacking our homes the morning after I woke up," Takumi went on. "Then later on, I had another vision; only this time, it was a group of kinrath spiders attacking with a man lying in the field; which was my father. Gladly he recovered from the injury and the poison that infected him. My mother used to be a medical nurse or a doctor, if you will. So, quite frankly that's about as much as I can remember with my communication with the Force; if that's also how the Force operates too by speaking us in whatever method it uses, unless you've mentioned that already." After explaining his further experience with Aden, he sat back down on the bench after stretching his legs.

"Hmm, then I think it is time you learnt to touch the Force on your own." Getting up he walked to a small smooth patch on the ground and sat down on a patch of grass. Cross-legged, with his back erect, arms on his lap he spoke, "Try this exercise, sit as I have, close your eyes, and slow your breathing, feel every breathe, feel its rhythm. This is a simple breathing exercise, it will help you remain calm, and to relax. Once you have quietened your mind you will find it easier to feel the Force, to be able to hear what it has to tell you."

He then reached out with the Force and telekinetically grabbing a smooth pebble from the sandpit and floated it over and placed it on the ground in front of him. "Once you feel the Force within you, focus on this pebble and try to move it back to the sandpit using the Force. Try to envision it move and if you reach out properly through the Force, it will move."

"Yes, Master," Takumi acknowledged his master's instructions as he stood up of from the bench, walks over to where his master and the pebble is. After he stood beside Aden, Takumi sat down with his back against the tree, turning his head in the same direction his master is facing and closes his eyes, spreads his arms out with his hands held cupped, folds his legs and calmly breathes to focus on nothing except for the pebble without saying anything or make a sound.

Takumi then begins to use the experience he had from on Dantooine and a vision of the pebble begins to fade into his mind. As the pebble became more clearer in his vision, he imagines the pebble in the vision moving, as the pebble that's currently on the grass began to shake a bit. Takumi uses the image in his vision to lift the pebble up off the ground as it appeared in his vision. The pebble in the vision began to move in the direction of Takumi's face so he can practice moving it around a bit and to get used to it.

As the image of the sandpit appears in Takumi's vision, Takumi uses his vision to move the pebble forward towards the sandpit slowly. After the pebble hovers over the patch of sand, Takumi slowly lowers the the pebble onto the sand as it slowly touches down. After the pebble is in the sandpit, Takumi's vision slowly fades out and then he opens his eyes and then sees the pebble in the sandpit. After the pebble was placed in the sandpit by Takumi's vision, he turns his head to the right and looks at his master, Aden to see what he says. Then Takumi faces the ground and about to say something.

"Just so you know," said Takumi as he is about to compliment him. "It's a real honor training with you and to be here. I enjoy the opportunity to learn and meet other people as well. I really thank you also." He then lets out a faint smile.

"Think nothing of it my young friend, passing on our knowledge to the next generation is one of the most vital roles a Jedi must play, it is a pleasure to be training you. Returning to the training, good job with the pebble. Now how about trying something more complicated?"

Reaching out he floated four rocks, all of different sizes, over and placed them on the ground. "I would like you to place the rocks one over the other, this task requires subtlety and finer control over the Force as the rocks must be perfectly balanced. This might take a few tries so be patient with your attempts, don't rush in, take your time."

"Yes, Master." said Takumi. He then turned his head and sees the four rocks, that his master used, and they appeared to be in different sizes for each of them. Before he begins using the Force again, he examines the rocks with his physical eyes for a moment. He then decided to add two things to his mind that can help build his wisdom: Studying the structures of objects and then Slow and Steady. After he examined the four rocks. He faced forward once more, as he calmly closes his eyes and relaxes his breathing again.

In his mind, he focus is only towards the rocks and begins to communicate with the Force as the vision of the rocks appear in his mind. Takumi then exercised his Telekinesis ability through his vision once more. In the vision, Takumi lifts the largest rock up first. After the rock was lifted up in the air to the level of his neck, he looks at the second smaller rock through his vision. The second rock slowly levitates up in the air also and goes up to the level of his lips and it starts to float over the first rock.

After the rocks were aligned vertically, Takumi looks at the next smaller rock. The third rock in his vision slowly levitates into the air and is moved up to the level of his forehead. After that, the rock slowly hovers over the second rock, aligning it with the other rocks vertically. The last rock that appeared in Takumi's vision was the last and smallest rock of the four in the group. With his mind kept cleaned of pride and eagerness, because of his increased experience, his focus stays strong on the smallest rock. He uses Telekinesis through his vision of the small rock and levitates the rock up slowly and slowly levels the rock above his head. After he halts the rocks levitation, he moves the fourth rock over the rest of the group.

