Laughing a little sheepishly Aden sat down beside Takumi, "Ah, you heard that. Its an hobby of mine. So you seem to have put your time to good use. I think we can move your training in to full throttle now. What would you like to learn today?"

Takumi looked down for a moment while he was thinking. Takumi began to remember the last two visions that he saw during his off time. Takumi then decided that he should train in ways of combat if, in any case, the visions comes to pass or not. So, instead of keeping the visions just to himself, he thought it would be best to share these visions with his master and what would be the best course of action.

"Well firstly," sad Takumi. "Last two nights I have encountered visions or strange dreams I call it, and I presume that they maybe a glimpse of the future. In the first dream, I am wandering in some sort of cave. This cave had crystals inside at the end of it. As soon as I've reached the crystal chamber in the cave, I see a dark figure - a dark jedi I imagine - come towards me and attack me with his lightsaber and we engage in battle. The second dream was of me wandering within the unknown areas because there was fog around me. Along the way, I saw my father lying on the ground with a large wound on his chest where his heart and lungs would be. I looked up and saw a dark, hooded figure launch at me and slashed at me with his lightsaber, killing me."

Takumi felt a little stunned for a minute when he remembered his dreams and then looked back at his master and asks for combat training.

"I believe the best course of action is to train me for combat, mainly in defense just in case I run into danger along my journey," said Takumi. "I've also learned that there are three branches that the Jedi Order has: Guardian, Sentinel, and Consular. Can you explain these branches and what each of them do?"

Upon hearing of Takumi's visions Aden was a little concerned, "I would advice to not give too much thought to those dreams. They might or might not have been visions, but focusing on the future might ruin your present. When the time is ready you fill face what the future has in store for you and will face it like a Jedi." Pausing for a moment he turned his face to the other side, towards the sun, basking in its warmth.

"Train you I will, but whether or not that will make you ready to face your demons will depend on you." His voice now had a grave tone to it, much more serious than it had been.Turning once more to face his padawan, Aden smiled, his voice once more becoming warm and kind. "I see you have used your time well. Yes, there are indeed three broad paths a Jedi can follow, Guardian, Sentinel, and Consular. Guardians concentrate on martial training and combat, they put greater focus on combat than the other two classes, our greatest warriors. Consulars concentrate on mental refinement through study and meditation, perfecting the art of diplomacy and mediation, hoping to calm a tense situation or mend hurt feelings through civil discourse, reasoning, and parley, rather than drawing their lightsabers and cutting down an attacker. Sentinels seek a balance between the other two branches, the Consulars and the Guardians. While they possess adequate combat skills and have somewhat extensive knowledge of the Force, Sentinels blend both schools of teaching."

Takumi took Aden's advice when focusing on the future. So he developed a motto for himself to remind himself the definition of the future: The future is a blank page yet to be written and yet to be chosen. He took out his datapad and writes his motto there so he wouldn't forget it. However, due to the nature of the visions, he thought it would be a wise decision to be prepared and take it under consideration and advisement.

In the meantime, Takumi listened to Aden's explanation of the three branches and what the basic jobs were. Takumi prefers a balanced lifestyle and doesn't like to struggle on which side to choose; whether it's combat or non-combat aligned. So he looks up at his master and picked the path that he has chosen to follow. "With your permission master," said Takumi. "I choose to follow the path of the Jedi Sentinel. Since, due to my nature in life, I prefer to remain in a balanced lifestyle. Both combat and non-combat situations, I feel, maybe handy features in certain situations that I may encounter during my journey along the way."

Takumi stood at attention and awaits for his master's response, regarding his decision.

"Very well, the choice has been made. The path is now laid out in front of you, on the initial journey I will be your guide, to prepare you for the rest. If you want to be a Sentinel, skilled in both the Force and with the blade, must you be. We have already started your training in the Force, so I would like to take some time now to decide what sort of a combatant you will be. Have you any knowledge of lightsaber combat or any form of armed or unarmed combat?"

Takumi accepted his destiny and his duties as a Jedi Sentinel and feels ready for the challenges that lie ahead. He listened to his master's question if he had any knowledge and/or experience with any lightsaber or any form of combat. So he looked down and thought for a moment to see if he has knowledge of combat, other than the Force he has trained with. Then he looked up at his master to reveal the information of combat he's been trained with and things he has studied.

"Well," said Takumi. "I have been taught some skill with a blade since I was at home with my father. He has provided me with this vibroblade, attached to my belt, and I have been practicing combat to defend my homestead from predators; which is the reason I chose to train in combat. I have trained against kath hounds, kinrath, iriaz and other creatures that roam the surface of Dantooine. I have learned a few of the sword techniques during my training; the sword techniques I've learned from my father was the Shiim (Inflicting wound to immobilize the enemy), the Shun (spinning my body in a 360-degree turn with a single hand with speed), defensive maneuvers by using the Su technique (Twirling the blade acting like a shield to block certain attacks) and some parry attacks; like the Kai-kun. I have exercised these techniques while I was wielding my blade and with just my hands and feet only. I have practiced these techniques against a test dummy that I've made and against predators."

