Dawn turned to them and sat down on the warm sand beneath him, smoothing it out with his fingers as he crossed his legs calmly. He noticed the Jedi was acting quite protectively of his companion; it was no surprise, especially after how his colleagues so easily broke their ranks. He smiled at him as he spoke and almost laughed as the small telepathic note reached him, saying "Far from it. I'm exactly where I want to be. And I assure you, there's no need for bravery...I have never once killed a Jedi, nor do I possess the desire to."

He then turned to the somewhat idiotic non Force Sensitive who had called him "a thingie afraid of the sun." He had to admit; that line was pricelessly funny, at least to him. "Also...I believe the word you're looking for is Echani," he added dryly. He then casually reached into his pocket and brought out a chocolate-peanut butter candy bar, which he proceeded to munch on, hoping such a harmless gesture would at least ease any worries the two might have.

"How's the water?" He asked nonchalantly as he shrugged off his robe, revealing he had a t-shirt on and almost stupidly flamboyant swimming trunks as he proceeded to apply a thick layer of sunscreen everywhere his pale skin was exposed.

Jake was very confused by the stranger. He was not acting in a threating way. It was all most like he did not want to fight.

"Who, what are you, Sith are so full of emostion that they go in to fit every time they see a Jedi and dark Jedi are just crazy"

Echani right that's what he meant..he wasn't stupid in anyway..even if he did mess up the guy's species but hey you learn something new everyday it wasn't as ifhe was going to be horribly mutilated because he accidently insulted the guy..right but hey it's unlikely he'll make the same mistake twice...or a third time, but this guy was really passive for before what Jake called a sith eating sweets..well that was new

Well I guess even the sith have sweet tooth that and well this guy is just passive scared of the sun maybe but...passiveJaz thought to himself as he noticed the sith shrug off the cloak revealing clothes that well didn't really match Jake's description of the sith as the shorts were...stupidly flamboyant as kriff..if..onl-

"The water is good we should have a swimming race"Jaz suggested smiling of course little did he know was that there was a small possibility that the jedi and sith could just cheat and use their powers but hey they wouldn't do that...right?

"As for what he is...maybe he's just a rather...chill sith?"in reality he had no idea why the guy wasn't living up to Jake's expectation of a sith...maybe it was because this was a resort planet and he just wanted to relax..or this guy couldn't really be kriffed to waste energy to kill them both

"Say what's your name?..Mine's Jaz Corban"wait why was he telling the sith his name..wouldn't he just use that against him or maybe..Jaz was too kind or stupid

He looked at the Jedi with as much of an amiable smile as he could muster, slightly offset by his unsettling eyes, and continued applying his sunscreen without so much as missing a beat.

"Me? I'm a visionary. Though for all intensive purposes you could call me a Sith. I hope you realize, however, that there are some that have more control of our emotions than it seems...the vast majority, however, seem to be overly reliant on their emotion. They sicken me." He scoffed as he remembered some of the people he was affiliated with...all of them were imbeciles.

He looked over to the man who had earlier called him a thingy, and asked if they'd have a swimming race. Well, considering the fact he was completely shunning the obligation his superiors placed on him to kill every Jedi on sight...why not? "Sure," he replied as he wrapped up his lightsaber in his robe, finishing his candy bar and gingerly entering the water whilst still keeping a small bit of a distance from the Jedi, knowing that he probably wouldn't enjoy being that close to a mortal enemy of his. It seemed folly to him to leave his lightsaber just lying around, even if it was concealed; but still, he had such a powerful connection with that thing; it had taken almost a year of his blood, sweat, and tears to fabricate successfully, and during that time he found he had bonded himself to its whereabouts. No matter who took it, he'd undoubtedly feel it in advance.

He continued to listen to the overly friendly man next to him talk, not sure whether he was being brave, a sycophant, or just stupid enough to keep talking to a Sith like they'd known eachother for years. But he had a considerably longer amount of patience than most of his skill level; and besides, he was fun to listen to at the very least. "A...chill Sith? Ha...first time I've ever been called that...you should see me around some of the people I have to deal with...your assessment would change drastically."

