AKA, Tweed wants to be an Admin really really bad.

Me? Don't be silly. If anyone has the proper experience for such a lofty position, it's you. You also smell nicer, have good hair, and eat meat.

^ The biggest reason why SWRP does not have an economy. No admin or SWRPer with known admin potential wants to run it xD ^

I think it goes beyond this. Not only is there no one who wants to run it; but it doesn't have much of a place on the SWRP. It's not a video game, it's collaborative story telling. While it would be an interesting aspect (one I would personally enjoy) EACH INDIVIDUAL CHARACTER'S credits would have to be monitored; making sure no one is stealing a few extra credits here and there to buy an extra blaster or two.

On top of that it does nothing to add to the story telling of the site. There aren't enough members with Bankers, Contractors, CEOs, ect for an economy to make sense. It would only cater to those few people with those types of characters. From what I've seen there just aren't anywhere near enough of the above character types for it to make sense to bend the entire sites focus away from story telling and towards character building.

Like I said I think it would be cool if we did have an economy, it would give military type characters something to work for other than a title. But that being said it's just too much to monitor...six characters per member, hundreds of members, not to mention archived characters that get pulled out of the grave...it's a daunting task that, once again, detracts from the sites focus and doesn't add to it.

(From my personal point of view. XD )

((Also this isn't to Black Noise, you were just the last one to talk about it so I was using your post as a reference point for my rant. :P ))

"In other news today, millions of bankers continue to throw themselves off buildings as duros is conquered by the sith. The system was always thought of as a safe investment, and with so many different ship companies that were active in the region, transferring personel and stocks became impossible. The blow comes just as a recession from the fall of coruscant was beginning to turn around. Experts suggest not pulling out all their credits from the stock market, for fear it will further devalue the galactic credit against other local, more stable currencies.

This is Shina Vaan, GNN credit."

Ah, my secret plans to rid the galaxy of the banking elite, foiled!

Is it acceptable to post FLASHBACK threads now that the time-skip has been announced?

Uh, that would be weird, since the timeskip hasn't happened. Any thread tagged FLASHBACK would have to take place BEFORE the current time. If you want to RP things that are going to be a flashback of the 10 year skip then you should probably wait until the timeskip goes live.

That's what I thought. I saw one or two of them already, though, so I wasn't sure if that was condoned or not.

I know you hate timetable questions, and I don't want to get on anyone's nerves, but when will the faction histories be released?

I've been wondering about this as well.

If you're referring to my RP, it's a flashback that takes place like around the start of the war, and that's why it's a flashback.
