Hello folks, I was browsing around the web for some random information and stumbled upon this forum. I'm part of another SWRP elsewhere in this World Wide Web. I was just curious of what this one was like? Is it pure forum roleplay, any clients, programs, or websites you use beyond this? What timeline does it take place in? What are some rules...major differences from this and the canon universe...ect

Well my name is Sofie, I'm an immigrant to America, and I don't really indulge strangers a ton on my personal life (Not that you guys care that much I'm sure.) Main point is, I'm a Star Wars nut. Sci-fi in general, actually. Anyways... the roleplay community I was in, I had four characters I'd use from time to time. 1.)A Tatooinian Jedi Knight (Consular sub-group, Former Councillor), 2.)A senator from the planet of Pantora, which I successfully formed a unification treat with Alzoc III to make a sector government, 3.) a Moff in the Imperial Remnant, didn't really do much notable stuff with that character, and..4.) A sentientologist who was currently living among Mandalorians last I used that one.

I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about Star Wars information, can name all the saber forms in my sleep, etc. I was just curious what this community was like. Just basic info, how the roleplay works. Who would be the first person to talk to, and all that Jazz. I do love the Auto-save feature that your posting system has, and I do love these emoticons :bitchez...Anywho, Yup. You can reply on here or PM me. Anyone wanting to help out a noob (Or if you like puns..Rookiee get it? cause Wookiees...anyways) feel free to. Sorry for the horrendous grammar in this post, I'm not really proofreading.

Ok.

We are a forum based role-play community. Nothing required outside of an internet browser to participate.
We occupy the space 1000 years after the Battle of Yavin, which gives us essentially free reign to mould the universe how we like it.
In terms of comparing the universe to Canon, it follows the majority of the same guidelines, rules... I suppose nothing drastic (someone else may be able to elaborate on this).

As far as everything else goes, you can ask anyone any question about anything. We're generally nice folk here, and happy to help new faces!
Personally i've got MSN, and am on the forums WAY too much, so i can respond pretty quickly to any questions you may have.
If i can't, I'll point you in the right direction of someone who can!

I've never really done Forum roleplay beyond the community I'm in. But that's sort of watered down, it's mostly diplomatic & faction conflicts. Jedi & Sith did very little with forums, beyond ooc. I focused mostly on my Jedi character, I might port her over as a young Jedi Initiate, if that'd be alright..Not really sure how it works here. And I only have Skype, sowwy. And the era makes sense to me. We were 2000 years after. Well I'll shoot you a PM when I learn to navigate these forums better. I'm used to the goofy invisionsfree.

I`d like to add that this is the 5th timeline the site is doing (I don`t know when the previous took place (as in what SW year)) what I do know is that there are plots revolving around characters, items and events from past timelines. The sith (New Sith Imperium) and the jedi (Galactic Alliance) are active and we`ve recently picked up on fighting the neverending war between the two factions. I`d be glad to help you out in any way I can - simply PM/VM me (I too have skype ^^)

Hey guys, my name's Dani, I'm also new to this site. I was referred to the site by Sofie, and I'm from the same Star Wars RP she comes from.

She mentioned that she was considering joining a new SWRP, and told me about a few of the rules of the RP. I asked for a link to the site, and having looked over your rules, I must say I'm quite impressed, it honestly looks a thousand times better than what we have in place in our RP. I've realized for some time now that the system we use in our RP just isn't effective at all, and because it's been like this for a decade, it would be impossible to fix it, as people are used to it, and not everyone would agree with the changes that would have to be made to fix it. Looking at this site, it makes me think that our SWRP should be exactly like this. But alas, as it's impossible to change the system we currently have there, I am debating permanently leaving that community and roleplaying here instead. I haven't looked much at your RP, but I've read the rules, and it looks like a lot of fun, so over the next week or so I'm going to watch some of the RP you guys do here, and try and get involved in the RP too, if I can. Like Sofie, I guess I'll be transferring my character here too, and starting from the beginning as a Jedi Initiate.

So yeah, I guess that's it. ^_^