He then proceeded to introduce himself, to which he replied "Radiant Dawn. Dawn for short if you'd prefer." Turning to the still nameless Jedi, he asked "Ah, I still don't know you yet. What's your name?"

He also noticed this close that the non Force Sensitive seemed to be bleeding a bit. "Aw...poor thing..." he muttered slightly condescendingly. "One of the reasons I envy the Jedi. The Dark Side isn't exactly tailored to heal efficiently..."

This Sith was a strange one. Jake wonderd how many Sith where there that where like him. He was more Jedi than Sith. In truth the only resone he was a Sith and not Jedi was because the sith got to him first. He was all so a cocky one. While dawn got in the water Jake spoke to him.

" So, Dwan why are you a Sith then. Your ideals are far from that of your fellow Sith. You closer to a Jedi or imperial knight than a sith."

Jake never really thought about how sith struggeled with heal through the force. He found a sense of pride for his order.
"Whil maybe we Jedi are so good it it due to our difrent belvies. Sith are power thuse weather you know it you try to force the force to obey. That not conducisve to healing now is it. Jedi let the force do the work, we guided and chanel the engergy not command it."

Thinking about Jaz in race Jake thought it would have to be fare.
"A race is a good idea. But no. Use of the force. Forced or guided."

"...you should see me around some of the people I have to deal with...your assessment would change drastically." ah Jaz had some ideas of how his assessment would change, but alas he never did think too deeply about things, rather he saw things in a simple way

"I see jedis, sith and everybody else from lowly grunt to the high-ranking solider as doing a job..willingly or otherwise"Jaz said shrugging as he finished speaking watching Dawn head into the water, and Jake agreeing to the race, and so he too headed into the water and then looked for a good point where they would have to turn back around and head to the beach

"...Do you two see that bouy over there, we'll swim up to there, and once we reach we reach it we have to head back the way we came, and the first one to get back on the beach is the winner"Jaz said as he moved to the middle so he was basically acting as a buffer zone between the jedi and the sith as he got himself to race

"3...2....1.....go!"and once he said go he ran through the water only managing to take two paces in before he dove in, trying his best to power his way through the water before he had to go above the water for some air, which hopefully gave Jaz a rather good lead, of course the bouy they were heading towards was the safety boundary where the hostile aquatic creatures won't attack but hey it just made things abit fun to say the least

The Jedi had asked a rather innocent and relevant question, followed by an explanation of how the Light Side manages to heal more efficiently. Both of which he was more than ready to respond to.

"I have considered my identity a time or two before. But you see...the Jedi are too hampered by their own self-imposed responsibilities to see the big picture. They protect innocents, yes, but are they willing to sacrifice these innocents for the greater good? Unfortunately...your Order has proven the opposite over the years. To..."keep your concentration in the present," as you often say, just leads to forgetting about the future. And the future the way I see it...a future of my design...it is glorious. More beautiful than the twisted views of the Sith could ever make it. Also...it seems as if many of you fear the Dark Side too much to use it effectively. Which is unfortunate...you'd get so much more done if you did...though the Light Side has its uses, as with healing...passion is capable of so much more." He leaned a bit closer and smiled, feeling a bit of a need to have fun with the Padawan. "Surely, you have passion...don't you?"

The other man spoke, saying that everyone was just doing a job. Strangely enough, he found himself agreeing; partially, at the very least. "True, friend...we all have jobs, as you say. But I'm self-employed," he said with a smile, hoping they'd realize exactly what he meant without him having to explain it. The Sith were just a vehicle to the power he required to make his vision a reality. Nothing more.

As the race was brought up, he nodded at the terms and saw a small rock bed, which he drew nearer towards, aiming to use it to help him push off. Though superiority in swimming was never really something he strove for, especially with his respiratory condition, he didn't mind at least trying. As Jaz yelled "go," he pushed off of the rocks and torpedoed through a small section of shallow water before he began swimming freestyle. He coughed as he swam, throwing him off a bit, but he still managed to keep the saltwater out of his throat; if it got in, it'd cause havoc with his lungs. But he'd been swimming for a while since he got here; nothing could go wrong. Could it?