After all the rocks were aligned over another vertically in the air. He uses his Telekinesis to twist them around all at the same time. The first and third rock turns clockwise, while the other two rocks turned counter-clockwise. The rocks rubbed against each other's top and bottom so Takumi can try to fit the rocks together; as if he's putting together a puzzle and stacking building blocks at the same time. After the rocks finished aligning with one another, Takumi used his Telekinesis to slowly move the rock column to the ground as it slowly touches the surface. After the rock column is placed on the ground, he used his levitation ability to twist the bottom of the column around as it rubbeb into the dirt so that the base of the column is carefully leveled with the ground's horizon.

Takumi's vision showed an image of the rock column that he constructed out of the four rocks. After finishing the column, the vision slowly faded as Takumi opened his eyes. Takumi turned his head and sees the rock column in front of him with all four rocks stacked together like a coned, cylindrical column. Takumi then slowly turned his head to the right and looked at his master and then waits for his master's evaluation and response.

"Good, you were patient and took your time doing the task. That is a good thing, patience is a great trait for a Jedi to possesses. Now that you have felt the Force on your own I should warn you of the dangers of being careless in the use of the Force. The Force grants us great power, and with that powers comes the responsibility to use that power wisely. Just being able to use the Force is not enough, knowing when and how to use is of greater importance. You could spend your entire life trying to master the Force, but using that gift wisely will make you a much greater Jedi. Being a Jedi is a way of life, its a journey down a path of personal discovery. But that does not mean one should only seek knowledge and wisdom to achieve such an state of self enlightenment, as Jedi it is also our duty to help preserve peace and protect life where we can. Before you can help others you must understand them, and before you can understand others you must understand yourself and the path you follow."

Floating a small, almost perfectly spherical pebble over to rest in his palm he continued, "Tell me, do you know of the Jedi Code?"

Takumi felt a little nervous because he's never heard of the Jedi Code before. He sat still and closed his eyes so that he can vision words of the Code and lets them appear in his mind. While in the process in learning the Code, images begin to appear in his mind; some of the images represent battle and chaos among them. He sees an image of what emotion, chaos, ignorance, and passion does to a Jedi and learned that those are a path to darkness and even death. Takumi opened his mouth while his eyes were still closed and began speaking the words of the Code of what he sought in his vision.

"Emotion, yet Peace
Ignorance, yet Knowledge
Passion, yet Serenity
Chaos, yet Harmony
Death, yet the Force"

The images begin to fade from his mind, Takumi slowly opened his eyes and looked upon his master's face and patiently awaits for the results.

"Good, you know the Code. But of greater importance will be your understanding of the Code. Depending on the way you interpret it the Jedi Code teaches a Jedi how to live in harmony with the Force. It can provide you with guidance in almost every turn you take, along whichever path you follow. The code is also a set of guidelines for a Jedi on how to live their life and help them avoid the pull of the Dark Side. Fear, anger, hate, aggression, they lead to the Dark Side of the Force. The code helps a Jedi follow a path where those emotions can be avoided."

At that very instance Aden's comm buzzed, informing him that his student's accomodations were ready. Pushed himself off the ground he stood up and dusting some dirt off from his robes he continued, "I think that is all for today. You have travelled far today and must need some rest. Come, your accommodations are ready, so take the rest of the day off. Actually take tomorrow of as well, get settled in and get to know the peole you will be living with, make friends. Read up on the Jedi code a little if you can and practice what you have learnt today. When we meet again we will discuss the Code in greater detail." As they stepped out from the chamber they found an older padawan waiting, as Aden had been informed. "She will lead you to your quarters. Take care and get used to life on Tython, I will see you soon."

After being taken to his quarters by a female padawan, Takumi goes in his quarters and sits in a comfortable chair. Considering on his master's advice, he takes a soft ball out of his backpack that he got from home on Dantooine. He sits in his comfy chair in front of the fireplace and practices his telekinesis with it. The small, soft ball hovers in the air in front of the air. Takumi kept his focus on the ball as he moved it side-to-side and then he slowly moved it forward and backwards. As the ball floated backwards, it accidentally hit his nose and his focus suddenly dropped and the ball fell on his lap.

"Ouch!" he said to himself as he rubbed his nose. "That was not smart. Glad I'm not sneezing for hours or people will think I have a fever."

