Street gangs. Everywhere someone went on almost any city-world, there were street gangs or swoop gangs. Either of them meant bad news for civilians and more needed credits spent on fighting them off. Either or, they just meant bad news all around. A waste of everyone's time and money. Something that the general population considered meaningless.

And yet,

to those who were in a street gang or swoop gang, it meant everything. The freedom to do whatever you please without fear of being punished by the law. Without worry of being considered good or bad by the public eye; because you were bad in everyone's eye. You broke the law, you stole, you murdered, you... Did things. But not just the members understood that; those who grew up around it did too. So when someone was thrown into an organization that taught you to be a mindless ****ing drone for the rest of your life and hope you were powerful enough to kill a council member one day, the lifestyle you grew up with sounded more and more appealing. It didn't help that with power like that, you were a god among men.

For Rex, that was exactly what his thoughts were. The unfortunate thing was that when he returned, he knew no one. People that tormented him were already dead, his friends either dead or gone from that world, and his home turned into an abandoned safehouse for gangs. It sucked. He had to admit, however, it was better than what he was in. If he was going to learn and get stronger, it would be in reality. He kept his faith where it belonged, and his mind on high alert. He would have to catch the eye of something big to take him in, to make him vanish from the known universe and become a part of an organization that was the same and yet different from these loose mobs called gangs.

As he walked through the streets, he kept his mask on. He didn't want his face widely known. He liked the mystery. He knew it wouldn't be long, though; someone was going to recognize him. He just hoped it wouldn't be in a fight. He kept his lightstaff close to his hand just in case...

Walking around alone, Zextripon made his way across the place. With thoughts of find a good place to rest, Zextripon had to clear out his thoughts. With his robes, he made sure to hide his lightsaber and his face. The last thing he would want to happen is to found out as a force-sensitive Chiss. Every now and then, he looked around to get to know his surroundings. He accidentally walked into Rex. "Watch yourself. I would be more careful where you are walking if I was you." Zextripon said that in a deep tone. He observed Rex carefully, and determined that he was no threat.

As Rex made his way through the crowd, someone bumped into him, pushing him back a few steps. "Watch yourself. I would be more careful where you are walking if I was you." Said a hooded figure, his tone deep and angry. Unfortunately, Rex's knee-jerk reaction to anger is anger itself. It took a few moments, but he calmed himself down enough to speak in a calm tone. He wasn't going to be as ignorant as his peers at the academy. He adjusted his robes and prepared to walk away until he felt a strong force presence emanting from this guy. It was hidden, but a crusader would be able to pick it up. He didn't feel... Entirely Sith, though.

"I'd say the same to you. What's a mild-drinker doing in this part of the city?" He asked. He held nothing back; insult or compliment. It was his way to test the strong and weak, those who would react without thinking and those who would let the small comments pass by without flinching. In his opinion, only the ones who didn't care about comments or insults from a stranger was the stronger one, and one deserving of his time whether in the cantinas or in a duel. It was how he grew up, the culture that he was used to. The culture of those who were strong physically and mentally.

"A mild-drinker you say? I don't drink." Zextripon got a little wary about Rex. He was having bad thoughts. He might as well just reveal who he is. "I am Zextripon. A Chiss male." He spoke in a deeper, more furious tone. He had a bad suspicion that Rex might know the ways of the Force. If so, Zextripon would want to avoid a fight at all costs.

A Chiss. Rex knew about their race. They were rare and secluded. Even rarer still; a Chiss force adept. He knew then that there was a darkness in this one that could very much rival his own. However, he could tell this person was a bit scared of him. Perhaps he wasn't sure of his skill? He knew the rumors and the reputation the Sith had, even a former one; Ruthless warriors that reside in secluded darkness and wretched evil. A people who were as fierce in battle as they were powerful in the force. He didn't blame anyone for fearing a Sith. The universe knew the power of a Jedi and feared that enough, but a Jedi gone dark? That was a nightmare in the making.

"Zextripon, eh? For a being that belongs to such a rare and desired race, you really don't have a sense of secrecy, do you? That lack of confidence I sense in you could get you killed as well in a world like this. The gangs of the lower city spare no mercy if they're able to take you down," Rex said. Behind his mask, he cocked a sly half-smile. An entertaining idea popped in his head; why not take this guy down to one of those gangs and take them out? No one would know who did it, and perhaps something would be born out of it. Who knew? Besides, if they were seen clearing them out, the public would see them as heroes. Who would suspect an outlaw or even a Chiss? The best way to fly under the radar was to be in plain sight, right? Where no one would expect to look.

"Why not come with me? You say you're capable enough, or at least that's what comes to mind when I look at you, so why not put that skill to the test?" He offered. He moved his robe to the side a bit to give a small glimpse of his lightstaff. He needed a good fight anyways.

Instead of following him, Zextripon stayed put. He used Force Grab to pick up and turn Rex around. "I am not going anywhere. I don't fear anybody. My confidence is better than most Chiss." Increasing to a furious tone, Zextripon ignited his crimson lightsaber. "If you wish to fight, do it here and now."

