View attachment 417

- Taoré's first lightsaber

Though he DOES own a lightsaber handed down from generation to generation from his family, and modified throughout his training, he left the order when he was 13 and was only trained in the basic Shii-Cho style, and Ataru, which he picked up through a combination of self-practice and his former master. Over his time in exile, his fighting style became increasingly aggressive and far more heavy handed than the standard Ataru form due to his lack of continued training, only breaking out his lightsaber as needed.

Preferred Form: Ataru
Secondary Forms: None

Study in (ie. knows a few moves): Shii-Cho
Vaapad

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Strengths: Natural fighter
Near-Unbreakable Will
Capable of overcoming Fear
Charismatic Speaker
Quick Learner
Peak Physical condition
Capable Pilot
Capable droid programmer
Skilled Lockpicker

Weaknesses: Accelerated Metabolism
Strong Ego
Opinionated
Cocky
Stubborn
Procrastinator
Anti-Social
Arrogant
Reckless (Will put his own body on the line to succeed)

GEAR:

Lightsaber (Single bladed, Dark green) Military Rations, repair kit, first aid kit, breather (for when going underwater), Various lockpicking tools, Jedi Robes mixed with a more armor feel but still relatively lightweight to make use of his speed. Metallic Knuckles (for use in close quarter combat), and a standard Blastech pistol.

He also adorns various black flight suits as well as his Jedi Robes which save for the dark tan tunic, were black. Taoré cites this inspiration from a former Jedi Master from the Clone Wars, Quinlan Vos, as the choice for his wardrobe, much to the disdain of his teachers and Masters. Even in exile, he frequently wore his Jedi tunic as his own personal sign of honor, though he often covered it with various pieces of black durasteel armor plates ranging from pauldrons, vembraces, and chest pieces.

SHIP: A modified T65 X-Wing starfighter he "aquired" during a raid when he was 18.

DROIDS: R5-D9, the Astromech droid he "aquired" along with the ship and reprogrammed accordingly to be his companion.

PETS: None

PERSONALITY: The brighter side to his personality is that Taoré's often light hearted, fun loving, and a little goofy. Loves the women, and is one hell of a womanizer. He has an acid tongue and he has no problem calling people out on their faults. While not the smartest individual, he cannot stand incompetence, even from himself, often berating himself for his stupidity.

The darker side is his ambition. While wanting to help others, he does have a big ego. Since he never received any formal Jedi training in over 7 years, he has yet to silence that range of emotions which can lead to dangerous situations, but rarely succumbs to them. While he won't put the safety of others after nothing, he is a risk taker and can be reckless at times. He has a leadership potential, but his ego is always in his way. Over the course of 7 years, after dealing with all walks of life, from freedom fighters, to Imperials, to smugglers, to bounty hunters, to just plain and simple scum, Taoré also developed a very cynical sensibility on life, but more than enough connections to last a lifetime, especially when it came to his ship, given that it was a stolen craft and he needed the credentials so the miltary didn't come after him wanting their ship back that was lost in the scuffle. As much as he wants to believe in life and in the future, his experiences with people have left him slightly bitter.

BIOGRAPHY: The reincarnated spirit of a Legendary Jedi Knight throughout time, all Taoré was ever told growing up that his destiny, as it was many times before, was to become a great Jedi Knight, and thus was raised accordingly so he could become this great Jedi. The only heirloom given to him by his family was a lightsaber handed down from generation to generation that were all eventually held by each who held the name “Taoré Timarick”. While he was sent to be raised by the council, which became the life he knew, he eventually began to refuse this great destiny and yearned for a life beyond the Jedi code and teachings. He eventually left the order around the age of 13.

During his 7-year-oddessy, His incomplete knowledge of the Force did however prove more than enough for him to survive, as he joined various resistance movements across his journey throughout the galaxy, learning all he could about combat; but his anti-establishment nature often caused him to be alienated from his peers on a social level. This all came to a halt on his 20th birthday, when he was attacked by a Darksider who seemed to have known about his destiny. He narrowly escaped with a combination of timing and luck as opposed to actual combat training, and realized that perhaps he was in the wrong after all: If he was going to be hunted just like that, than it was time he learned to combat it on their level and returned to the Jedi Temple with the most humble of requests to complete his training into a full Jedi Knight.

