A smuggler of the most sophisticated kind, Dai-Vow was a man sought after in nearly every endeavor with a bounty on his head and a hunter on his heels. A tall Kiffar with a constant scowl upon his angular face and the weight of his accomplishments held upon his broad shoulders he found himself fully realizing the compromising position he was in.

Never in his career had he been meager in the assurance of his own safety, men were constantly at his beck and call - at his back at every moment- every where he set foot he was protected by gunmen seen and unseen but on that particular night he shared the company of only one other person- and he had insisted none of his men be near- not even to stand by the door. He found himself fidgeting, a habit he had never taken up to his knowledge and yet the thought of his guest’s arrival caused him to do so uncontrollably.
Calming himself he let his eyes lose focus on the view his seat permitted, the filthy city scape of Nar Shaddaa lay before him, polluted like a disease infested Coruscant. His guard had dropped considerably since leaving the aforementioned planet, the disorder of Nar Shadda was a like a cloak to those who sought refuge from the law.

Then she arrived, a smiling reflection in the window, grinning mischievously at his seemingly unawareness of her presence. Beauty that needed no introduction.

She looped her arms around his neck and startled him at the unexpected physical contact. It was like having doll, she styled herself to his taste and was willing to alter her looks to meet his passing fancies. Had Dai-Vow wanted a woman with shorter hair- she would be that woman as soon as scissors were within her reach, if he changed his mind and wanted her to wear red rather then black, she would obliged with only a follow up question as to which a shade would look best on her skin tone- for a man who loved control she was ideal, a customizable woman of the rarest sort: organic and willing.

She pressed her kiss to his cheek then spoke into his ear softly, lips moist and full- the color of rose clay.

"What do you think?" She asked.

Pulling away she modeled her new outfit- the one he preferred to her first personal selection...

"It suites you." He replied, shortly, rubbing his upper lip with his index finger and remaining seated.

"Matches your eyes!" he added.

Which was untrue considering the pair she possessed were multicolored; grey in the middle like a star burst and pale blue surrounding the rest of the iris.
But she nodded never the less, smiling and turning about. Her hair bounced in lush curls of dark against the tan of her skin.

“I’d be wearing slate every time if you had a say” She said, taking a seat on his lap and knowing that he did.

He laughed through his nose and looked her over, venturing to even run his fingers through her hair before he was interrupted to roam further with a clumsy tip of a glass.

He had forgotten he was holding a drink in his hand, the contents of which stained her top.

“Dammit.” he muttered and she rose, halting his apologies.

“Its fine- I’ll be but a moment.” She insisted.

And then she left him to ‘clean herself up.’ leaving him to wait once more, eyes lazily resting on the sky line. He smiled, his heart throbbed with longing and his adoration nearly verbalized by the feeling welling up inside for his most forgotten emotions.

As most things that are too good to be true go- it was.

For as the woman of Dai-Fel’s eye and the object of his most honestly granted affection stepped out of his view and down the empty hall of his modest accommodations ( the entire top floor rented out of an upper class hotel-even by criminal standards) her motives were made clear…

Echo Eii-Sai had just secured the death of her newest target.

Entering the elevator she spoke- she rarely verbalized her signals but felt secure enough in that instance that her unseen communicator’s signal would not be heard or tracked.

“Twentieth floor, you’ll know who I am.” She said, her voice like a scratchier alteration of the one she used while addressing her male companion on the upper floor. Echo Eii-Sai had just secured the death of her newest target, but it would not be by her own hands.

It was not unlike her to make arrangements to work with organizations needing an inside woman- although the art of combat was not amongst her talents, being a decorated snitch and spy was…and she was never styled the same way twice- with each job came a new name and a new disguise and the one she had given her newest partners was no different.

Quickly making a pit stop at room 2430, she retrieved a trim pack (utensils within its folds) with all she would need for the coming event, strapping it to her back she reentered the elevator briefly.

Crossing her arms behind her back she exited on the previously mentioned floor and met her new associates for the first time- a pair of bounty hunters straight from the guild.