Takumi learned that the seven lightsaber forms differ from the techniques that he described previously since the techniques are fairly common and are performed at random sometimes. He then tells Aden what he's learned about the seven forms. Takumi was aware that he doesn't have a lightsaber yet and feels that the time will come when he will have to build one on his own in the future when the time is right for him.

"I have also learned that there are a total seven forms; to which we are limited to one or two I believe:

The first form is the Shii-Cho; the way of the Sarlacc: A Jedi using this forming will have more effect on multiple targets, but less on a single opponent. It is known to be the basic and simple form and it has certain advantages and disadvantages to it.

The second form is the Makashi; the way of the Ysalamiri: This form is best used against Force-using targets and to those wielding a lightsaber. A word of caution, this form maybe vulnerable against blasters.

The third form is the Soresu; the way of the Mynock: This is more a defensive technique. This form is best effective against (even multiple) targets wielding blasters.

The fourth form is the Ataru; the way of the Hawk-Bat: This form is more aggressive and focused on a single opponent, but vulnerable against multiple targets; which includes, but not limited to, blasters and predators.

The fifth form is the Shien / Djem So; the way of the Krayt Dragon: This is an advanced form of the Soresu. The Shien focuses heavy defense on multiple blaster-wielding opponents, while the Djem So focuses on lightsaber-wielding targets. The down side of this form is that it can be vulnerable against a single opponent. It's best recommended to practice with the Soresu for a while first before switching to this form.

The sixth form is the Niman; the way of the Rancor: This is a more balanced form, combining the elements from the previous five forms: Battling against single and multiple opponents with a variety of combat abilities and uses; which includes, but not limited to, those that use unarmed combat, lightsabers, blasters and the Force. It it recommended to train with different a form first to use this one; since this form may require great discipline, wisdom and experience to be able to master the sixth form.

The seventh form is the Juyo / Vaapad; The way of the Vornskr: This is the most aggressive and dangerous form of all seven. This form is to be vulnerable against Force-users and blasters, but provides great strength to the user of this form. There is a greater risk using this form, those using this form are in danger of falling to the dark side. I strongly recommend someone, like myself, to not use this form to be on the safe side, because once this form has been chosen and trained with, it will be hard to resist. So it's best that I should stick with the previous six forms that I have mentioned.

This is all of the knowledge of combat and lightsaber abilities I've been able to study during my stay here. Most of my combat abilities is melee based and balanced style. If I were to pick a form to train with, if the time comes to be able to wield a saber, then I would start out with the first form to begin with."

Takumi finished revealing his combat knowledge and experiences and sits down on the bench while looking at his master.

Aden heard everything the boy spoke, noticing the dedication and sincerity in his voice as he spoke. Once he finished speaking Aden waited for him to take his seat once more before replying, "Good, you did your homework. And you are right, we will start with Shii-Cho. It will give improve your knowledge of the basics of attacking, parrying, and body target zones. Every aspiring Jedi starts off with this form when learning the way of the blade. You may decide to continue with this form or switch to one you find more suiting as your training progresses. Come, we will begin."

Getting up he led the way to an isolated region in the outer courtyard and picking up a few pebbles from the ground asked Takumi to stand in front of him. "We will begin with parrying. I want you to close your eyes for this exercise. I will be shooting these pebbles at you from different angles. You will use my staff to try and wack them away as they approach you. Use the Force to sense the pebbles approach and deflect them away. I will start slowly and increase the intensity of the exercise as you progress. Lets start."

[OOC:You can RP out Takumi trying the exercise for some time till he gets the hang of it. We can pick up form then.]

"Yes, sir," Takumi acknowledged his master after being given an instruction.

He advances in front of his master, picks up the staff and observed it as if it were a martial arts stick. Takumi then takes out a thick blindfold from his pocket and wears it around his eyes. The blindfold has a long, rectangular, steel plate attached to it to help block his physical vision. "Is this blindfold acceptable, master?" he asked while summoning up the Force Vision to look through the blindfold and took a Jedi Ready stance. "The blindfold is a long, thick cloth with a steel plate attached to help block my physical sight. So I can use the eyes of the Force instead."

"It will do. Though I wouldn't have minded you simply closing your eyes either." Tossing his staff to Takumi he continued, "Here, once you are ready, let me know and we will begin."

Takumi caught the staff in his hand and was ready to defend himself against the pebbles. He sees two pebbles come shooting at him through his Force Vision. He dashed to the right to avoid the pebbles, and he simultaneously strikes them by performing a 360-degree spin. Takumi stood and remains alert for anymore pebbles as he keeps a disciplined mind.

