HOW ORIGINAL! A ZOMBIE ROLE-PLAY LOL
No, but seriously.
Here's the idea; I say we do a classic zombie role-play, I'll let you all decide on a setting (city). Now this isn't going to be a resident evil-kinda thing: No tyrants, mutations, zombie dogs, etc. Just classic human zombies. Rules:
All characters start as survivors; no weapons, armor, etc. Everyone starts out with simple clothing. The idea is that everyone, the last group of survivors, is holed up inside an old bar/pub in the suburbs, weaponless and without real-protection. The bar/pub is extremely re-enforced, leaving it the only know safehouse, and the food and water stores have been exhausted. One last radio broadcast has annouced that the final transportation helicopter will be arriving in thirty days. NATO has been rumored to help aid in cleanup of the setting. The problem is, the location is across the suburbs, the city, the woods, the bay, and will arrive in the remains of a military base across the bay. What the real problem is the hundreds of thousands of roaming zombies along the way.
You, as a survivor, will need to loot, hotwire, barricade, and create in order to survive the journey.
Character Profile:

Ethnicity/Country of Origin:
Survivor Class:

Brief History:
Character Classes:
Consumer Catagory: As a consumer, you are the civilian.
Construction: As a construction worker, you are capable of fortifying a building or vehicle in the event of a Zombie rush. Along with your strength and knowledge of a building's structure, you are a key member of any group.
Average Joe: A simple human, you work in a cubicle with an average payroll. As the average joe, you know your surroundings and stores rather well. Because of your life as a civilian, you are more aware of your surroundings; even though many buildings have been scratched out or ransacked, your familiarity with their appearence has allowed you to find key stores needed for your survival.
Street Rat: You grew up on the streets, leaving you without a great education. However, your street smarts, your knowledge of hotwiring vehicles, and rocky past have made you a dangerous ally.
Tank Catagory: You've spent your life in the military or in the Police Academy
NATO Soldier: Part of the first deployment group sent into the setting, you are one of the few survivors of your platoon. Having gone through basic military training, you are the front man/woman of any group. With your knowledge in using firearms, and your physical strength, you are extremely self-sufficient. However, your surroundings are completely unknown to you; the only reason you made it to the pub was through help. (Name your weapons specialty, IE: Demolitions, Sniping, Heavy Weapons, basic automatics)
Field Medic: While a doctor has more medical knowledge then you, a field medic is more used to battlefield situations and a larger array of firearms.
Scout: As a scout, your primary goal is not to run gung-ho with an AK straight into the firefight; your goal is to scout the area ahead. In order to scout, you must travel light. As a scout, you are quick on your feet and you are a very patient person. As a scout, your are more likely to carry a long-distance rifle.
Hybrid Catagory: You are the boys and girls who keep home safe from fires, robberies, and help revive the dead.
Police Officer: Keeping the peace, you were the first line of defense in the zombie outbreak. Being the hybrid class of the selection, you have a low knowledge of firearms being pistols and shotguns and you have good knowledge of the area.
Firefighter: You go head first into the fires of hell and live to tell. Your knowledge with heavy melee weapons, such as axes, not to mention your ability to think under pressure, have made you into a hardened human being.
Doctor: While the field medic is physically more dominant then the Doctor, the doctor is more proficient in healing. Your years of study in physical therapy, treatment in disease, and surgery have made you the thin line that divides those who live, and those who die.
Zombie Catagory (Cannot choose unless your character dies):
Zombie: Your decaying body and caught infection have made you into an immortal and mindless monster. Depending on the wounds you sustained in your life, your body will limit your movement. If your legs suffered heavy damage, your undead self will be slower. Should you have been infected, yet not suffer any movement-imparing injuries, your undead self will be fast and dangerous.
