A cold shiver ran down young Baldr Sigurd's spine as he set foot on the grounds of Count Vemec's ancestral home. He could see the decrepit mansion in the distance, for though it was late in the night the moon shone brightly. The moonlight sparked off broken windows and various metal oddments strewn about the grounds. It almost appeared as if a tornado or some other such natural disaster had wrought the havoc about the ancient building.

Baldr nervously brushed his wrists against the hilts of his sabers, checking that they were still clipped securely to his belt. Something in the air here made the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. He could feel the Force moving insidiously about the place, and wasn't sure what to expect. He had heard the tales, of course, and knew how powerful the owner of this estate had been in life. What would be left of that power? The young Sith was willing to do anything to find out and take what he could of it for himself.

With that thought in mind, he set his jaw with determination and strode confidently forward - towards the crumbling mansion.

@Six @Richie B. @Dmitri

@Wit I hope it was okay to post. The mission pack seemed to just be sitting there, so I thought I'd be proactive!

The Doctor had listened to the request of the so-called Beggar Queen, and had accepted the summons to investigate. Unlike the other more combat-capable members of this expedition, he had been enlisted for a different reason. Due to his past with the original Sith Eternal, with ties to the Sith Lords such as Darth Tyranus. When Darth Sidious died, his spirit materialized not at Endor but at Exegol when the ritual was complete. With suspicions on the darkness enseminating the Serenno area, a paranoid Warden pondered the possibility of Darth Tyranus having been resurrected too, source of the darkness. The Doctor had not been involved directly with Darth Sidious' alchemical resurrection ritual, but familiar enough to be able to identify it. If the Sith Eternal could reclaim these lost arts, they could potentially have the final tool to stop the Jedi once and for all.

The Doctor, as he followed Baldr, observed his teammates. Baldr was the youngest, and the most to prove, along with being the most unfamiliar to The Doctor. He knew the others, however. Malleus had undergone surgery following an incident with a Padawan; while he hadn't been involved directly, he had provided consultation. The Doctor wasn't sure if Malleus knew of his contribution, or would even care; not that the Doctor would, in honesty. Rakim Hsin, ironically, The Doctor knew better, but not through the Sith. When Hsin was a pirate, The Doctor had done business with Hsin's pirate gang, typically to buy prisoners the pirates had captured, to restock his supply of humanoid test subjects. The pirate crew had been paid well, so hopefully Hsin had a decent opinion on him; not that they knew the purpose of his purchases were (though with Hsin's indoctrination into the Sith Eternal and The Doctor's reputation within the Eternal, the ex. pirate could probably put two and two together).

The Doctor faced his compatriots. "What do we know about this Count Vemec and the recent corruption that has propagated here?" Unlike the others, he had not been personally debriefed by the Beggar Queen as the others, having been recruited through other means.