"Good, nicely done. Now lets take it a level higher. The pebbles will come not just at once, but in groups. Try dodging the ones you cannot deflect." As the padawan once more dropped into the ready stance Aden raised another bunch of pebbles and floated them out so that they now moved around on the edges of a large sphere centered at Takumi's location. Then sometimes one by one, sometimes in pairs or even three or four at a time, Aden began shooting the pebbles at Takumi.

Takumi felt the wave of the pebbles coming towards him. Firstly, he engages into the Shii-Cho form and then initiates his targeting practice by using the Su technique by twirling the staff in front and around himself, acting like a shield against the pebbles as he blocks one group of pebbles and dodges the other groups by rolling against the ground simultaneously.

After getting back on his feet, he initiates Force Vision to see through the blindfold; the vision appeared in a blurry image in a gray-scale color. For the remaining groups, Takumi continues to dodge the pebbles by rolling and dashing simultaneously, then combines the Shen and Su. He twirl-shielded himself using just his right-hand as he swiftly does the 360-degree spin and carefully timed his strike on each pebble of their perspective groups. After halting his attack, Takumi kept silent and still as he pans around the field with his Force Vision power for anymore pebbles and feels like he eliminated all of the grouped pebbles.

As Takumi successfully dodged or diverted the pebbles Aden slowly increased the speed and number of the pebbles, pushing the padawan to his limits. Finally, satisfied that Takumi had had enough, Aden stopped the barrage of pebbles.

"Well done, well done indeed. Come, you must be tired, take a seat." As the two of them returned to the bench, "You picked up really fast. We will practice regularly on that and other techniques to improve your skills with the blade. For now we will do some Force training. Why don't you tell me a Force skill that you know of or want to learn and we will try to explore that technique together."

Takumi sat down with his master, Aden, and removes the blindfold. He then puts the blindfold in his pocket and thinks.

"Well," said Takumi. "The ability that I'm mostly familiar with is my Force Vision power. Since I was able to see through the medal plate with my blindfold on. When I saw you through my Force Vision, it was as if I could see your force alignment and your aura. The rest of the image was kind of, blurry with colors black, white and gray. The pebbles I was able to make out in the image. The Force Vision was able to hold for about 10 seconds until the image fades. So I would like to put Force Vision and Telekinesis to exercise. I also would like to exercise the ability to hear things more closely."

Takumi gives Aden back his staff and looks up at him.

Taking his staff back, gripping it firmly in front of him, Aden stood leaning on the wooden stick. Closing his eyes for minute he felt the gentle breeze blowing in the air, the sounds of birds chirping on a distant tree, taking pleasure in the peaceful environment. "Very well, lets give Force enhanced hearing a try." Rising up to stand straight, he pointed towards the not so distant tree where he had heard the birds chirping. "On that tree is a nest full of young birds and their mother. You can just hear their chirping from here, but it is too unclear. I want you to close your eyes and focus only on the sound of those birds chirping, dip into the Force and concentrate only on them. Focus till their voices start becoming clearer to you, till you can hear them so clearly that you can count the number of birds that are chirping."

Aden watched expectantly as Takumi set about doing the task he had set him. He hoped challenges would make Takumi push himself, help him fulfill his potential.

Takumi heard his master's instructions and stood up from his seat. Takumi bowed to his master in acknowledgment without speaking a word, then looks up at the nest and sees the birds in it. He stood firm and calmly to let his body and mind become dormant for a bit, except for his ears. After his eyes were closed for about 20 minutes, he heard the chicks chirping in the nest and hears the mother bird, as the bird fed the chicks some bugs and worms. Takumi used the wind and breeze to enhance the sound of the bird.

Takumi then opened his eyes again and the sound of the birds and the voice of the wind fades slowly away.

"I must admit," he said as he commented of what he heard through the Force while staring at the nest. "The Force itself has a unique voice. It carries the sound of the birds and other life-forms, inhabiting this planet, through the voice of the wind, regardless of the direction the breeze is flowing. The wind can also carry various sounds, regardless of the source it comes from. It is also logical that the vibration of sound can still be heard if the wind is still."

Hearing Takumi's reply Aden got the feeling that he might have actually got a knack of the technique. After all everyone had a different approach to perform a particular task ,it was no different with Force powers. Takumi's approach was but one of many. "Good, you seem to have made some headway my young padawan. Remember, even if you do not understand the true workings of a situation, let the Force guide you, feel your way through the meandering path in front of you. So tell me, how many chicks did you count?"

Takumi heard Aden's question and then he looked at the nest as he tried to remember how many of the chicks he heard from the nest.

"Well," he replied. "So far, I have managed to count about three or four of the baby birds in the nest; of course the mother bird was present too, probably feeding her young."
