The ocean of sand that ripped past was hypnotizing as Leon watched it roll by out the window. If you’d have asked The Jedi Padawan a few weeks ago what he’d be doing right now, his current situation is exactly what he’d have described. The only difference was he would have been lying or making a joke in the hypothetical. Rescuing Liana hadn’t gone the way he’d hoped, but…at least he wasn’t dead.
The last few weeks had been brutal, his weapons were taken, well except for his heavy blaster. Peef had brought him along on a mission to defend the train they we’re riding on from raiders. Tusken Raiders we’re known throughout the galaxy and truth be told Leon was interested to see it for himself.
He was equipped with his usual gear minus his lightsabers and NalPhone. He'd donned a poncho and mask to help with the harsh sun and obscure his blaster from view. He still wasn't sure what he was in this situation. Was he earning his freedom? An honorary member of the gang? Nah, he was just an expendable asset. If Leon died it wouldn't be any suction off Peef's cups.
Suddenly, a weequay burst through the cabin door, “Boss, we’ve spotted a scout!”