Takumi then felt like taking a walk around the build and get a feel for the place. Takumi gets up from his chair, opens the door to his quarters, steps out, closes the door and begins exploring. He walked around the interior of the Tython Monastery and is impressed with the interior designs and the plants he sees. He sees younglings training with their training lightsabers against remote sensor droids. He sees other jedi inside the building training another group of padawans to use the Force.

After wandering in the building for a while, Takumi takes a step outside to the place where he and his master was doing Takumi's training with the rocks and sees the sandpit. Takumi wanders outside for a while and walks towards the back of the building. Over the fence of the Tython Monastery property, he sees that he is next to the mountains. He peers over between the mountains and looks down towards the ground. He feels the wind flowing through his nostrils and the brisk and refreshing air blowing in his face.

After returning to his quarters, after memorizing the building structure so he can get around easily, he decided to take a nap. While Takumi was sleeping, he begins dreaming. Takumi dreams about himself as a 16 year old Jedi battling against a dark jedi inside a cave. Takumi didn't know what the dream meant, but the battle between him and the dark jedi continued until he enters the crystal chamber inside the cave and visions himself picking up a piece of a crystal and puts it in his lightsaber. Takumi lets out a loud snore while sleeping.

The next day has passed and Takumi spends the entire off day in deep meditation and learns to increase his awareness and continues to practice his Force Vision and Telekinesis skills with his soft ball that he kept with his possessions. During the afternoon of his off day, he takes another walk around the Monastery grounds outside and keeps his mind clear as he exercises his legs and feet as he enjoys the nature around him and looks at the beautiful trees and grass. Takumi walked barefoot as well so that he can feel the softness of the grass and the moist air blowing at his feet and nose. He walked for hours with his eyes closed entirely. He felt nervous about tripping over something while his eyes were closed, but with his Force Vision ability, he is able to peer through his eyelids. Takumi then decided to become an ally and a friend to the Force and lets it guide him throughout his journey.

As evening passed, Takumi heads back into his room to make his dinner. Takumi's dinner was only fruits and vegetables. After Takumi was done eating, he had his evening tea and heads into bed. During his sleep, he encounters another dream. While wondering in the dream, he sees white fog surrounding him and sees nothing. He looks ahead and sees a man lying on the ground in the fog and Takumi runs up to him and realized that the man was his father. Takumi noticed a wound on his father's stomach and sees another man in the fog, but this time it was a dark figure holding a lightsaber that has a red blade coming out of it. The dark jedi raised up his lightsaber and swiftly slashed Takumi and Takumi woke up huffing and puffing rapidly. He looked at himself and saw that he was fine.

As soon as morning rose up after his off day, he felt that he was supposed to meet his master after his off day. So he gets up and dresses into robes and fixes his hair up. Takumi looked into the mirror and saw that he looked better in padawan robes than in farmer's clothing; although he started to miss wearing them and doing yard work with his father. But no matter, he will adapt to his new environment eventually. After getting dressed and taking care of his personal needs, he heads to the door and steps outside of his room.

After closing the door, he heads outside and sits besides the sandpit on the bench while he waits for his master. In the meantime, he slipped his boots off and feels the soft grass under his feet and breathes in the morning air. As he rubbed his feet on the grass, he gazed at the horizon and watches the sun rise into the sky and the sky turn blue. He becomes even more amazed at the wonders of the Force that created all of this.

The deep tones of a Bass vye floated out from a room deep within the monastery, a slow and gloomy tune being played out, beautiful while at the same time nostalgic. Aden Vaal, sitting in the room, was plucking away at the instrument when a group of cleaner droids burst in to intrude his so called jamming session. Aware of the scheduled time at which the room was to be cleaned, Aden realized that if he didn't hurry he was going to be late.

Exiting the room he began moving towards the outer courtyard, making a small stop to return the vye to his quarters. Stepping out he found Takumi calmly seated on a bench, lost in his thoughts. Walking over he stepped up in front of his padawan, sensing the feeling of awe and peace the young jedi was emitting into the Force. "Hello Takumi. How are you this fair morning?"

Takumi heard his master coming, then he turned around and saw him after hearing him speak. "I am doing well today, Master," said Takumi as he smiled. "I've had a nice off day too. Walked around the Monastery for a while so I could get to know the place a little better. I've had two strange dreams last two nights. Practiced using my vision and telekinesis abilities; I've got the mark to prove it." Takumi laughed a bit as he rubbed his nose after hitting himself with the ball on his nose. "How have you been Master?" he asked. "I've also heard you playing music back there." Takumi slipped his boots back on and felt that he was going to be doing something today, so he readies himself and keeps his mind currently awake and focused on what events may happen.
