Syvris | Orbit
Syvris, a key planet in the Triellus Trade route, a long abandoned Hutt stronghold has been rebuilt and is home to a Weequay despot, his self proclaimed ownership over the moon is not recognized by the Syndicates, he'll have a small army, so go prepared and kill them all to establish the Syndicates as their new owners.(Self DM 2-4 participants)

Grace had arrived above the planet Syvris in force. She sat at the bridge of her Crusader-Class Corvette, and was accompanied by both a wing of StarViper-class Attack Platforms and a Gozanti-class bulk cruiser. The woman had brought in all the consortium assets for this one, as the pirate fleet was supposedly pretty large. Many mercenary pilots would scurry across the ship, all making sure the laser turrets were online and active. A younger pilot would approach Grace with a salute. "All systems are functioning properly. Our deflector shields are online, and all weapons are hot miss Zann. The Corvette is battle ready." The woman would sip a glass of wine before responding, "At ease cadet. Check the status of the Gozanti and our fighters..."

The man would give a slight bow before returning to a station across the ship. Over the comm system, a gruff voice would respond, "Starviper squadron reporting. All ships are ready for combat." another voice from the Gozanti would follow "Cruiser here. Shields are up, and our laser cannons are ready." It seemed their main ships were ready for battle. The Pykes would probably send reinforcements in due time, but for now it was just the Zann Consortium.

The cadet from before would inform Grace, "We're fifteen minutes from the palace of Olglon Hoko, the weequay warlord. I recommend an orbital attack before our land invasion." Grace would then finish her glass of wine, and knew the young man to be right. "Good analysis cadet. Lets get a move on then."

Mae had ditched her corvette for this mission to join Grace on her corvette instead. She brought her personal escort of 6 enforcers on a e Droch-class boarding ship that was now attached to the Crusader Class Corvette now captained by Grace Zann.

Mae was in her assigned room with her enforcers preparing for the fight to come. She had brought the boarding ship for two reasons. One would be in case their target was in space on a ship, she could board and take the fight to him, and secondly, if he was hiding on his moon in a palace, they could easily breech using the pod as well. Only draw back is the pod would only fit the 7 of them.

As her enforcers got battle ready, Mae made her way to the bridge just in time to see a cadet approach Grace and salute. As the cadet said stated his info and turned to leave, Mae approached her from behind. "My my, how the galaxy has changed. From nothing to the commander of her own fleet." Mae would say as she approached. "Honestly, after spending so much time with that big Wolf and the Pykes, it is good to see a fellow woman in charge for once." She stated in reference to all her missions with Rafe, their mutual friend. "You look so good at it, it makes me ponder switching teams." She joked at the double meaning of her words.

Mae then stood next to Grace and stared out the window at the moon in front of them. "Crazy to think we have to destroy another pirate organization. Would be great if they would have seen the inevitability of their downfall and joined the syndicates the proper way." She said, not really expecting a reply or not, just stating an open opinion.

"I appreciate the invite on this, by the way, it is always a pleasure working with you. As you were probably already informed, my boarding ship is docked on yours and we await your orders" May said.

Used to this by now, Tyr'din had begun to know the Corvette like the back of his hand, it was where he spent most if not ALL of his free time, a unbelieveable Workaholic most problems that the Corvette had he took very personal and fixed them as soon as he could, he was just transitioning from Engine Room back towards the Bridge when they were arriving around Syvris.

His boots resounded as he began walking down the long strip leading to Grace's Captains Chair where he came to a halt just on her right gazing ahead alongside her, his hands came to place infront of his chest before he then finally spoke.

"The Engine had a small hiccup during our Travel, we will need a touch up when we return."

Pulling forth his Smartpad he compiled data from the Weapons Systems of the Corvette, nodding to himself he was pleased that their Crew managed to power up the Ship without breaking things, but at the same time... that meant they hadn't broken things... yet.

"Weapons Systems nominal, on your mark your Assault can begin."

He advised, it was then that... Tyr'din noticed Mae alongside Grace, he looked first at Grace before his finger came up to point at Mae whilst speaking to Grace.

