Canto Bight was a city of excess and greed that served as a gilded Oasis on the desert planet of Cantonica which was located in the heart of the Corporate Sector's authority. It was the destination city for Corporate Executives from all walks of the galaxy, to come and spend their employer's credits. It wouldn't be hard to think that some of the top could be skimmed off without them realizing, that's what the employer for this job sure hoped for. The agent went by Hope, and insisted on only ever speaking through private and secure holo-channels. They spoke about taking the power and giving it back to the people of the Outer Rim -- and that Rynn and another unidentified contractor would be the hands to do just that.

The Mando scoffed at the notion of it all as he waited outside of the docking areas that lead towards the large round palaces of the casinos and exhibits. There was to be a technological expo this weekend, where all of the galaxies largest shipping, weapons, and various manufacturing firms could be seen and mostly pat themselves on the back and gamble. But, where trade was happening, secrets were abound. The job was simple, a small water-engineering firm known as Zazplex Moisture Retention Incorporated, was going to be unveiling a new water retention system, one that they would no doubt push upon the various moisture farmers across the galaxy. Hope wished to see it collected and studied, so it could be put to good use. The mechanical voice behind the holo-calls called for good intentions, but Rynn was skeptical. Who they were behind it, the man wasn't sure. But, her passcodes into the atmosphere of the planet had at least worked. That counts for something...

Terra wasn't overly worried about who had hired her for this job. She wasn't agonizing over any morality or whether this was right or not. These people were pulling down so much money every minute that she could have easily lived a whole year off of what they made in a week. If their employer was a competitor, a Robin Hood, or just someone looking for a quick buck, it ultimately didn't really matter to her.

Her partner on this operation was someone she didn't know, which of course she didn't like. But it was really nothing knew. It wasn't so much different than the scams she had run growing up, but at least most of the time those had been with others from the gang. But you had to make due with what you had, and she'd be sure not to rely too heavily on her partner.

Double checking that her blaster was set to stun and concealed, she had made her way from her ship to the meeting point aboard her speeder bike, making good time and pulling into the small garage area with time to spare. It was all the better that her biker helmet obscured her whole face and still left room for her horns to stick out. She'd been hired under the name "Iron Dragon" and she'd already received half of the payment for the job.

She pulled to a stop just outside the agreed on docking port. She'd been told her partner was Mandalorian, and that was enough for her to pick him or her out of the people packed in the area.

Got Hope? she said. It was random enough that most people would just think she was weird or maybe looking to convert them to some religion, but clear enough to someone else working for their mutual boss what she was asking of the T-visored man.

Mine are better. They're real, she said jokingly, pointing to her horns and indicating they were superior to those stuck on the Mandalorian's helmet.

Got Hope? The term was just random enough to catch his attention and shift his head in the direction of where the voice had come from. His helmeted head tilted a bit to the side as his lifeless gold visor peered towards the helmeted figure. "These horns are older than your own." His raspy voice was mixed with a youthfulness that betrayed his actual age to any he spoke to, and had often left people questioning his experience.

"This armor has been passed down for generations, and I wear it as the last of my tribe." He'd say as he pulled himself up with a shaky breath, "Rynn of Clan Itera," his leather bound hand reached out to clasp her own if she accepted it. If this was going to be a stealth mission, the Mandalorian was going to stick out as a sore thumb.

Terra smirked from behind her helmet as he talked about the horns on his helmet. At least he had good taste in head adornment if nothing else.

Yeah, but real, she said, pointing at her own head again and smirking, her tone betraying that it was a joke. She didn't know the significance of the horns on his head, but perhaps it would come up at some point. Unlikely, though, and she wasn't likely to ask. At least not right now.

Well, good to meet you Rynn of Clan Itera, she said, knowing she was likely to have absolutely forgotten his name in about two minutes. Rynn, Rynn, Rynn, she tried to cement the name in her mind.

