The freighter lands surprisingly gently for it's size.
Tristan had been sitting in his seat silently, pretending to be engrossed in thought so the other passengers wouldn't bother him.
It's not that they weren't nice, he just didn't care for going through the meaningless niceties with people who didn't particularly matter at the moment.
The hatch opened, the hissing of the decompression almost surprising him. Tristan got up quickly, his pack already in hand, and proceeded past the others our the opening.
It was a bright day, he had to squint for a second for his eyes to adjust. They had landed on a small platform surrounded by a field in the immediate vicinity with a forest in the midground.
He shouldered his pack and looked around at the greeters that happened to be there.