"Who... is the pretty face?"

He asked Grace directly, he was distrusting of newcomers at first but even if he was he had a... semblence of manners, the more he stuck around Grace the more protective he seemed to get of her but that was merely in the blood of his work and considering this was the first meeting he had with Mae... he had good right to ask.

Jules and a his team of Crimson Dawn Vanguards and Enforcers were on the moon this would not be a espionage mission this would be a kill and wipe up. More and more Crimson Dawn members had been gravitating toward him. It probably had been due to the lack of field leadership.

The current leader was more of a politician than a crime lord. Jules had been finding more and more work and Dawn members had been willingly filling the gaps he had. For this mission he had nearly 200 heavily armored Scoundrels and fifteen Dawn Vanguards all looking to him for orders.

Jules personally disdained wearing armor so was only wearing a light weight space suit. After the bombardment was completed his crew would lead the mop up.

Grace would simply smirk as she heard the familiar voice of @Mae Tecono. That ship she had brought along was an interesting design, and would probably prove to be very useful in battle. "Changed it has, and in such a short amount of time as well. Good to see you here old friend." The crime lord would only chuckle for a bit as the pirate mentioned a woman being in charge. There were a few powerful woman in the syndicates, but none were quite as active as Grace or Mae. "I guess we'll have to watch each other's backs then. It's a dangerous line of work." she would remark with a grin.

It would be then that Tyr'din chimed in, asking exactly who Mae was. "This is Mae Tecono. Captain of the Trinity pirates, and perhaps Admiral of the United Syndicate Fleet, if I can convince the others to allow it."

As the group spoke amongst each other, the small fleet of Consortium ships descended from space, and into the atmosphere of Syvris. The planet was swamp-like, so finding a giant palace some distance away was no issue. The marauders were not expecting an attack. That was made clear by an assortment of parked starfighters on a runway not too far from the palace itself. The cadet would speak up, "Miss Zann, we are within range of the palace... But they don't seem to notice us yet. Should we bombard them, or land and move on foot?"

It was a good question. Their attack would be quiet if the pirates didn't-- Suddenly alarms would be risen aboard the crusader corvette. one of the various pilots would announce, "We've been spotted, company at 12 o'clock!"

A large number of opposing Z-57 Headhunter starfighters would come in to view. Their element of surprise had been lost. "Fire all laser cannons on that swarm! Tell our Starvipers to launch their proton torpedos!"

Mae would smile and nod at Tyr'din as Grace introduced her. She hated being considered weak due to her size and a close second to that was being considered just another pretty face. She would let Tyr'din's comment slide for now as she did not know the man yet and he seemed to have some type of purpose among Graces crew, so it be a shame to make an example of such a person without Grace's approval. Mae then smiled at Grace's comment about admiral of the United Syndicate fleet. She was not sure if that was a serious gesture that she had proposed at the meeting for the 3 bigger syndicates, or a playful joke, but in either case, it brought a good laugh or warm enough friendly feeling to bring about the smile. No comment was made back about it, as Mae still did not know exactly what was going to come of it.

Mae looked at the screen over the shoulder of the cadet and was pleased to know that they had surprised the pirates enough that they had not yet gotten to their fighters at the base, but then all hell broke loose as alarms started to go off and they were alerted of incoming at 12 o'clock none the less. Mae acted quickly to make herself useful and went to the shield command station. She quickly hit some controls and manipulated the screen before announcing to Grace, "Doubled power to rear shields. I would advize taking out those unmanned fighters at the palace before we are attacked on two fronts"

"I like your getup by the way, now lets get to work."

He would point his finger at Mae briefly before clipping the Smartpad back to his belt, he cared naught about who he spoke to or who he was introduced to its all the same to him, people prove themselves by showing what they can and it would be soon enough Mae had the chance to prove it to him.

He gave Grace a simple indifferent shrug until people jumped to action, he too would be seen once more darting around the Bridge like a bee scooting from station to station however he spent most of his time directing the Weapons Systems and those that operate them.

"Alright, Mae is it? Patch into 2-24. Let the boys and girls know what you need."

