The meeting ended very favorable and Jacien was called away on an immediate emergency mission. One thing followed the next and in a short while almost 8 weeks past. Jacien on her last mission had teamed up with a close friend of XEL and they were on their way back nobody has heard or seen XEL soon since he left the Cantina the evening that Jacien met with the lieutenant governor. Jicelli would now start negotiating equipment upgrades and be Jacien's handler well she attempted to infiltrate the underworld on Spinghar eight weeks was too long she was concerned for Xel.

Jicelli's journey with Jacien to Spinghar was one she wasn't entirely sure of. Regardless, she was there now and there wasn't any sense in ditching on their plans. For all she was concerned, they were looking for a specific person and that'd hopefully settle their trip. Hopefully.

Upon their arrival to the spaceport, Jicelli double checked herself and verified she did have her blaster in her bag. She'd only used it a few times for practice, and hoped she wouldn't have to use it here for any reason. Once confident in herself, she'd finish up whatever needed to be done on her part before readying to join the other on their mission. It was evident she was nervous, the Pantoran almost constantly adjusting their bag or jacket for whatever the reason.

After packing all the necessary equipment in a large set of suitcases and placing them on a repulsor lift Jacien then lead Jicelli to one of the finer establishments on Spinghar. After checking in to a suite with adjoining rooms Jacien was glad when the hotel concierge finally arrived at the room. Looking at his name tag Jacien spoke to him like he was an old friend and introduced Jicelli. She advised the concierge that Jicelli was here and would be negotiating several contracts on behalf of the Protectorate. She asked if He would be so kind as to provide additional security and ensure the runners that were used were trustworthy. She placed a 500 credit chip in his hand and he handed her a com link saying the Lady can contact ma any time 32 hours a day. She will need a runner after 2nd meal. Preferably male 12 to 14 years old who knows his way around the tech sector in the craftsmen who work in that area. As an afterthought Jacien added she will also need a tailor I seem to have misplaced a couple of her bags.""Yes ma'am," said the concierge who then turned and let himself out of the room. Grinning Jacien looked to Jicelli and said " I frequently make things up on the spur of the moment I'm glad that you're able to roll with it. I do know that we are looking for tech we always want a prototype plus the plans we may or may not have them make the rest but we always pay well for what we do receive. So here is a data pad with an account. there's approximately 10 million credits available in that account spend what you need to remember when you're dealing with the craftsman that you need only tell them you need to have it countersigned. Be generous with your runners by selecting what I did they most likely will all fall in love with you so they'll be willing to give you additional information and services that might be otherwise difficult to locate." Finished Jacien.

It was certainly an interesting place. Yet, her mind was preoccupied with other thoughts. Even though she politely greeted those they spoke with, she was hardly paying attention. It was only when she was directly addressed that Jicelli snapped back into reality. It took her a moment to remember what they were doing, but even then she was confused.

"I uh, sorry. Forgot what we were doing--What am I supposed to be looking for?"

She knew what she wanted to look for, however whether or not that was going to be a primary focus was yet to be known.

Jason knew her companion was distracted and figured what better use them to put her to work. Saying "let's get all of these mouse and insect droids operational and the computer uplink and monitor assembled we should probably put them in my room since you're going to have Tailors coming here to meet you." I will be doing the fieldwork on this assignment and you will need to monitor my transmissions. We will use the droids to get a detailed map of Spinghar created and hopefully locate Xel in the process. My first priority will be to see if we can locate his ship and that will give us an idea as to where to go from there. During the time I'm in the field you will also have to negotiate some deals with the local craftsmen. The protectorate is looking for combat droids and or other unique tech. I opened the initial lines a few months ago and they came through in a matter of weeks with over 1000 space deployed prob droids. We don't care where the technology comes from so long as it works well.

Jicelli hated how she didn't pay complete attention this time. At least there was some reassurance in the words. It was still quite embarrassing to keep losing track of things. She really only wanted to focus on finding her friend, let alone the rest of what they were present to do.

"Tailors? Sorry if I seem so disconnected, just didn't focus at first. I'm no business expert but uh...Shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully? Again, apologies if I'm not suited for this--Just getting mixed up."

"First let's get our little spies in th field and see if they can help. As far as the droids we want to acquire 1000 similar to the RZX-637 Endbringers and 1000 similar to the XT-02S Saber guards would be a nice start. The details are on this data pad, It also appears we are looking for something capable of providing protection against EMP's. Then you will need to buy several dresses and several business suits we need somebody to handle negotiations with long-term possibilities in mind. Make use of your runners have them bring you the best in their fields, also the concierge will be invaluable for obtaining normal services I will take care of him.In addition to obvious credits we also have a large stock piles of material that can be traded as well. Those available items are also listed on the data pad. "Jacien paused then continued," it is my responsibility to track down Xel and to deal with the government. I know that we left 50 soldiers here last time I was here to help augment and upgrade the local security force I will be checking on them and determining what type of intelligence they may have for us as well." Finished Jacien. I suppose the most important job you have at present this to make sure that if we lose contact you immediately notify the Protectorate will have and we will have 500 Wardens here to tear this place apart in a matter of hours.

Jicelli looked over the datapad's information as Jacien spoke, verifying what was mentioned. It seemed simple enough at first, but was still something that put her off. Honestly she rather just focus on the negotiating part of the trip than the business side. Then came the part of the mission regarding Xel, where'd she couldn't help but disagree with the role assignment. It seemed almost as if she was just being sidelined when to her she needed to be more direct.

"So, basically oversee and confirm the purchase of some droids, something for EMP's, and uh...Some fancy clothing? All while also preparing a monitoring setup for the search to find Xel right? Why can't I come with directly to help find him? Sitting somewhere won't really help that much. I-I mean, I'm not a fighter but he is my friend. I don't feel it's that efficient for me to just sit somewhere and wait, you know?"

