Ronan, after not seeing Hailee for a while, grew bored and turned to the ship's navigational control board. He messed with random buttons and accidentally did something to the heater module- it suddenly dropped ten degrees in the cockpit. He got up when he couldn't figure out how to fix it and left the cockpit to see if it was the same for the rest of the ship. He noticed the door to his room was open, and when he stepped in, he saw Hailee, marveling at everything. "Can I help you," he said dryly.

She had taken a few more steps inside this suite and looked around with a hint of amazement in her gaze. She never had a luxurious life and this cabin was probably larger than her old apartment back on Corellia, so she couldn't quite hide her fascination, when suddenly a familiar voice appeared. She turned around a bit startled, because he hadn't felt him approach, which proved to her again that she was pretty good at controlling the Force surrounding them. She wasn't so sure why she felt a bit caught, because she wasn't actually doing anything more than sneaking around after he forgot to close her door, but she tried not to let him notice. "No. I was just talking a walk", she replied, mimicking the dryness of his voice, while a shiver ran down her spine. Was it getting colder in here, she wondered.

Ronan's expression did not change. "Well walk somewhere else." He said. "This is my suite," he eyed his rumpled bed- it looked like he had fought off monster and lost. He shivered, and cursed. He had broken the heater module. Great. It would be extremely difficult to repair, and meanwhile he would have to suffer through quickly dropping temperatures. The ship had a back up generator so they wouldn't freeze to death, but it would still be less than comfortable.

His cold tone amused her, because it somehow fitted the sudden drop of temperatures. At first she thought she was only imagining it, but then she was quite sure that there was actually something wrong. "Oh, sorry. I didn't know", she gave him an overly apologetic look while her voice hid a slight trace of sarcasm, because the bed and the clothes on the floor proved that this was definitely where he had slept. "Mind telling me what you did to the heater?", she asked while she brushed past him and left for the cockpit, where she expected to find answers to that question as well.

When Hailee started for the cockpit Ronan took a couple big steps and ended up in front of her again. "It's broken, love," Ronan said matter-of-factly, leaning an arm against the wall, barring her from going into the cockpit. "There is a backup generator it will only keep us alive," he said, annoyed with himself for letting Hailee distract him. "Unless you have a hidden talent for ships, turn around and march right back where you came from,"

She wondered what had gotten into him now, because he acted as though he had to avoid letting her enter the cockpit by all means, which was a little suspicious to her. What was he trying to hide? The explanation followed soon after, but she was slightly irritated by the fact that the heater module of such a new ship would break just like that. "You're not being serious", was her first response, not being fully able to process the new information. Having a back-up heater that would only just keep them alive sounded everything but comfortable. "Let me have a look. I have some technical expertise as I was repairing certain parts of ships. I think I've never had a broken heating module, though", she added truthfully, knowing that he would detect lies right away. If there was a chance of fixing it, she wanted to take it, so she actually demanded to be let through for now.

Ronan sighed and dropped his arm, stepping back to let Hailee walk into the cockpit. This was the only part of his ship that she hadn't been in. Now everywhere was - tainted? - with her. "You probably haven't, this is a rare problem," he said, leaving out the part that he had been the one to break it. "If you do fix it, I'll answer three questions," he said. Maybe that would encourage Hailee to save them from this miserable fate. He figured he would probably regret this decision later.

Hailee was delighted that he at least agreed to let her have a look, but his opening phrase was quite pessimistic, which let her roll her eyes another time. Only because something was rare didn't mean it couldn't be fixed. When he then added his proposal, she actually started to laugh in his presence for the first time, because she knew exactly what he was trying. "Oh thank you. That's overly kind of you", she responded still grinning and yet sarcastically. Did he actually think that she hadn't had enough reasons for trying to fix it already? The proposal sounded tempting, that she had to admit, but her shivers made it difficult for her to think about that promising prospect any further right now. She slid into the pilot's chair and browsed through the monitor, but it didn't take long until she figured something out for sure:"Unfortunately you are right. This needs professional fixing. Any idea how far we would have to travel for the next capable repair shop?", she asked a little distressed, because the prospect was clearly not the best. What she would however try to do was finding the actual module in the ship and hoping to create a better short term solution, while the real fixing would had to be left for professionals.

Ronan sighed, and sat down in the co-pilots seat. Now she was sitting in his seat. He didn't want to think about what would be next."The nearest one is about a three week journey," he said. "You don't still want those questions, do you?" he asked. He was genuinely bored. And cold. In a matter of minutes, the temperature had dropped about 20 degrees.

Hailee buried her face with her palms for a moment, before she let out a frustrated sight. She knew that she had to wait a little time, perhaps a few hours before she could try to locate and examine the module without burning her hands. Three weeks? Would they actually survive that? They could wear several layers of clothes but this kind of warmth wouldn't keep them warm for long. As she actually began to shiver in her slightly torn robes, she embraces herself and pulled her knees to her torso, so that she could at least warm herself with her own heat, while she ironically sat in the pilot's chair. When he spoke again, she turned her face back in his direction, amused by his rather desperate question. "Sure I want those questions, but maybe we should move to one of the smaller cabins first. We need to save as much heat as possible and it will be easier to contain the warmth there", she proposed, realizing how strange things turned out in the blink of an eye. A few hours ago she was a hand cuffed prisoner, locked into a room, while they were now somehow in the same boat.