He already dismissed all apprehension, it was time to work there was no place for being bitter or uncooperative, however soon his voice called out once more, not so much for Grace or Mae it was him directing a point of aim.

"Alright, forecannons adjust point of aim by 9 mils to your northern left, hold your Fire and wait for your Captains mark, all remaining Cannons double your efforts."

<"Will do, Albino.">

He had something in mind and it wasn't to bombard the surface but rather a more... precise cut through the opposing Fighters, he turned to Grace and held up one of his hand which was slowly counting down, first he held up five... then four fingers, counting down to three... two... one before then balling a silent fist, it was her order to give if she pleased.

It was right when he counted down to the last digit that Grace could see through the careful aim that Tyr'din crafted, he had analyzed the flight pattern of a second detachment of fighters and prepared a anticipated direction of flight... right into the range of their main cannons, all she had to do... was give the order, for some it begged a question but Grace knew Tyr'dins precision, it was one of the major factors why she kept him around afterall.

Jules and his heavily armored were waiting for the blast doors to open the interior door shields were not designed to keep objects from entering just to keep the atmospheres separate.

When the doors opened to let the fighters and support freighters out to join the battle above, Jules made his move. Even though his men were all using jet packs using his Force enhanced speed and due to the lack of gravity he still managed to enter the bay first.

The first fighter was already in the air making its way out of the hanger Jules tossed a thermal detonator which stuck to the fuselage just ahead of the engines. The ship had gone no more than 10 meters when it exploded.

Jules team opened fire cutting down everything that moved droid and being alike. Only two fighters made it out the door the rest their crews and pilots killed before they could even take off.
Leaving a half dozen Enforcers to secure the bay . The rest of his team began clearing the palace room by room.

Grace would nod at Mae as she suggested they knock out the unmanned fighters before things got too serious. The crime lord would call out over comms, "Gozanti cruiser. Focus your fire on the parked fighters below. The rest of our ships are to maintain previous orders."

She would be met by a quick, "Rodger that." from the cruiser, as it's turbolasers began to rain down toward the unpiloted vessels near the palace itself. Meanwhile, the Starvipers had unleashed a volley of proton torpedos toward the horde of incoming starfighters. Many of them would be shot down by the attack, but the majority were still up and running. The headhunters would fire light lasers toward the engines of the ship, but thanks to the diversion of rear shields, it would produce no damage. "Again. Good call Mae."

While the other ships were busy intercepting the incoming fighters and parked ships, the corvette itself would be preparing for a devastating volley. All of it's light laser cannons would rise in preparation to fire, and she would gleefully respond to Tyr'din's countdown "Fire!". All things considered, they were ahead when it came to air superiority.

Mae patched into the 2-24 as she heard Tyr'Din call it out. She knew was impressed as he commanded the rear light lasers simultaneously disabling and destroying many of the incoming fighters with a precise volley of laser fire. "All forward facing laser cannons that are not currently being controlled by Commander Selm, be ready for enemy fighter flyby. They will be danger close, so fire as soon as you see them, don't try to aim at them, or you will miss." She ordered over the 2-24 communications. She then swiveled around back to the shield controls. She saw that the enemy fighters were coming at an attack angle that would bring them over the top of Grace's corvette. Just like before with the rear shields, she made a few adjustments to divert shield power from the bottom of the ship to the top to help compensate for any bombs, or torpedo's that the fighters may get off as they fly by on their attack run.

Mae then looked over at Grace who was confidently commanding her cruiser with a steadfast and look of determination. She enjoyed the leadership that Rafe has brought to the Pykes, but she could tell that Grace was made to be a leader and glad that one of the syndicates had her as theirs.

"Commander? Sounds like I got promoted, Grace."

He retorted with a snort however shortly afterwards he was pulled back into action, rushing past Mae he was going for a small intercom not too far located along a wall near her console, rolling his eyes briefly behind his visor his hands came to wipe across said visor briefly, he then pressed several buttons along said intercom before speaking into it.

Yet before he could finish a word the Corvette was rocked by impact, whilst Mae managed to redirect the Shields just in time the force of the prevented destruction could still be felt, tilting his head lightly, Tyr'din elected that if it was a fight they want, they would get it.