Jake finaly understood why dawn was not jedi. Dawn was focused on changing the world to how he wanted it. Though he was wrong about one thing to.
"You right we will not sarfice the inocent. If need be we will be the ones to be sarficsed."

With the terms agreed apon jake made his way to the same rocks as dawn. But instead climed on top of them. On the go he dived of them and began his swim. Physcal training was part of the jedi training. But would it be enough.

Breaking the water surface Jaz looked over his shoulder to check on how much of a lead he managed to get, and found out that, his lead was a rather small one as both Jake and Dawn were close behind him, he needed to get further..of course there wasn't really a prize for the winner so kriff Jaz could just deliberately lose, but that would be rather unfair so he was going to try his best to win.

"True, friend...we all have jobs, as you say. But I'm self-employed," Jaz heard this just before he started the race, and from what Dawn had said it sounded as if he had something else planned...or he saw something else more...worthwhile..but whatever it was..Jaz didn't want to dive into it..nothing good was to come by diving into a sith's plan accidently or willing.

"..."after taking a big breath of air he dove back under the water trying to power further ahead until the next time he had to reach the surface once again, this time hoping he would create a much bigger lead over the other two

Responding once more to the Jedi before he dropped it, he smiled at him and said "Most people aren't worthy of your sacrifice Jedi...remember that."

Seeing them take the lead he realized his swimming technique was sloppy; he straightened his body out and stayed on top of the water rather than in it, taking a steady breaststroke approach to the race, kicking his legs hard and reaching his arms as far as they could go, cupping his hands with each stroke; he had swam for training a long time ago for some sort of muscle-building regimen back on Korriban, but it turned out to be quite useful now as he began to catch up with Jaz with each pause the man made during his bursts of swimming.

Spured on by the Sith, though Jake truly wonderd if he was a true a sith. Or just lost. Jake put moe effort in to his swim. Keeping his head down to stream line his body giving powerfully strokes Jake closed the gap on on Jaz.

He truly want to win. He felt that if he could win it would bring dawn to the light.

Bursting up above the water once more and soo close to the point they had to turn around and once again looking over at his shoulder he could see that instead of getting a longer lead..it was infact the opposite,Dawn and Jake were quickly catching up to him well he on the return he would have to switch tactics, and so once he reached the point where he had to turn around Jaz quickly darted under the water twisting his body around his feet planted on the bouy before pushing himself off, lucky for any of the other swimmers the buoy wasn't going to drift away as it was anchored to the spot on the seabed.

I just hope their not expecting a prize of sorts if they win...they would be disappointed in my answer Jaz thought to himself as this time used his arms overarm this time rather than power through while under the water

Jaz fast kick off caused a distrbance in the water but it did not phase Jake. Jake just beat Dawn. Bringing his legs fowards till he was on his back Jake all so kicked off and started a back stroke before spining his body in to a more breast stroke.

Dawn found himself on the tail end of them both, but smiled as he was gaining fast. Hitting the buoy only a second or two behind Jake, he flipped upside down onto his back in the water, kicking off hard with his legs as he found himself neck and neck with Jake and nearing Jaz's pace as well.

But something happened just about halfway between the shore and the buoy...as he took a deep breath while he swam, his impeccable swimming form slipped just slightly...and he inhaled the seawater into his lungs. A normal occurrence for anyone who swam, perhaps...and for Dawn, it normally was too. But this time, his respiratory system started failing him. As he reflexively began to cough to push the water out of his lungs, his asthma began to act up big time...maybe it was the stress of competition, maybe it was the volume of water he swallowed being larger than most he dealt with, but it soon got bad. Still quite far away from sure, he coughed and wheezed, floundering desperately in the water as panic and fear set in. He tried to reach out with the Force for his inhaler set, still with his robes, but the panic was making him lose control over his abilities. His throat had already got so tight that he couldn't even call for help. And as he continued swimming frantically towards the shore, the effort just made him lose oxygen in his blood faster. He was asphyxiating himself, choking to death from his own faulty immune system. He could only pray that he got to the shore before he blacked out.