Ronan got up and led the way to the crew cabin Hailee had slept in. "There are other ways to stay warm," he muttered as he shut the door behind them. He fully expected to get slapped across the face for even saying that. At least, he hoped so. He didn't know what he would do if the girl didn't shoot him down or if she asked him to elaborate. Her stayed standing, hyper-aware of everything in the room.

Walking down the corridor was better, the movement kept her at least a little warmer, but also she stopped in the cabin, another shiver was sent down her spine. The temperature must have dropped vehemently and she really hoped that it wouldn't get even colder. As he opened his mouth she could hardly believe what he was saying, but she realized that he was probably just trying to evoke another provocation. She spun on her heels facing him, instead of shooting him a furious look, she threw him an overly innocent one. "What do you imply?", she asked softly, pretty aware of the fact that it would possible make him feel uncomfortable for even considering the things he had just said. What as before, two could play this game. Or was this even a game now? He could also be serious, but she didn't even want to think about it.

Ronan pretended to be offended. "What do I imply? You're the one who suggested we huddle in this ridiculously small bedroom," he snorted. "What do you imply?" he crossed his arms. He really wished he had just kept his mouth shut, he had only made things worse. Ronan shivered. He felt so cold he wouldn't have been surprised to see snow. He walked over to the drawers of his old clothes, pulled out another cloak, and wrapped it around his shoulders.

His response made her roll her eyes another time, because she was fully convinced that he was the first to come up with something like that. Of course the idea had crossed her mind, too, but she would never had the audacity to come up with something like that. While he was looking for more clothes she sat on the bed an covered herself with the blanket, then she shot him an innocent glare again. "I was just thinking logically. We radiate our body heat and it's easier to contain it inside this smaller room", she defended herself calmly, before a little smirk sneaked into her face. "It looked like a different idea crossed your mind though. Feel free to share it", she declared, while her green eyes had landed on his again.

Ronan wished he could've pulled off the innocent look that Hailee mastered so well. All he could do was shut his mind completely off, so Hailee would have no idea what he was thinking. "How about those questions," he said, changing the subject. Too late, when the words were already out of his mouth, he realized she could use that as one of her questions. He just hoped she would prioritize the other things she had been pestering him with. He pulled up the hood of his cloak again because it shadowed his face and made it easier to avoid making eye contact.

Hailee was not amused by the fact that he ended this game a little early, because she really wanted to squeeze an answer out of him. It was fun triggering him and it could easily make the time run faster. But questions and answers were also fine with her, so she casually leaned back against the wall, sitting rather upright and still starting to shiver a little. "All right. First question. Why are we headed to Moraband?", she then replied quite directly, playfully tilting her head to the side. She had her questions already planned out, the first one was about their destination.

Ronan was silent for a while before answering. "You have potential in the Force. If you had someone to train you, you could be very strong." he paused, finally meeting her eyes from beneath his hood. "On Moraband, you could become powerful beyond your imagination," he said. Reaching out a hand with the Force, he lifted Hailee out of the bed and flipped her a couple times in the air before dropping her ungracefully back on the bed.

The blonde woman was surprised by his direct honesty and she was just starting to think that he wasn't to bad at all, because his purpose sounded somehow...valid. She knew that his purposes were, nevertheless, selfish or at least self-serving, because it implied that he wanted to convince her to learn his Sith ways and that was something Hailee wouldn't let happen. She therefore scoffed, but before she could give a snappy answer, she was suddenly starting to levitate. It all happened so fast, that she couldn't even try to stop him, but as soon as he let her fall down quite aprublty, she regained her position and just reached for his throat with the Force quite angrily. She knew that he could easily stop her, but her temper immediately got the best of her and so she attacked him too. His gesture was rude and completely unnecessary, a sole demonstration of his power, and so she had to do something about it and the first thing that came into her mind was choking him.

Ronan smiled when Hailee grabbed his throat with the Force. Like a dull knife through thick bread, he cut her hold on him. "You are only proving my point, love," he said calmly, keeping up his walls. "Next question," he continued, as if nothing had happened. It was quite fun messing with her; he could have his fun too.

She started to feel extremely frustrated since he way toying with her now like a cat would play with its half dead mouse. They weren't really equal. He could overthrow her whenever he felt like it, either with the Force or probably also physically. She let out an annoyed sigh, crossing her legs and leaning back again, hoping that he would let her sit this time. It made her even more angry that he was constantly using the word 'love' while refering to her, but she knew that she would only give him satisfaction by reacting to it. "Question two", she began, her tone still a little pissed, but she knew how she could get her revenge "refers to the cold. What were you implying a few minutes ago?". She knew she taunted him while raising this particular question again, but she couldn't let it slide. She wanted him to become uncomfortable by trying to explain the thoughts that were crossing his seemingly a little dirty mind and that's why she confidently challenged him one more time.