"Aron? Are you there? Get up here I need another Gunner, and bring your better half."

<"What about the bay?">

"Just move it."

He then reached up to take his Helmet off hastily whilst he was jogging towards one of the Targeting Computers he was so fond off, slamming his weight into the seat afore it he let the Helmet rest on the floor whilst he brushed his stark white hair back just a little bit, placing a Headset onto his Head before patching into 2-24 the main communication line of the Corvette.

"Alright im online. Leave starboard side to me. Divert shields larboard, they are circling around."

And just like that... he indeed was online, without discrimination Tyr'din took control of the Starboard-side laser turrets and with adjustments and manual aiming he gave those that dared entire his line of Fire a run for their money one that would only end in their destruction.

Only the non combats were spared, if they tried to run or so much as picked up an eating utensil they were cut down. There was not a single automated defense system nor even a manned emplacement. The cavernous rooms were quickly and easily cleared there being very little furniture.

The doorways were wide enough that they really didn't even act as a choke point. The warlord who had claimed this relic obliviously never considered a ground assault and had poorly prepared for one if he did.

Jules opened his com link, "Zann 1, we have the palace two small fighter craft made it off the surface, everything else is grounded. We have begun interrogations of the prisoners. The other Vanguards around him turned to immediately begin the interrogations, causing Jules to quickly shut down his com link and shout so he would be heard above everyone else, "Gentle Interrogation!"

Several of the Dawn Vanguards turned looking askance of him, and saw Jules snort. He then said, "The Zann's might be interested in them and if not the Pykes definitely will. " The Vanguards only heard, "extra credits," and started issuing new orders.

Mae's decision to transfer the shields to the top of the ship would prove helpful as headhunter fighters were spotted above. Several of the enemy ships would rain down laser cannons toward the corvette, but the deflector shields negated the damage. Meanwhile, Tyr'din had managed to place their guns at just the right angle. Their own laser cannons would begin tearing apart enemy ships as they approached, swiftly decimating the fighters. Grace would be watching the whole thing via viewscreen.

"Excellent work everyone, we're approaching the planet's atmosphere. Prepare to unleash our weapons against the former hutt stronghold. We'll show that Weequay who's boss." As she spoke, a transmission would come through. It was Julius Arvo no less, a real up and comer in the Crimson Dawn. He would speak of prisoners to the pirates, which Grace would respond, "Good work Crimson 1. The Zann Consortium will take them in, if they're willing to fight for freedom."

As that was happening, the last of the starfighters had been dispatched by combination of the Corvette's guns and Starviper's proton warheads. Now they needed to take out the weequay's ground base. It would be a simple task from the skies above.

"Everyone prepare to fire again. The fighters are gone, but we have a stronghold to destroy."

As they cleared the rest of the assault craft in space and turned their attention back to the surface below them, Mae took this pause in the action to first restore balanced shields to the entire ship, and secondly walk over to where Tyr'din was sitting and said "Nice shooting, commander!" She knew from his previous comment to Grace, that was not his rank, but she found it fitting as he coordinated most of the fire on the opposing craft, commanding attention from his peers as well as Grace and Mae herself. She did not often get her first impression of someone wrong, but in this case, with Tyr'din, she certainly did, and made effort to show that she was wrong before.

"If you get tired of Grace and want a bigger slice in something, let me know" she commented loud enough that even Grace could hear her. She did that purposefully as she did not want it to come across as a secret invite. She knew the man would not take her up on it, as she had already saw how well he and Grace worked together, but thought it would be a fitting gesture of an apology and friendship.

Mae then turned and walked back to stand next to Grace as they descended into firing position.

Moving from target to target, this felt to him very much like target practice and he wasn't one to complain, calculating the trajectory of a moving target was the ultimate discipline of honing aim and right here right now? It felt like nothing would be better. Moving the controls as if it intrinsicly came to him he adjusted the aim of the cannons by the finest of nudges before letting them rip.