(Sorry for going again. But it makes logical senes)

Dawn was right next to Jake when all of a suden he sliped back. Jake thought nothing of it. But when dawn reached out with the force jake suspected he was cheating. Give a glance behind him he saw Dawn drowining. Swiming back Jake grabed Jake and swam for the shore. With all nostion of a race over Jake would cheat and give Jaz the win. With the aid of the force he rushed past Jaz.

Unsure if Dawn could focus enough to hear. Jake send a telphaic messege.

"Calm down, you need to calm down"

((It's all good))

Yes it was all going well for Jaz as he had gained a few valuable moments to build up a lead from the two force users and ever closer to the finish line although as he got closer to the shore he heard a lot of splashing, unsure as to who was causing it he paused for the moment and looked back towards Jake and Dawn, only to see that the sith Dawn was struggling of course by not helping Jaz would simply be seen as a cruel heartless man who cared nothing for others, so he started to make his way bak when Jake reached him, and quickly swam right past him.

"..."watching as the duo made their way to the shore Jaz carried on swimming heading to the shore, and after shaking his head slightly and running a hand through it he then moved up to the two force users to see if he could help out..of course he wasn't the best person to go about asking for first aid, all he was good at the was basics

(No worries mate ^^)

A wide-eyed Dawn just stared at the Jedi as he helped him back to shore, still clawing at his throat and gasping desperately for air.

"Calm down, you need to calm down."

Having no knowledge of how to perform telepathy, the words just caused him to freak out even more, flailing desperately until the words got through to him and he stopped moving, letting the Jedi carry him to shore unhindered. As he lay on the sand, he looked around frantically for his robes and pointed to them frantically with one hand as he grabbed at his throat with the other. Begging them silently for their assistance as his fear still kept him from successfully controlling his abilities. Wrapped up in the neatly folded robes they'd find his inhaler set...if they felt so inclined as to help a man that should be hated by the entire galaxy.

To some it may have been a hard choice, but to Jake it was not a choice. All life was sacred even that of a Sith and Jake sensed good in Dawn. This one act may be all that is need to start the light in dawn so that he may rise to be a miday sun.

With the force jake pulled the bundel and if though guided by the force the inhaler fell out before Jake. Quikle he put it in Dawns mouth and depresed the plunder.

Watching the jedi use the "force" or whatever it was called to retrieve the inhaler and then used it to save the sith, of course if this was a battle field well..Jaz probably would still do the same..even if it meant stunning the sith first before doing anything else..of course if he was a heartless person who didn't stick to tight to his code he would have probably left Dawn to drown in the water..but alas that was not to be for Dawn

"I think he should be alright now.."Jaz said as he held his hand out for Dawn to pull himself up and brush the sand off his body..well hopefully nobody asked about the prize...although he could just say the Jake was disqualified..but he couldn't be bothered to do anything apart from probably explain that there was no prizes for winning..ok maybe bragging right? who knows

Dawn gasped and coughed as Jake pushed down on the plunger, the medication-infused air swiftly beginning to fight back his asthma, opening his airway and giving him the ability to breathe freely once more. As he lay there gasping, he realized that Jake had picked that inhaler out of a whole set of them...he couldn't have possibly known that this was his rescue inhaler...he couldn't have...which meant...well...it certainly meant he was pretty damn lucky...and then, he came to realize...that this Jedi, who had probably lost so much to the Sith...he had saved his life.

He looked over to the other man, the look of confusion on his face quite visible as he reached out his hand to help him up, which Dawn took gratefully as he took off the rest of his shirt, revealing the snake tattoo on his right arm as he dried himself off with the towel he had taken with him, placing his robes on once more.

Still bewildered, he asked the only question he could to both of them. "...Why?"
