"Kashyyyk"
Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl addressed a camera from the deck of a mighty warship, listing some of the dozens of worlds who had contributed to the fleet. Visible in the background, out the viewport of the bridge, was what could only be described as an armada.
"Dosh."
"Umbara."
"Balamak."
"Sneeve."
"Randon."
"Zeltros."
A diverse collection of worlds, even by FWA standards, and throughout the broadcast, more ships would arrive. "The murderous actions of the former Supreme Chancellor of the New Republic have managed to do what even the Sith Empire could not; fully unite the Free World's Alliance." The Wookiee's gaze was as hard as durasteel; he took no joy in war, even as he recognized it's necessity as he did now. Where had this response been after Kashyyyk had been bombarded? Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl supposed that he bore some of the blame for that. Gripping his Wroshyr staff, the Senator banished the memories that would haunt him to his grave, pushing aside the helplessness that he'd felt as Kashyyyk burned. He couldn't change what had happened to Kashyyyk or Taanab... nor could he change the course of the juggernaut that was the mobilized Free World's Alliance.
The FWA's response to the Sith Empire had been sluggish and disorganized, hampered by logistics, politics, and varying ideas for how to respond to the Sith's continued attacks. It had been a political struggle to mobilize the FWA back then, but if there was a silver lining to come out of the devastation of Taanab, it was that the FWA, by and large, now shared a singular goal and a clear objective. The Wookiee almost felt sorry for Xerxes.
Almost.
"Alexander Xerxes" Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl said, knowing that if the New Republic's suspicions were true, the man that had once been the Supreme Chancellor had long since ceased to be. "We will pursue you and the 5th Fleet to the edge of the galaxy, and beyond, if need be, to secure justice for the lives lost on Taanab." The Wookiee didn't say that the FWA actually had a pretty good idea of where the fleet was, thanks to the cooperation of the rest of the New Republic.
"You made many promises as Supreme Chancellor of the New Republic, and you broke them all. Listen, then to an oath that will not, cannot, be broken: there is nowhere in the galaxy where you or your 5th Fleet can avoid the judgement that you have brought upon yourself." Stars stretched in the viewport behind Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl as the ship jumped to hyperspace.