And rip they did, with the combined efforts of their Gunners what had been previously a threat to them now floated around them as still warm wreckage, a brief exclaim of a cheer came from the other Gunners but Tyr'din remained silent his eyes were glued to the targeting Computer.

"Good work lads. Readjust your firing line for the planet surface now, I will mark your target, wait for your Captains mark before engaging."

<"Will do.">

Just when he was gonna get back into it he swiveled around in his chair looking directly at Mae as she approached him, his deep crimson eyes settled on her with a raised eyebrow, he would let her speak her piece it was the least he could do but what exactly he made of it was unsure yet. Scratching the left side of his chops he thought for a long moment before letting out a brief snicker.

"Stick around Grace and it wont be the last time we see eachother. If my Employer however deems it fit I lend you a hand, you will know. Im certain that either that or well the next time Grace decides to celebrate you'll get your chance."

He would then incline his head ever so slightly a cocky smirk on his face. "Im not cheap afterall and Grace pays a unique price."

He then swiveled back around, rubbing his hands together he adjusted his own point of aim to that of the planet's surface.

"We are ready to engage, Grace."

It did not take long to confirm that the Weequay warlord was among the dead. None of the remaining non combatants appeared to have the drive necessary to hold together more than their immediate family.
Jules cleared all the remaining non combatants simply by stuffing them in every available space on board the three freighters that were parked in the hanger. The crowding would be short lived and a serious preference to what was to come.

Only the Vanguards necessary to fly the captured ships remained the rest of his warriors beat feet and as soon as possible engaged their jet packs to clear the area. He then ordered the Vanguards to engage their active sonar scanners then called, Dawn 1 to Zann 1, three freighters and four fighters with active pings ready to exit the palace.

Jules would wait for Grace's acknowledgement then would make best speed to her ship where he would offload his passengers and then meet up with the transport carrying the rest of his men. His job had been to insure that this warlord was dead. His job was done, now he would leave Grace to hers.

Jules knew that he was going to be here for a few hours the seven ships he had collected would all need new transponders cloned and installed, so he wasn't really in a hurry.

Grace would chuckle as she listened to Mae try to tempt Tyr'din into a job offer. It was amusing, and the woman knew that her most loyal man wouldn't take many other offers. Meanwhile, the corvette would reposition itself to fire upon the stronghold. Jules had already been fighting on the ground, and all that was left to confirm the weequay dead. A task the Crimson Dawn vanguard would succeed at.

As the woman got a response over the comm lines, she would respond "Get out of there soon Dawn 1. The bombardment is ready." The various guns of the crusader would all rotate toward the enemy stronghold, and they were in position to fire. Grace would raise a hand to the air, as if about to point forward, "Everyone, fire on my mark. Three... Two... One... Fire!"

And as such, every last lasercannon would begin raining down upon their enemy's fortress. the place was reinforced, so assuring destruction would take some time. Even still, the guns would not stop firing until there was only rubble left.

"Listen, Lady over a drink perhaps, but you've got fierce competition, so I hope you know what high stakes is."

He nudged his head towards Grace snickering solemnly, before he swiveled back to his Targeting Computer, adjusting points of aim by six mils to the right and 2 to the front he sent those same adjustments to his fellow Gunners who would adjust accordingly, it was like clockwork and one clockwork he was especially proud off, he knew he could depend on his peers because he made sure they could shoot.

"Alright boys and girls, you heard the Lady, break it down!"

Another resounding call from another of the Gunners reaffirmed the same order once more.

<"Break it down!">

And sure enough... now with a coupled firepower hellfire started raining down on the Stronghold, at first it held up but after the second and third barrage it started to crumble and by the fourth and fifth there was only rubble and people scattering from the building left, those that they had not annihilated or destroyed either made a departure very swiftly or are so injured that they can barely walk to save themselves.

"Hold! Hold."

He would call out and after atleast a full minute of continues fire everything came to a halt, the dust and rubble slowly settled for Grace to look upon a successful decimation of the stronghold, there was... little left.

"Did not even need to bring my breach ship, after all. There is nothing less to breach, well down there at least." Mae said as he winked at the others with a small smile and walked to tell her men to stand down in person.
