DESCRIPTION
Siria Zale has owned the star yacht known as the Kirian for well over two decades. The starship is perhaps one of if not her most prized possession. It acts as a little home away from home when traveling among the stars and provides a sense of comfort no matter the woman's location. Indeed she even talks to the ship and treats it like a friend or beloved steed or pet.
The starship was first commissioned by Siria Zale's father for his own use. But through a card game with a merchant prince he came into possession of a minstrel class space yacht which he would instead use for his own purposes. The starship made for himself was adjusted to become a birthday present for Siria Zale when she graduated school and became old enough to earn a pilot's license. Siria was given the authority to name the ship and she chose Kirian, after the third planet in the Tirahnn system.
The mantis class star yacht has been modified over the years out of a desire to improve its capabilities and out of necessity due to sustained damage. While danger is ever present, a star yacht is not the best ship to fight battles. Siria has focused on maximizing the S-161's main characteristics and dispensing with things like the medium laser cannons in exchange for faster engines. Furthermore, she has modified the engines to allow for her to take the limiters off. The Kirian is then able to outpace even some of the galaxy's fastest starfighters with a max speed of 100 MGLT.
With speed being the Kirian's main defense, it also continues to have a class 1 hyperdrive that can help it get in and out of tight spots. If this should become unpowered or damaged then the Kirian possesses a backup class 5 hyperdrive that is usually turned off to keep it from overloading from a coincidental power surge and to maximize energy efficiency. This is needed since the ship also possesses impressive shields that are another layer of defense should an attacker manage to land a hit on the leisure vessel.
The interior of the ship is as comfortable as one might expect. Even after decades of ownership, some of which the ship saw little to no use, the Kirian looks almost as good as the day it was made. A compact machine shop allows Siria to tinker with her belongings whether they be her NalPhone, one of her droids, or parts of the ship. A separate medical bay allows the woman to assist to a small degree with humanitarian aid and keep herself healthy on the frontier of the galaxy. While accompanied by a protocol droid or bodyguard, the ship has an integrated S3 ship A.I. suite. The A.I. acts as co-pilot for the ship owner and supports her actions when in dicey situations.
LEGALITY
Legal at the surface level. Luxury yachts like the S-161 are considered innocuous enough under most jurisdictions, and are not restricted in most systems. The only modification that is illegal is the de-limited thrusters that is difficult to notice.INTENT

Due to the very high power requirements of the S-161's sublight engines and precision engineering, any aftermarket modification that lowers MGLT doubles that penalty. This is also a one of a kind ship.