He felt the firm grip of the force close in around his body and attempt to turn him, but his own will was stronger than that. He wasn't one to take shit. As the Chiss spoke, he pulled his lightsaber to his hand with the force and ignited a single blade. The red glow bounced off of the crowd around them, whose attention was immediately drawn. He supposed that was the end of a potential plan to keep under the radar. He spun the blade until it rested in reverse-grip. Perhaps now would be as good a time as any to test the strength of his metal.

"Kid, this is a mistake. Picking fights with complete strangers... Perhaps you've never felt the pain a Sith has to offer," he said. Without hesitation, he boosted his movements with the force, adding blinding speed. He ended up behind his adversary, striking at his waist. As he swung the blade, he used the force to add an extra burst of strength behind the blow, making it harder to deflect. In his free hand, a charge of force lightning laid ready to strike when it was time. He wouldn't hold back. Not after what he had been through.

With a Force Jump, Zextripon avoided a bisect at his waist. He saw the Force Lightning charge in Rex's hand. He wasn't willing to take the hit. With another Force Grab, Zextripon threw Rex at a building, sending him crashing against the wall. He then came up close and clashed his lightsaber. "A former Sith, eh? I don't fear the Sith nor the Jedi."

"You'll learn to fear me," Rex said, again resisting the force telekinesis with his own force strength. He raised his lightsaber up, catching his opponent's blade as it came swinging down. He quickly unleashed a burst of energy to push him back as he ignited the second blade of his lightsaber and unclipped the middle, making it into two separate sabers. The lightning charge in his free hand quickly traveled to the lightsaber, giving it an extra boost of power. Once that lightsaber made contact with his, it would send the strikes of lightning down through it and to him, paralyzing him for a few seconds. It was just the advantage he needed.

He spun the first blade around, swinging it down as if to strike at the head, while the other blade, the charged one, went to his leg. Either or, if he didn't make contact, he would trick his foe into thinking he left them an opening. That was another advantage for him. If the sith taught him one thing, it was that deception worked best with the deceptive. Slowly but surely, he could feel the rage building up. The fight was heating, and it was fueling him. If he needed to, he would draw the force out of some of those spectating. It would be a necessary steal. He wasn't backing down, nor was he going out easily.

"Have you ever come face to face with a Jedi of the first era? Or even a Sith from the first era? You've never faced true power until you've crossed blades with one of them. Your lightsaber work is mere child's play compared to what I've seen, Chiss," he said, egging on his anger. To him, it was yet another advantage to set up. Get the foe so angered that he swings wildly, not caring what he hits. It makes one easier to subdue.

Zextripon clearly took the paralysing hit well, yet didn't go down, but felt a light shock. With a slow, but steady jump, Zextripon used Force Push to send Rex flying backwards. The fight was escalating and Zextripon wasn't willing to die or give up now. "My lightsaber work is no child's play. I don't fear you. I don't even fear the most worst Sith to fear." Zextripon knew that deception couldn't fight deception. He used an ability that he had no knowledge at all of how to use and it's effects, Mind Trick. He used it to make himself look like many, which could give Zextripon the advantage.

Rex was pushed back into the crowd. He could've stopped it, but chose not to. When he stood, ready for the next attack, he noticed his attacker was nowhere to be found. Trying to blend in, eh? We'll se how far this gets you, he thought to himself. He then put up mental barriers to shield his thoughts. Using the force, he masked his pressence to make him appear like everyone else, then used his own mind trick to make him appear as a simple vendor making his way across the surface.

He vanished from the battle site and weaved through the crowds, aware of everyone around him. Only a powerful crusader or a master would be able to detect him. As he continued, he noticed a few guys dressed in green and black shoving through the crowd. Their eyes rested on a woman passing by. The next instant, one of them pulled a blaster out and shot her dead. Immediately, a gunfight broke out, with them spraying shots randomly. It was the perfect oppertunity.

He ran, making himself look like any other frightened civilian there, and hid inside one of the abandoned factories by the streets. He kept himself disguised, but then vanished into the shadows where he completely hid his appearance, thoughts, and pressence using the force. There was no way anyone would find him unless they physically ran into him.

What he detected next took him by surprise; a presence he was all-too familiar with. A young lady dressed in black with a hood over her head emerged from the shadows on the opposite side of the room. Two lightsaber hilts were attached to her hips. It was the only crusader he ever knew who was demoted from the rank of master; asuka trang. She outmatched him in most aspects.

"Come out, Rex. This hiding is pointless. A sith doesn't cower from a fight," she said. He remained silent. "Very well. If you refuse-

Rex interrupted her, but used the force to throw his voice in another direction, "why would i listen to a 'would-be' master?"

"Watch your tongue. I'm here to make sure you don't get yourself killed like a moron." She shot back.

"Then perhaps you should watch your own. My adversary is fairly cunning," Rex admitted. He felt as though he was giving too much credit, though.

"Then let him come here. I simply want to watch. I want to see if I made the right choice in the both of you, whether you would be appropriate for the chapter," she said. With that, she too vanished into the shadows, and left Rex to ponder. He never failed to remain invisible in all aspects, though. His mind was still in the fight.

Zextripon clearly noticed that the Mind Trick wasn't really working out for him. He followed the scent of Rex to the building he was in. Once he saw him, and locked his eyes with him, Zextripon used Force Choke. "I won't let you get away with this."

OOC: Sorry I took so long to post, I am currently developing an indie and I need to focus on that.
