Hera could nearly taste it in the air. On this beautiful world of Christophsis, the scent of completion filled her senses. So very soon, the threat of the Killiks would be erased from the galaxy, the hive species reduced to nothing more than isolated and weak pockets not strong enough to even bother villages. However, with that finality came intense danger. She had no idea how powerful or well-defended the Killik hive homeworld would be, and the Councilor was not about to underestimate them by showing up with nothing more than the Jedi's own, isolated fleet.
Her last meeting with the head of the ISC had not been fruitful, but it had been illuminating. To a newly appointed Councilor, Hera had been shown exactly the place the Jedi had held at that time in the universe. Time had passed now, Hera had made public appearances, aid had been dispensed to damaged worlds, and now the Jedi were on the cusp of eliminating an intergalactic crisis. Of course, with one on the way out the door, another had begun to rise up. But that was, perhaps, a discussion for another day.
Stepping from a beautifully ornate crystal structure into a crystal elevator, Hera hummed quietly as the crystal box took her up the tower. She had been made to wait momentarily, as before, and was led to the elevator with the knowledge of what floor the President of the ISC had nearly to himself. Still wearing her armor, though her lightsabers waited at the door for her, Hera smiled mirthlessly as the doors opened. There was a distinct lack of joy in Hera's emotions, however, as she moved to greet President Thorne. Ever since her mission with Leon, she had struggled to rely on the emotions of happiness she was so used to.
But her own issues, as well, would need to wait. With her joyless smile, she spoke, "President Thorne, I am pleased to see you again."
