Grace had yet to meet an individual this imposing and wise. He was unlike the jedi masters she was use to, but it was a welcome change. As he pried into her emotions however, the woman did worry. Not because she wasn't use to such abilities being used against her in the past, but that she wanted to be accepted by these people.

The way the man spoke about the Jedi and Sith were somethings she could certainly agree on. This was different, and perhaps the path to power was though understanding of the force, rather than attunement through the dark or light side.

"Y-you are correct. I was jealous once. It was idiotic... If I must confront what I want, then I will... I seek independence through the force, and the power to control my own Destiney. I may command many riches, but that is not what I truly desire. I desire the notoriety that comes from having those riches. I want the entire galaxy to know who I am, and respect me..."

It was the truest words Grace had ever spoken to anyone, even to herself. Her desires and thoughts had been all lied out for this man to hear. She didn't know if he would accept her or not, with the lofty ambitions she spoke of.

He listened, but he also listened beyond the words, there was much to digest about Grace as a person and the person she wants to be, he sensed that what she might wish for could change once she sees the world in a different view and therefore it was dangerous to accept someone as a Trainee if he didn't know all.

<"Do you truely believe notoriety will achieve what you wish for? What good is respect if one cannot taste it?">

He slowly descended the rest of the Stairs until he came to a halt right infront of her, standing there he evaluated her silently with his imposing gaze before then gesturing her to sit along the lip of the Pillar as he spoke, there was more and he knew that there was more it could not be so simple and knowing full well how fickle Grace's ambitions were he had to delve deeper, dig and excavate make her face her true own self.

<"Do you have peers? People that you cherish? Perhaps love? No I would not think you would allow such feelings, and that is where you are flawed.">

He chuckled and the sound of that alone was frightening, it sounded like a deep rumbling one that echoed in the chamber, it was only when he grew quiet again that he continued placing his hands together as they dissapeared inside of his Robe as he studied her reaction to his words, he spoke things that she likely denied herself in her persuit for power and wealth.

<"Emotion is what gives you strength, detachment is what gives you clarity, you must balance your influence in order to be able to achieve what you truely wish for. You may say you want people to respect you, but in the basest of things what do you truely yearn for?">

The man would respond to her with an interesting perspective on the matter. Why exactly did she care about being infamous? Why did she want respect in the first place? In truth, she did not know. many of her desires were deep seated, and something she figured she would never understand.

She would take a seat as instructed, and would ponder his next question closely. Did she even really have friends? Or were they all just business partners? All just tools to giving her another step forward? The man did have a point. She needed people that she didn't have to rely on for money or something. She needed people who were true friends.

Finally, he would ask her an interesting question that left the woman blankly staring for several seconds. "Change." She would answer, in the truest manner she could. "I want to become better than I was, in every aspect. I-I want to erase the mistakes of the past." A touch of wind would blow as she spoke, brushing beneath both of their feet.

"I want a future that I craft... Not one that someone else crafts for me."

<"A sad truth I will reveal to you.">

He would say as he gestured his right hand outwards it came up and almost like he was touching things within the air particles started forming around what seemed to be wall torches, and one by one... they slowly ignited illuminating the chamber in somber flamelike orange, he did the same with his left hand until he was satisfied with the illumination he created, it was a curious notion because Grace could swear he did it with such nochalance that it felt almost natural to him.

<"No Power, nor Wisdom will yield the strength to erase the Past.">

He then gestured her along as he made his way along the path she just treaded down, once they arrived in the middle of the room he gestured for her to halt here whilst he went on ahead, after creating about three bodylengths of distance he turned around to confront her and spoke once more.

<"We will begin your training today, not only will I teach you in the ways of our Arts, but I will also teach you to become the person you wish to be. You will come to face with your past and learn to accept it or ultimately yield to it, for the more you wish to erase it the more it will destroy you until there is nothing but a husk clinging onto change left.">

His voice thrummed forwards and the tone alone commanded a certain respect as if it allowed no denial from her side however it was still a choice she had to make and one not made lightly, however as if given permission the Elder already continued by placing his hands back together before his voice resounded.

<"Speak the names of those most close to you. What do they mean to you?">

It was indeed sad, Grace would search her feelings and know the man to be correct. The past was set in stone, and the future was all that could be shaped. She knew that much to be true. Perhaps her future however would make others forget the past.

She was elated as the man explained how they would indeed train her, something she desperately needed. With that in mind of course, he would ask her to speak the names of those closest to her. An interesting request, but she would indeed oblige "Havvs Starknock. He is the closes thing I have to a father... @Kist Ke'kolu, @Rafe, @Raanil Chal, @Tyr'din Selm, @Harleen, @Slick and @Mae Tecono... They are the closest I have to friends, especially Kist and Tyr'din."

With that she would let out a deep breath, wondering what the man would say or ask of her next... Whatever the request, she would do as much work as possible to learn their ways. She too would become a Shaper of Kor Var.

<"Mmh. Those two show powerful Feelings within you, I will not ask why. They will be your source of Dedication, and from them you will draw the Power you need from whatever feelings you harbor.">

Striding slowly forwards he would come to a halt just before her until he reached up and grabbed hold on either side of his Hood slowly peeling it backwards and once he fully did Grace could finally see the full extent of the Man she was speaking to, old... exceedingly old and marked with scars predominantly scars of vicious burns along the side of his face mostly hidded beneath a impressive yet trimmed beard.

<"And as your bond with your Peers grows, so will your Power so that one day you shall shape the Future you set out to build. As one of our Shapers.">