Castor Varga, son of the famed Ares Varga, stretched his arms back and forth, yawning underneath his helmet as he did so. He starting looking over his assault rifle to make sure everything was in proper order when he noticed a small scratch running along the barrel. "MY BABY!" He shouted, the noise didn't reach past his helmet though as the external speakers were turned off. The only person who would have heard his exclamation would be his brother, Polux Varga.
Castor grabbed a rag from his belt and started rubbing at the scratch to remove any particles of dirt that might still linger there and after doing that he took a small bottle of liquid metal filler, the same shade as the rifle's metal. Using the brush applicator he filled in the scratch and it dried in a few moments.
"Whew, I was worried there for a second...." He had just finished that when their contact came through the door.
Castor whistled loudly, sound still blocked by his helmet.....

Polux only snorted in disapproval to his brothers obvious obsession with his weapons. He himself only saw them as tools, objects meant to serve and, a singular purpose and nothing more.

Seeing their informant enter, Polux kicked his brother in the back of the leg to prompt him to stand fully. Although the woman before them reeked of her past deeds and events to come, she was still a woman, and demaded some sort of respect.

That of course was left to his brother however, Polux had nothing to say to their informat. He only folded his arms and waited.

Turning to face the armored pair Echo hailed them with sarcasm.

“you, threatening armored gentlemen!” She called.

“Happen to see any bounty hunters trouncing around? I believe I told them to proceed with caution so my 4 four months of cover wasn't blown within twenty minutes of their arrival."

The arrangement had never been a face to face one and so it was their first meeting. Instantly she was given the impression she had expected-daunting, armed, and anything but subtle.

Castor started to his feet from the kick to the leg, "Yowch!"
He grumbled under his breath, most likely a few obscenities, and then reached up to remove his helmet. He popped it off and ran an armored hand through his clump of hair, as he was pushing the hair the zabrak horns on his head became visible.
He grinned at the woman, "The name's Castor Varga, pleased to meet ya." He pointed to his brother, "and the gloomy one is my brother Polux Varga." He grinned again, "Subtlety is our specialty....well...yeah it's not our specialty but we are quite dashing....well at least I am."

He raised one eyebrow, he could sense all the good deeds she had done, or at least the good that come out of things she had done. He knew his brother at this moment would be sensing every bad thing....it was what balanced them out, one of the reasons neither came to a conclusion by themselves.

"And we've been here thirty minutes and I see your cover is still intact. So...where's the target?"

“How do you do?” she addressed the quiet one, examining his emotionless helmet like a child.

“Echo, Pleasure.”

Expecting them to follow, Echo reentered the elevator. Cocky, yes but the helmet less one was undeniably attractive and had garnered a small rise in her heart rate at the revelation. A square jaw and a mess of fair hair made him devilishly handsome- horns and all. When it came to men, however, she had little interest save for their pay roll…

“He’s alone.” She said, of the target.

“It took a lot of convincing but I always get my man.” her eyes quickly scanned the pair and a smile lit her face.

"He has a blaster on him-just the one, I checked." She began, giving them the run down of the intelligence she had gathered.

"His ship...or should I say a Mr. Kosorin's ship is in the dock just adjacent of here. You know the one- dead man all over the holonet? Anyway, the target's alone for now but just down the row at another establishment he's housing about 8 of his men."

Castor cocked an eyebrow, "You 'checked' huh? Now that's something I'd be interested in hearing about..." He grinned to show he was just joking around.

He perked up at the mention of eight men. "Eight guys? WHOAH! Now there's something we should think about there....I don't know about those odds....."
He paused for a second, "Maybe just Polux should go in, it would be too unfair to them otherwise....." He winked at the girl. She seemed really nice, of course...everyone seemed really nice to Castor....

Polux only grunted for a reply, he had not want nor need to speak directly to the female. To him she was just like the weapons that hung from his frame, a tool to get to a more devious individual.

