The Sorkorak came out of hyperspace well outside of the orbit of Scarif. The looming nature of the immense Star Destroyer struck fear in the hearts of systems all over the galaxy. There was a sort of stoic beauty to the absolute terror that the vessel bore. It represented the sheer might of Imperial power and the will to utilize it anywhere at any time. This was the way of the Empire and the right of the Sith Masters who ruled over it. It was the way that they enforced that upon the galaxy and it was nearly impossible for anyone to challenge them when they came to call.

Commander Venthis Habrak looked over the increasingly bright star in the sky that was Scarif, a world upon which a super weapon had been tested centuries ago. It's strategic use was considered essential, and thus they had sent Commander Habrak to assist in it's seizure.

Pirates and brigands ruled the space until that point. But now, with the arrival of the destroyer, it belonged to the Empire once more.

This mission was not Venthis' alone, in fact it could be said it was not his at all. The mission belonged to Acolyte Altan.

Venthis vessel was graced with the presence of a young dark-sider that represented the new Empress interests on behalf of the Sith. It was an incredible honor for Venthis, to lend his command in the aid of education and experience of this powerful figure that may one day be at the forefront of the Empire.

"Acolyte Altan." Venthis spoke as the two looked out at the system before them. He gave a deep customary bow to the Acolyte, but he did not kneel. Kneeling was customary for a Lord or Lady of the Sith. An acolyte was to be given the same courtesy of a planetary noble, which would place his status in that moment higher than anyone on the ship. "Scans show a great deal of pirate activity in the region. The brigands operate a makeshift fleet of fighters and corvettes, and there is little telling how many of them may be inside the station. Has the Empress given you instructions on how we are to proceed?"

Personally, as excited as he was over getting to explore around a real Star Destroyer, Sol still thought bringing one to clear out an orbital station felt like overkill. 'Course that wasn't his decision. Not his ship. It was instead captained by one Officer Habrak.

Despite wearing an
Imperial uniform for the mission, Sol barely counted as 'military' by his own humble estimation. Apparently he was some degree of 'in charge'. Venthis' general demeanor of deference and respect weirded Sol out, the deep bow leaving him silently staring at the man from behind his helmet. With any luck, he'd just look stoically calm rather than bewildered.

Sol nodded as part of a shallow bow and projected a simple
'Commander' back telepathically. Three syllables were around his limit. As for the Empress' instructions, he was once again glad for his helmet, as his eyebrows were being very rude behind the dark visor. Vex had the Empress' orders, and Vex passed down Sol's. Which basically amounted to 'Clear it out'. Soleil jerked his head toward a holomap projector and strode over to plan.

Rather than try and explain a proposed plan bit-by-bit or through sign language, the Wrean acolyte moved things around on the map. The Star Destroyer would be picked up on sensors if they got much closer, which Sol guessed would mean patrols or raiders would get called back and make everything more difficult.
'Jam comms' he said to Habrak before poking the map to illustrate a planned approach vector that kept them behind the planet's sensor shadow as long as possible. This step was followed by scrambling fighters and engaging whatever pirate vessels were around, tying them up so assault teams could board and secure checkpoints.

Old Imperial archive copies had been very useful for the internal station plans.

The Acolyte was quiet and deliberate. Venthis appreciated that. He had spent far too much time around bickering officers and those that sought to debate and discuss things without end. While Venthis was in command of the vessel the Acolyte bore the true mission. The Acolyte had everything to gain here should he perform well in this task. It was Venthis who could simply lose some degree of station or status in this should they fail.

But that was not an option, nor was his station or standing something he cared about greatly. Serving the Empire was his greatest honor and duty.

Venthis understood the plan well, and made no additional suggestion. The amount of firepower brought to bare was a clear demonstration of Imperial dominion and purpose, and they would accomplish their goals swiftly.

"It will be done, Acolyte."

Venthis immediately set out executing the plan. The Sorkorak sent out jamming signals on all but their own frequencies. Pilots were sent to the hangers to start pre flight procedures. Assault troopers were readied and sent to board transports in anticipation of a boarding action. And the mighty vessel itself was put on a path to mask their approach.

The crew of the destroyer worked with exquisite pace and proficiency. Venthis only had to oversee the operation from where he stood, but ultimately the drills conducted daily paid dividents in full.

Fighters were beginning to be released as they approached range, three flights. No demand for surrender was given. They had already identified this position as hostile, and alerting them to their purpose would likely cause them to start destroying any valuable data.

At last Commander Habrak looked at the Acolyte. "The station will soon be in range of our assault shuttles, Acolyte. I will have one stand by should you wish to join in the assault personally. Should you leave now they will be ready to launch when you arrive."

Venthis was not dictating the Acolyte participate, but many Sith in his experience enjoyed the thrill of battle personally. More fighters would escort the assault ships should he join the assault, as the last thing that would happen today was the Acolyte being killed in transit to an enemy position.