Yeah, I know he's an exact duplicate of the previous timeline's character, but he was just too perfect when I created him. So to explain why he continues to exist is this: The Force can act in mysterious ways and for some reason his spirit just would never allow itself to rest, as if he must watch over the galaxy at all times. So once every 100 years or so, regardless of the event of his death, he is always born, same name, same look, same personality (pretty much), he goes on a journey with only one thing connecting him to his past life (usually his lightsaber), becomes a Jedi Knight, and fights the forces of darkness, dies and then is reborn. He has absolutely NO memory of his past lives, so everytime he sees a record or holocron of his past self, he never feels like it's him talking, despite the uncanny simmilarities. If that made any sense, great.

Ya it's Quinlan. His look and outfit just fit sooo perfectly with what I wanted for the look of the character I didn't want to change it.

Is... is this allowed? I'm sure there's a rule or something against duplicating characters across timelines.

No there's no rule saying you can't just duplicate the character provided his backstory keeps changing (and it does). The only simmilarities are really just superficial like look and personality and name. It's not like he has memories from 10000 years ago or something, he always appears as a blank slate. Besides, if you were reading, I wrote an explanation as to HOW he reappears. It's simply a matter of reincarnation. Besides this is Star Wars where ghosts come out of people's asses everytime a Jedi dies.

Thats hilarious because I never thought of Legend of Zelda when I made this character. In fact Im not really a big fan of it tbh. Im a big fan of the mythological hero, of wanting something beyond what you know, leaving to encounter supernatural forces, then returning with a greater understanding. His backstory in a way is a reflection of that, and its only the beginning. This is where hes a more interesting and rich character instead of a bright eyed optimist because hes seen things now so when you go on that journey with him to Jedi Knight, youre there with him and asking why he is doing what he does.

yeah you have to change the names and it can be an exact copy.

Well to Link and all that, I got that reference, but his concept is to be "the light for all in dark places, when all other lights go out."

That's his destiny, but his own characterization often butts heads with this. In some incarnations, he embraces this but his own personality gets in the way, and sometimes he just wants to be who he is with no responsibility of a destiny (much like this incarnation) and sometimes he is seeking himself. No matter what the motive, each of his reincarnated lives share one common place: He will become a Jedi Knight and in his own way serve the light in a way that were he not there there would be no hope for tomorrow.

Yet he's just the keystone to a larger adventure. His stories are always that one reference in a myth or a tale, but without it, there'd be no real tales to tell. I've always liked telling those stories about the niche characters that if given the right love can have adventures just as important as those like Luke Skywalker and so on and so forth.

Figured I'd update his biography here through his roleplays as well as give synopsis:

Dark Mysteries - Part One

After a few months of training on the Temple of Tython with various Knights at the behest of the Jedi Battlemaster, Taoré began his quest and the Force returned to him, his skills advancing far beyond a normal Jedi his age, soon rivaling many Padawans his age soon taking their Knighthood trials. During a chance encounter with fellow Padawan learner, Adonia Xylona, during a training session, Taoré was alerted to an emergency in the Temple hangars by his Astromech, only to discover a technician`s corpse and a presence of the Dark Side. He quickly discovered only he could sense the Dark Force, but Adonia was capable of revealing the source: A vortex in the Force that when Taoré touched, knocked him off his feet before bellowing an ominous warning.

This prompted the two Padawans to investigate discovering spectres of the past that eventually caught the ire of both Adonia`s Master, Matsu Ike, and the Jedi High Council. While Adonia and Matsu were forbidden to the meeting directly, she was respectful of the Jedi Battlemaster to leave the chamber.

The two Jedi remaining, both the Battlemaster and he, were indeed of kindred spirits, sitting in a Council room clad in battle armour each. Despite not being much of a historian, the Battlemaster did see validity in Taoré`s mission and permitted him to investigate further. After a brief relaxation, the three companions once more set off into space for Correlia.