" Good for you!" chuckled Jacien . "I have been waiting for you to tell me what you wanted to do. You will find especially in the outer rim females are often overlooked Unless they have the ability to speak up for themselves.
Today we can get you dressed appropriately for an agent of the Protectorate who is negotiating trade deals and making an official inquiry into one of our missing people. The security guard that the concierge will get you will assist you in going to all of the legitimate places for conducting such an inquiry like our embassy the police chief any other government official including the Port Authority you have to be the face of the Protectorate that people want to approach I will work the underworld area the low class where it is more likely to be extremely violent. In truth what I'm hoping to find is that for some reason XEL decided to leave on his own and just didn't bother to tell us. And if I find out he did that that ship of his will not be big enough for him to hide in," finished Jacien

"Wel, I....Alright, I got it. Though I highly doubt Xel just left us for no good reason."

At least she'd get to do something in the matter, though she still had to get used to the whole meet-and-greet aspect of things. It'd go just fine, she was sure of that. Jicelli figured the chances of the negotiations going absolutely awful were slim, and that the people here would more than likely be willing to actually agree to something. Anyway--Time for business.

"Alright, so what's first? The probes or whatever need to be setup first correct?"

The afternoon flew by the tailors got there and were extremely professional and brought with them a selection of ready-made clothes and took measurements to custom build a few dresses and the items necessary for Jicelli's hideout weapons. The runners were dispatched as Jacien predicted both of the boys immediately fell in love . Armed with invitation cards to bid the runners took off at TopSpeed. The first round of initial negotiations were set up for just before third meal. The concierge set up a conference room along with multiple data stations and buffet was set as a banquet side table. 16 different craftsman showed up with the appropriate qualifications to build the type of droids but after only two. Only two craftsmen showed who had any technology and or research pertaining to EMP protection. They were all charmed by Jicelli and more than willing to meet the three day time line to provide a Proto type as well as materials lists and technical schematics. The local security guard hired to act as Jicelli's bodyguard had made after hours appointments that would take most of the evening at the several different government bodies. As well as an appointment with the police chief the following afternoon.

The whole thing was certainly an exciting mix of events. Jicelli was, quite honestly, a tad overwhelmed at the hospitality shown to her. The formal attires were something she wasn't fully used to yet, but had to admit it was certainly much more fitting. She personally preferred things on the blue-side when it came to appearance, as it was in her mind more than just a peaceful color. The amount of thought put into the outfits was surprising, though she insisted personally that she'd keep her blaster in a small bag--A purse perhaps. She didn't feel comfortable carrying it around directly on her person, let alone at all, so she compromised with the bag idea.

The runners were very nice, almost too nice to the point where she was a tad embarrassed. Regardless, it was strictly business and so she treated it as such. Oh how tiring it was to oversee the transactions and deals that followed. It was important to be bright, but also professional in every meeting regardless of number. After all, she was meant to put on a good image for the Protectorate. While it all seemed to go smoothly Jicelli still felt under an immense amount of pressure.

It was soon time to meet with the governing bodies, to be followed last by the police chief. This was the hardest part in her opinion out of it all--Political figures. Her first mission with the Protectorate involved such, and it didn't quite end favorably. Well, it ended peacefully but they were denied their deal. That was before though, so she had every ounce of confidence she could muster ready for the upcoming meetings.

First, she had to make sure her companion was doing fine. Surely by now they'd be on their way looking for Xel right? She'd find herself a more quiet spot out of precaution before keying her comlink.

"Jacien? It's uh, Jicelli. Everything is alright on your end right? Anything come up for you?"

Thumbing her com link, Jacien said " there is a little more than pick pockets and sneak thieves to be found here. What was left of their slavery ring will be found by law-enforcement tomorrow. The condition of the pitmaster should probably be enough to discourage anyone else from trying to take up the mantle. From what I can tell there has been next to no pirate activity in the area since the Protectorate first started coming here. That does appear to have affected the amount of trade that has been going on, so we should be able to negotiate much easier now. I am hoping that the droids will have a complete map of Spinghar completed by the time I return. I am now working my way through the bars in and around the port authority perhaps I might get some information there. If I can manage it I will meet you at the Port Authority office. "Ah, great...Sounds like a wonderful time down there. Not serious of course!"

Yeah, sounded like an awful place. Now she was glad she didn't tag along there. Well, mostly.

"I'll see about meeting with you at the Port Authority Office, if I have the time. Should have enough, but anything could happen. There are a few small trade negotiations that may poke up soon, but the main events are government meetings. Those are coming up relatively soon."

With that said, she'd await a reply as she gives a brief check around herself. It'd be a fairly large interior, some kind of lobby. She'd have her escort nearby, eyeing the scattered clusters of conversation dotting the space. Jicelli had managed to confine herself on the less populated side of the lobby, more specifically at a column supporting the structure.

At the two cantinas where Xel was known both of the bartenders remembering him because of his frequent purchasing of rounds for the house and heavy tips for the bartenders said They had not seen him in about seven weeks.which would be about two weeks after both Jacien and Mal'goth had had to leave. Both bartenders had inquired into whether the Protectorate would be sending more troops and or tradesman. Both admitted that they preferred Protectorate troops to Pirates because the Pirates frequently did not settle up on their tabs and would use violence to get out of their bills. Both bartenders admitted that they would need somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 to 500 additional people on Spinghar to make up for the loss in business. Then Hurrying to meet Jicelli at the port authority Jacien considered this information and how it could be of use to the negotiations. She was glad to see Jicelli walking down the street just as she arrived at the port authority.
