((To my knowledge Lightning whether natural or through the Force is grounded by a Lightsaber meaning it's dissipated upon contact with the blade unless a highly trained Force User exerts himself to deflect it back at the person who sent it out (i.e. Mace to Palpatine.) That said you're character hand would be getting a blast of electricity coursed back through him almost directly by your knowledge, or the blade would simply intake all the energy (the lightning) and his hand would be cut off. Unless I'm perceiving this entirely differently. Sorry for the hassle just trying to get my options straight :-p))

(( Mace was in close proximity with Palpatine, meaning he simply had to angle the saber at his foe to deflect it back. He was exerting himself because Palpy was using the same sort of power as he did when he pushed Windu off of the ledge. The lightning on Hanshin's hand is being manipulated by him, so he can keep it in place. TRUMP'D! ))

Depending on the level of intensity, Force lightning could ground itself on an ignited lightsaber, with no apparent ill effect on the lightsaber's operation.

And Hanshin, lightning is lightning. You wouldn't be able to use it as a glove to grab a lightsaber. That's just ridiculous.

Caed would do something that was not as rational as any other technique anyone had practiced, he had learned it from his father, who had learned it from a Jedi Master long before Caed's existence was even thought of. The yellow beam of light drew closer to his opponents own blade, he was preparing for this, Hanshin's hand raising was something he did not plan on. Putting his focus entirely on the blade, it was as if time had slowed down, his focus was 100% on his own blade, it was all about timing.

Just before Caed's own lightsaber came in contact with Hanshin's he hit the igniter, with the all too familiar sound it sucked into the hilt, disappearing. Less than a second later the button flicked back on, the blade hissing to life, just past his opponent's intended block but still on track to cut the man in two. Caed's face however would take a blast of lightning at almost point blank, coursing through him he screamed out in agony. Dropping backwards from the force of the electrical current he laid limp in the cold snow.

Hanshin was rattled by the maneuver, and was just glad that he was lucky enough to have stored that lightning away. However, even if he had lost a little breath from surprise, he still needed to be quick, ruthless, and decisive. With that in mind, he pulled to the side with the Force, feeling a bit more fatigue than was usual due to the lightning maneuver. However, the pull was quick and instantaneous. Using the Force, he knocked his opponent's head to the side, with enough force to snap his neck. In case there would be retaliation, he began to walk backwards slowly before he did this. If this didn't work, while his opponent was stunned on the ground before him, he was afraid this would turn out to be an endurance contest.

Shocked at the sudden dodge of the blade that Caed had almost assured himself would be a hit something told him to look out in his mind, Farsight guided him. Sending a Force push quickly to his side as Hanshin did the same they displaced each other, he could definitely feel his strain picking up from an aspect of the Force. His physical side was more than ready to continue the fight. Feeling the burns on his face only made him angrier, filled with hate for Hanshin now as he rocked his legs to his chest and flicked himself up off the ground. This was beginning to become too close a fight for what he believed to be either of them. Watching Hanshin take steps back, Caed took in a deep breath of his own as the break presented itself.

Searching for anything that could be of use to beat his opponent his eyes focused on a fallen pine that laid just behind Hanshin and to his right. Reaching out through the Force he pulled the object towards himself, just as it was passing by Hanshin, Caed lept cutting at the hundreds of pine needles that littered the branch. The result would be dozens of sharp needles sent at his opponents face and chest, a spin that flowed with the motion would be a cut at Hanshin's mid section.
