Tavell Hamber
Biography
Born on the planet Eriadu, Tavell was a bastard son of agri-workers and made to work in the fields until old enough and trusted enough to use the more expensive machinery, particularly the Crossbow flyer. The Crossbow, a lightweight combination of low density alloys and native timber was a relatively fast and nimble albeit primitive combustion engine powered aircraft used to dust crops and hunt large destructive species of bird that, if left unchecked, would destroy crops in a matter of days. It was sheer luck that an imperial dignitary was passing through in a speeder escort and saw the aerial prowess overhead of the young Hamber and located the boy. Tavell joined the Imperial Cadetship and upon reaching the required age, was fast tracked into the flight academy. Suddenly faced with technologies that not only catered to his skills but allowed them to flourish and exceed his limitations, Tavell was fast in becoming an exceptional pilot. His feelings of duty to the dignitary that, in his eyes, freed him made him an even more exceptional warrior. Driven, loyal, and relentless, Tavell was a fierce and unforgiving warrior who flew under the supervision of Irius.
When the Sith Empire fell, and Tavell’s fighter was shot down and his rank and priveleges expunged, Tavell returned to the only other place he knew and for ten years he flew the now ruinous Crossbow for a handful of credits, enough to buy beer and the company of women. His ego crushed, his pride fallen and his spirit in tatters he sought oblivion.
And then the Empire arose anew.
Now cynical, but tired of the mindless bloodshed he was sought out to join the new iteration of the Empire, under a new Emperor, under a new direction Tavell cleaned himself up and climbed into a TIE again.
