Boli and the banner is not the only incident of an admin neglecting a previous promise and you know I'm right about that. I don't understand why you're putting it off in the first place, when clearly I'm not the only member whose expressed displeasure with the change in this thread.

The Diverse RP move seems pointless and ultimately serves nothing but detracting from it. Moving sub forums isn't hard, why not just move it back now?

I'm completely prepared to admit that I'm wrong if I find that I'm wrong.

Bad Bac. Be more politician-y. Never admit you can be wrong!

On a serious note, I agree that it seems a bit choppy.

This is basically an experiment, Kaeb, since we’re also introducing new elements to the RP and board that we haven’t had before. We’re both espousing the expected results of that experiment. Neither of us can back up our expectation with facts, and the next few weeks is going to determine whether I’m right or you’re right. If you’re right, I change it back.

So far, you are the only one who has brought up the Diverse RP. If there are a lot of people who don't like it, I'll move it back. Beyond that, I defer back to what I've already said. There is really nothing further I have to say.

And yes, there have been broken promises. One of them was a neutral RPing area, a promise that we are now fulfilling.

I'll wait to see the additions that Bac are talking about, and then return to the choppiness issue. Hopefully he's right, and the problem will be fixed. Otherwise I support a full return the way the board was set up when I went to bed last night!

At least you've admitted there's literally no good reason to move the Diverse area, which still baffles me as to why the **** it was done in the first place.

I agree with everyone else so far, I'll wait over the next few weeks, but the site looks horribly choppy right now and the Diverse move seems ridiculously stupid.

Personally, I think Dueling Ring and Neutral Space could easily go into the rest of the Role Play section. It's less of a choppy thing (though does attribute to this belief), but rather it (soon to be they) doesn't really need to stand alone.

Also, Kaeb, in case you haven't been keeping up - which I can clearly see is the case - I've been busy as **** with other stuff per the...three or four personal notifications threads in the past month. I said in the banner thread that it's not a priority at the moment. We have a working banner for now, so it's not a must-do scenario - as opposed to the uni work and paid stuff that actually is a must-do scenario.

Anyway, here's a WIP to show you I have actually been doing something.

What is the DSC Daedalus?

A space station not controlled by any factions that acts as a neutral RPing area. People from all factions can come together on this unaffiliated station and have casual RPs, without having to worry about being killed, plots, schemes, etc. Just casual RPing.

Butthurt Boli is butthurt, I singled you out as one example, try not to mensturate over it.

That bing said, I agree with your desicion to use the Falcon over the Hawk, although I would definitely place the text (which I'm not a fan of) between the two spires on the far left, the positioning looks really of where it is, plus the font looks GIGANTIC.

On with the thread.

I actually like the changes, maybe because I haven't been here long enough to have gotten used to the old...but anyway I like the fact that there is more organization to it and to me it seems less jumbled and maybe easier for newer members to navigate.

Er...what? o.O Think you're reading too much into things, buddy.

The logo is a seperate layer and automatically repositions depending on your resolution - it's a mockup and a placeholder. Pretty sure I've explained that before.

Let me know when it's done, then I can add those final touches I had talked about in the banner thread.

Why did I get my hopes up thinking this was about Snowboarding?

Personally I think it's a good concept and it'll be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Honestly, those that perceive it to be jumbled, I think, are just so used to the way it was and may or may not be used to/like change.
Yes, it's a little bare, that's more than obvious, but Bac did say they were going to be adding more in time. I look forward to seeing those additions.

The point of this was to make it more organized and to get things out from sub-forums and stuff and, as has been pointed out, to make it a little easier for new members to find stuff that isn't hidden behind other sections. That goal was achieved in my opinion. Whether or not it works, as has been stated, will be determined once everyone's gotten used to it.