Iron Dragon. Or Dragon. Or sometimes "hey you," she said, trying to gauge just how much of a sense of humor this one had. From reputation, Mandalorians were often as boring as logs when it came to jokes. Not that she'd ever actually met one before, but... you know, rumors.

Regardless, it was impressive to have a Mandalorian on the job. Hopefully they lived up to their reputation.

We should go somewhere more private to talk, she said, deciding that the very port they were outside of was as good an option as any. She pointed toward it, seeing that no ship was currently docked there and therefore no pit crews were in the area.

She moved inside, dismounting her speeder altogether once she had brought her bike to a stop.

The realization that stealth might not be his specialty wasn't lost on her, but that didn't mean it was impossible.

Look, I'll be straight. Stick-ups and run and guns aren't really my thing. I'm hoping we don't have to jump right to shooting people, she said, also trying to gauge just how violent her partner might have been. Seemed like "Hope" wasn't the type to hire a lot of straight murderers, but you never knew.

The Mandalorian tilted his head a bit, causing the synthetic lighting of the port to reflect upon his visor. He definitely looked out of place in a bougie location such as this. "How do you know I don't have horns beneath?" His raspy breath seemed to wheeze as he held back a laugh. This Iron Dragon seemed to have some sort of personality, which was refreshing. Most the schutta that Rynn had been running with all had hard-ons for coming across as macho or hardline criminals that took any wrong look as a chance to fight.

"It's nice to meet you, Hey-You." His lips twisted into a smile beneath his helmet as he followed behind her until they reached the port. Things seemed to be going well, until she whipped around and accused him of being violent -- or so it came across that way. An audible huff escaped from his helmet as his teeth clenched.

"Are you being racist?" Was Mandalorian even a race -- or was it a way of life? "Just because weapons are part of my religion, does not mean I plan on shooting this.." He pointed back towards the vicinity of where the Expo was being held, "..whatever is in there."

Alright, touche. They just look very metallic, she said with a shrug, pretty sure he was joking but not positive. It was a pretty good indication that it had probably been a joke when he proceeded to call her "hey you," and she couldn't help but laughing. She wondered silently if the two of them using humor was just to distract them both from the danger of what was to come.

It seemed she had offended him with her comment and while that wasn't her goal, it didn't seem to slow her down per se.

She shrugged. You're wearing a lot of body armor, she pointed out. That usually means a shootout. Heavy body armor at that. She'd heard the rumors that they never took it off, but she didn't know if that was true. After all, she'd heard all sorts of awful rumors about tiefling and none of those were true.

Glad to hear we're on the same page, then, she said, opting not to linger on what might have been a disagreement.

I wonder if we can just steal the blueprints. Probably easier than walking out with a whole unit, right? she said. Of course, that may well be their only option, but not yet.

I think I can hotwire the back door for an entry point, she suggested.

The Mandalorian peered down towards his armor and back to the woman, "My armor is all I have, it's important to us Mandalorians..." He paused for a moment to take a heavy hit of oxygen which hissed through his helmet, and would most likely draw a look from his partner. "Will that be a problem?"

He'd bring up his wrist as she spoke, flicking a button to pull up the instructions via a holographic display. "It says blueprints here, so you're right. I think we'll have to find their booth..they have booths in these things?" He had never worked a job in his life, but the thought of going onto the floor in this armor would draw a look. "Echutta..."

He shook his head as he raised his hand, "I know what you're thinking...But, I can't take this helmet off. It's against my religion."

She shrugged again as he asked if his armor was a problem. She didn't have that much of an issue as long as it didn't mean they had to start into a gunfight. Otherwise, she was a relatively easygoing individual.

It's not up to me whether it's an issue, she said, her statement clearly referencing how others would feel about him walking in in armor. Her eyebrow rose for a moment behind her helmet at the hissing sound of oxygen, wondering what that was all about but not saying anything on the topic.

She looked at the projector on his wrist, twisting her head sideways for a moment in thought. Yeah, booth, she said with a nod, now thinking that even her own biking helmet might cause a problem for them. Time to improvise perhaps.

