Before becoming Sith Alicia had never really thought deeply about the intricacies of connections between people. Yet one of her early lessons when learning the ways of the dark side was that the Force connected all things together. It was through meditation and experience that she gleamed new perspective on her life beforehand.

Combine them with the harsh realities of becoming Sith and Alicia had formed cogent views on life; her relationships with others; and opinions on deep subjects such as the intricacies of the Sith code which- when applied to her life- gave her an epiphanies on what were true and what was not true.

In essence the only thing she really believed in at this point was the Sith code itself. Everything else was just noise.

"So we are agreed then," Alicia smiled coyly. "And now you know what happened to Dylus. Do you have anything else to say?"

"No, I do not," Verse said in a monotone. She nodded her head and started to walk away when she heard a commotion from the ground. She walked back over to the balcony edge and leaned over the ledge. "It seems an acolyte is having delusions of grandeur. He is shouting at the other acolytes, and trying to Force-choke some of them. There are a couple already unconscious." she said nonchalantly as if the problem was just an annoying bug that needed to be smacked off.

Alicia watched Verse leave her momentarily with a look of bemusement. When the Arkanian made up an excuse to turn back around and join her again it clicked that Verse hadn't approached her to really talk about Dylus at all but rather wanted to talk to her instead.

Deciding to play along with the ruse she turned to look down at the Acolytes. The one doing the bullying was someone she didn't personally know but recognised what they were doing nevertheless. It was an act to make themselves feel powerful and she knew that the people they were bullying were not going to do anything back. They were the weakest of the Force-sensitives brought here to Korriban. Each powerful enough in the Force to become Sith if they wanted too. You don't end up in the Korriban Academy unless you had talent. But they weren't broken enough yet.

Not willing to do the necessary things Sith were capable of.

"I am sure he is having fun. Personally I never felt the need to do that to others."

Verse nodded. "One displays how powerful one is not by trying to prove something consciously, but by doing things unconsciously. Those actions are easier to judge truthfully. One's opinion of oneself does not matter in the grand scheme of things." she said, keeping her focus on the Acolytes below. She watched as another Acolyte jumped the delusional Acolyte, tackling him to the ground and smashing his head upon it. Some of his friends cheered while others rolled their eyes and turned away in disgust, going back to what they had been doing.

Alicia found herself in disagreement once again with Tillo. "The opinion of yourself is the most important thing. Far more important then the opinions of friends, relatives or associates. Everyone will have their opinion of you but only you know yourself better then anyone else."

She observed the beat down as she spoke. "Consider what we are watching even now. That boy thought himself stronger then all those other boys. He beat them, choked them... It stirred them into action. Now as he lays there- being beaten down by those who, perhaps individually, are not his equal- he begins to learn that provocation of the mob is not wise. That the weak always band together on those individually stronger then them. But what he hasn't learned is that the strong can also be cunning."

"Through strength I gain power,"
Alicia whispered to herself.

"Through power, I gain victory, and through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free," Verse finished the Sith code. "One should never underestimate the weak if they are not alone," Verse continued. That fit in her case- her parents had been killed because she was too weak to stop it, and she had been alone. When she got her revenge, she would not be weak and she would not be alone.

Alicia listened to the code and nodded in appreciation. "So I take it then you are not alone?"

"I am not, I just recently acquired an apprentice who shows great promise." Verse replied.

"I would like to meet them."

Alicia leaned away from the balcony having lost interest in what was happening below it. She checked the chrono on her wrist for the time. It was still some days from the transport that she knew would be arriving with fresh Acolytes or those sent to Korriban from other academies across the Empire. She had planned to commandeer the vessel by convincing it's pilot to bring her to a space station where she could begin her long journey to Chandrila.

But leaving earlier was preferable and if this Arkanian had a student then Alicia assumed that they also had the means of transportation.

"She is off-world at the moment but I was planning on calling her back soon, " Verse said. She wondered how the girl would take to Alicia.

"Why were you re-calling her to Korriban?" Alicia asked, curious.

"To continue her training," Verse replied, reaching out through the Force as she spoke. She could feel Sola's presence in the Force, albeit barely. She hadn't gone too far. She mentally poked Sola with the Force. The girl would know what to do.

"How traditional."

Alicia raised a hand and gestured around her. "This building- and this entire world- is older then the Empire that we were trained to serve. It's old. Archaic. A monument to a past that we know little about." This time it was her turn to reach out with the Force. She reached out into her surroundings and felt very little. The dark side might have been strong here once upon a time. Eons ago when it was rumoured a race of aliens once lived here. But it wasn't anymore.

"Imagine the possibilities that are out there in the Galaxy. Places that aren't broken like the people who are brought here to learn the ways of the Sith. Think of the people that you could meet, talk too and perhaps even learn from who are strong, and powerful. The men and women who control things certainly are not here. I do not know where the Dark Lord lives, or the Empress, or any of the Sith or others who serve them in their positions of power. All I know is that they are out there."

"Reverence for the past is a foolish gambit. There isn't anything here on Korriban. Take your Apprentice elsewhere. Somewhere they won't be tainted by the people who here right now."

There was an air of truth to what Alicia was telling Verse. She believed every word of it. But the conviction she was portraying wasn't because she really cared if the Arkanian before her took her words in and begun teaching whoever it was she was calling an Apprentice. No, the goal was to merely convince Verse to head to wherever this Apprentice was, and along the way, convince Verse to bring her to somewhere that would set her on the path to Chandrila.

Verse raised an eyebrow, sensing an ulterior motive to Alicia's passionate speech. "If you want a ride off Korriban, you need only ask." Verse said, an amused smile crossing over her features. "What would you offer in return," she said, ready to bargain.

"What do you want?"

Alicia didn't bother to try and hide the fact that she wanted off Korriban. She suspected that Verse was aware that she was trying to leave the planet before coming to her to talk about Dylus. She also didn't want to offend the woman. If she could provide an earlier means of travel then denying as such would be counter-productive to what Alicia desired and she knew- from her experiences with Dylus- that those who rose to the position of Champion in the Sith Order were quick to being offended.

Any excuse to raise a Lightsaber and show their dominance was something that Alicia Drey was never going to be quick to give to her rivals or potential associates which is what Verse would become by proxy of the fact that she had provided her a service. If Verse could do this small penitence once then it provided reasoning that there were other things she would be willing to do as well.

But in return for what was the question?

"Nothing much, just put in a good word for me whenever you interact with other Sith," she said. That sounded fair to her- and both of their goals were satisfied; Verse's goal to gain higher contacts, and Alicia's goal to get off this forsaken planet.

That is an odd request.

Alicia nodded and for the first in the conversation with Verse a sad smile crept over her pale face. "I would like to be taken to a station where I can take transport towards the Core. Do you know anywhere like that?"

"I can take you to a station near Dathomir. Would that work?" she asked. Dathomir was a major planet close to the edge of Sith space, and there were many options to travel to wherever she needed from there.

"We have an accord then."

Alicia had heard stories about Dathomir before. It was said to be powerful in the Force. That tribes of women whom called themselves the Witches of Dathomir lived with enslaved men and rode beasts that sounded more like fiction from horror tales. She had always meant to visit the world at some point but she didn't expect to head there whilst looking for means to head down to the Core.

"When do we depart?"

"Whenever you are ready; I have no business to attend to. I will need to take a ship other than my own, since there is only room for one person." Verse said. She was considering staying on Dathomir, and training Sola there- letting her meet the Witches of Dathomir, the fabled tribes of women who lived on the planet.