Silently he followed his brother and their informant onto the elevator, upon hearing the woman inform them of the situation and of their target, he immediately nudged his brother in the shoulder to silence him for a moment.

" The men she speaks off wont be a problem... "

The skull painted on the front of Polux's helmet bobbed as he spoke, the dark red photoreceptors casting a grim shadow across it in the darker lighting of the elevator. His voice came out deep and grating, holding weight upon every sylable like molten lead. The one and only reason he did not speak to his brother via comm. link was the fact Castor had removed his helmet, effectivly removing their private link.

" She said our target is alone. His men are far off, too distant to help their master... "

"Eight very far away men." Echo corrected. Cute and charming, neither of which she found a good quality to have in a man...dangerous qualities.

The elevator rapidly approached their destination.

Turning to the silent skull-faced helmet wearer she nodded, nervous if anything- what a contrast of characters...she was reminded of a reaper-

Ding! They had arrived at their destination.

Cautiously approaching the room she signaled for silence. Leaning towards the closed door she called.

"Darling!"

No reply.

"Darling I-"

she was unable to open the door.

"Darling," She said, becoming unnerved.

"Why have you locked the door?" She laughed.

Still there came no reply.

Frowning she stepped back, something was amiss. He couldn’t have caught on- not possible and he had hardly drank enough for that to be of any excuse. Removing a small card from her pack she slide it in the key access and waited. If he was inside she would not have to explain the action.

When the door opened Echo swiftly entered.

She slipped on her second step, letting out a cry of surprise upon the slick floor.

Dammit!” she cursed, rising in a fluid motion and making her way to the bedroom.

She stopped mid way, suddenly feeling the need to examine her palm. What she found was stained with crimson- a puddle of blood smearing the floor. Wordlessly mouthing her concern she continued on to the bedroom with reckless abandon of her “cover .” throwing open the door she gasped.

Pieces of flesh and sinew strewn over the floor, gore and its juices upon the walls, more slices then a man could ever be put back together with were explosively displayed!

Dai-Fel had been massacred.

Castor entered the room behind Echo, he went to help her up but paused when he saw the blood.

"What the fierfek..." He murmured.

Castor quickly followed the woman towards the bedroom, motioning for Polux to follow him.

He entered the room and swept it with his rifle. Upon not seeing any contacts he looked at the carnage surrounding them.

He whispered into his comms, the shock evident in his voice, "Bro....remember those stories dad and mum told us about Bad Eyes? Well....I think I'm gonna start having new nightmares......"

Polux only chucked lightly for a reply. The sound would be unheard to Echo, as Polux had switched to his internal speakers.

" I do not blame you brother. "

As he spoke Polux knelt down to closer examine the carnage. There were no burns or char marks, eliminating a jedi or some random goon with a blaster or disintigrator. Rubbing two fingers through the blood, Polux rubbed the bodyfluid between his digits. It was still fresh, only just beginning to coagulate.

From what hunks of flesh that were big enough to examine directly, Polux was able to conclude that it probably wasnt a grenade, a blast from even a simple fragmention grenade would have created a burn pattern where it originally detonated. Since there was none, it had to have been with some sort of bladed weapon.

Suddenly he stood, hand on his shattergun as he turned to his and his brothers informant. Clicking the saftey off, Polux turned on his helmets exterior speakers and spoke.

" Did you do this? "

"I know how this looks," Echo pleaded, her hands held out and empty as she began to back step.

"But I had nothing to do with this-" She gestured towards the bedroom, throwing her arm in the direction of what was left of Dai-Fel.

"He was still breathing when I left and the only time I put a hand on him he sure as hell didn't mind!"

"Ugh this is bad..." She ran her fingers through her hair roughly and looked to the ceiling as if it held clues.

A sudden rush of foot prints rapidly approached and she made her way to the window.

She seethed, clenching her teeth.

Several Corsec Officer ships could be seen below.

"This is really bad!" She tore away from the view.

"I'm in a tight spot- You're in a tight spot- We're in a really damn tight spot!"