Huh, so it's true you guys don't take off your helmets? Hm, she said with a nod as if to say "that's interesting." And it was. She wasn't sure she believed it, but now she'd heard it straight from the source.

She made her way over toward the door she had referenced earlier, glancing at the lock for a moment.

Make sure no one sees me, she said, glancing up and down the path before kneeling down and pulling out her pocket knife, popping the front off of the panel to expose the wires beneath and starting to work.

"I'll stick out like a tick on a rancor, but we'll make it work. It's just a datapad and some holo-records. We'll get in and out, like it was nothing." He'd say as he followed her down the path which had lead towards the door. He watched for a few moments as she worked at the wires with the blade, cutting them open and sending the door up with a loud hiss.

"Some Mandalorians take their helmets off.." He'd say in a low whisper as he stepped into the back area of the conference center. Crates and supplies lingered about as several maintenance and labor droids could be seen down on the other ends of the hallways. Loud music boomed from beyond the opposite walls, as they were only meters from the large expo that was taking place.

"We need to find some sort of..uh,"
the young Mando paused for a moment, "Control center? We need a map to figure out where to go."

She supposed that made sense. Not everyone was the same and if there was "helmet" and "no helmet" Mandos she supposed that was logical. She pulled a few more wires together, stripping off the exterior and sparking them against each other. She smiled broadly as the door leapt open with a hiss.

She followed him along as they crept through the varied crates, making their way through and hiding from droids as they passed by. Fortunately, most of these droids were so focused on what they were programmed to do that they didn't pay much attention to the intruders.

Right, probably on an upper level, she said, tilting her head back to look up. There were catwalks above them for maintenance workers, but no one seemed to be on them that she could see. It might provide a means of movement that was more away from prying eyes.

You have a grappling line or anything? she asked, hoping but not counting on a "yes." If not, then perhaps they could find a different way to ascend into the relative shadows.

"I do," the Mandalorian would say as he stepped forward and aimed his right gauntlet towards the ceiling, specifically a support beam. With a press of a button a coil would shoot out and a claw would snap and wrap around the beam. He'd reach over to her, pulling her into his arms as they zipped up -- not seeming to care if she was going to protest.

Within moments they would find themselves hoisted up and onto the platform above. Rynn would drop to a knee, allowing her to slide from his hold. "Who said chivalry was dead?" His lips smirked as he pulled himself up to peer over the platform. They seemed to be clear in this area, but where would they go?

"What now?"

Huh, she said in somewhat surprise as he actually had a grappling hook. Neat trick, she thought to herself before he grabbed her to pull her up. She wasn't bothered by that because, really, how else were they going to get up?

He helped her get into position, and snickered slightly at his comment. He wasn't such a bad guy. Seemed decent enough, at least, and he seemed professional, which was more than she could say for some jokers.

She reached down and pulled the pistol from her holster, once again double checking that it was on stun before proceeding.

We need to find the booth in question, I guess, she said. It wasn't really much of a "plan" but it was the next step. And make sure no one sees us up here. No workers or anything, she said.

The Mandalorian would draw his two blaster pistols from his side, his fingers twirling them a few times as he flicked the switch to stun. A lightsaber would be clearly visible and connected to his belt at that moment, if she was looking. His visor shifted and peered around the platform before motioning to follow him. The platform served as a maze, that passed through small service ducts before opening up into the large expo.

If the pair looked down they would see the flashing lights and a sea of people passing across various tech booths, but they were mostly obscured by the darkness that was afforded to the maintenance walkways. Rynn scanned across the large area before motioning towards a large center that was built into the roof. "It has to be there.."

The Mandalorian would leave little time for his partner to say anything and instead would push forward with blasters drawn. A maintenance worker had stepped out of one of the side walkways and spotted them, but Rynn would quickly fire his blaster -- hitting the man square in the chest and almost sending him over the railing.

"How are we looking back there?"
