Alright, let's not get too bogged down in the discussion of this stuff, guys. I'd rather leave this thread mainly for the members involved.

Ah, see, a rule that I don't know about because I can't find it here. Actually have a hard time finding a few things, but hey, I digress on that.

Just saying, seems shady to off the dude when capture is an option.

I'm going to break my silence here, to quiet your fears. The rule itself is in the Role-play Rules. You have a week to reply to a fight/tell people you need more time, after a nudge by your opponent to post.

ICly, capture for Sisk made zero sense. For one, Rook killed the guy's wife. There's the worst possible blood between them. There were very few outcomes to a fight between them. Sisk has also been captured previously, and he broke out from Space Supermax. So that didn't go too well. Rook is also a bit of an ass. He has a weird sense of honor, but an ass nonetheless. He's also a Sith, and a (at the time) enraged wookiee. If I felt it would have been in his character to capture and interrogate Sisk, that's what the admin ruling would have been. However, they had to follow by what I had written, as it would have been completely bizarre for it to happen otherwise.

I want to be perfectly clear here. I did not make the decision to follow the auto-hit rule lightly. I don't like to throw the book at people. I've had that rule used against me before, and I was lucky that Rook made it out alive. Ultimately, I made a choice that's had a pretty serious impact on the thread and another player. I understand that it might be frustrating.

Yes, it's a rule. But the person who can use it doesn't always have to. I used it, I didn't like using it. I've never used it before. My reasons are my own, but I want you to know that I did not make the decision light-handedly, or in an attempt to hand-wave a victory. If you and I ever end up writing a PvP, I don't want you to be afraid of me throwing the rules at you. I want you to write, and to have fun.

Every thread has their own circumstances, and it's the unfortunate fate that this thread's circumstances warranted me using that rule.

This will be my final post on the subject. I do not wish to further tear open a wound that is extremely raw at this point.

Debating between letting the Jedi team escape unassaulted or have Geist play with them first. I think at the current mood/pace of things, I think it makes better sense for the Jedi to escape without encountering Geist. I probably will instead have him kill some Mandalorian NPCs, to explain why he was held up.

Yeah, this makes more sense to me, honestly. Mandos planting bombs are a more immediate threat than a single Jedi carrying out two mentally scarred prisoners.