"WHOAH!" Castor cried out, putting himself between the barrel of Polux's shatter gun and Echo's body. His external comms were on.

"Let's not get hasty here bro. Why would she come back up here if she had killed him huh? Plus, I think she's a nice person."

Castor looked through the window Echo had pointed out and saw the same corsec ships.
"Right....well I'm sure if we just wait here and explain to the police what happened....everything will be perfectly alright."

" They will not listen brother. "

Polux said as he lowered his shatter gun and peered out the window for a moment. By the look of them the police forces storming the building looked ready for war, several decked out in full riot gear.

" I can feel their intent to murder from here, there will be no negotiations... "

As he spoke Polux made his way back to the door of the room they were all in, he stopped at the door way with shatter gun drawn and waited for his brother to join him. Although he would dislike it greatly, there was a high possibility he would be forced to kill many officers of the law to escape the situation he and his brother had been thrust into.

Bringing his skulled helmet to bear on Echo, Polux spoke to her directly for the first time.

" Do you have transport near this building? "

Alarmed by his sudden address of her Echo, shook her head, eyes locked on the red glowing eyes of the larger brother's helmet.

"Dai Fel's ship is walking distance on the ground level of here. if we can get down I have access to it! My real concern is that his-"

"What the hell is going on?"

A gruff voice broke in from the door way.

Four men had arrived looking for answers but they had little to do with the law enforcers seeking the same. Clad in scant armor protecting their torsos but no helmet to hide their identities...Dai Fel's men had arrived, either alarmed by the push of a panic button on his person or a dead man's switch they had been informed.

"where is he?" Demanded a Kiffar with a red Brand; as he spoke he raised his gun, causing a chain reaction in the others to do the same as they entered the room.

"Blood, man...There's blood all over the damn place!" Cursed a human in their company as he gestured with the nose of his gun at the puddle near the entrance. The remaining two, another Kiffar branded yellow and a rodian Kept their eyes and blasters on the hunters as the leading Kiffar made his way to the bedroom, calling after his boss.

"Who are you?" demanded the Rodian

"what have you done?"

Castor put his hands up, "Now this isn't what it looks like." He looked around at all the blood, "I know it looks like we just brutally murdered your boss and spread his body across this room. But we didn't." He placed his rifle nonchalantly over his shoulder, "And besides, if we did....would you really want to mess with us?"

Castor was trying to avoid a fight, the less deaths the better their situation would be. He used internal comms to contact his brother, "Now, stay calm bro...they might leave...."

The Kiffar had obviously not been fully aware of his surroundings, as he had totally missed Polux as he guarded the doorway. Ignoring his brothers plee for peace, Polux instictivly brought his shatter rifle to bare, and blew the Kiffars head into a red mist.

The now headless body slumped lifeless to the floor, adding further to the already large pool of blood that had coated the room. The bark from the shatter rifle fireing would surely alert the other thugs who had entered the hotel room.

Polux would stay by the doorframe, waiting for the other criminals to enter.

With the sound of their comrade's death, two of the men (the human and the rodian) rushed the door way, ready to open fire upon whoever was responsible. The first (rodian) hesitated upon seeing the downed corpse while the other emerged with his heart in his mouth and his trigger finger itchy.

"The hotel! Top floor! Dai'fell's dead! The chick brought bounty hunters!" reported the red marked kiffar as he turned back into the hall, his wrist communicator pressed close to his mouth as he broke into a cold sweat.

Castor just let out a sigh, "Oh c'mon.....we gotta sort out that trigger itch you have...one day it's gonna get us killed." Castor sucked up his feelings about the people they were facing.....especially because it seemed like they weren't that bad from the vibes he was getting......

He decided to compromise and raised his rifle, shooting the rodian that emerged through the door in the hand, effectively disarming him, and then taking out the poor SOB's two kneecaps, sending him crashing to the ground and then into unconsciousness due to pain.

"well c'mon then, let's get moving!" He shouted through the comms.
