Vesper is a Nar Shaddaaian street rat who with the help of her mother was able to join the Jedi after the tragic loss of her father. Now more than a simple criminal, Vesper is full fledged Jedi Knight looking to do more than her part in mending a galaxy that teeters on the brink.

  • Biography​


    The galaxy is a pretty big place, you know. So many wonderful planets make it up, lush green worlds teeming with life, places where white sand beaches stretch for dozens and dozens of miles uninterrupted. There's places where it rains diamonds, where every day is the greatest day you'll ever have. And then there are places like Nar Shaddaa.

    Unfortunately for Vesper T'Rahm, Nar Shaddaa was where she was born. Smack dab in the middle of one of the most dangerous, dirty and crime ridden ghettos on the Smuggler's Moon to be precise. Not really the kind of lottery you wanted to win, but we don't really get much say in who our parents are do we?

    All was not doom and gloom in the life of young Vesper, born to relatively loving and supportive parents despite the usual circumstances. Her father's name was Peet T'Rahm, a leader of a small time gang outfit that operated loosely with the Sith - or so the rumors said. Peet liked to say he ran his outfit interdependently, pure and for the good of the neighborhood. Most people knew different, though no one felt it a good idea to call him out.

    Her mom's name was Kerra and she was a good mom. Tough as nails and just as in the thick of the gang life as her dad, but softer. Somehow.. more dangerous. Vesper looked up to her mom and respected her immensely, doing her best to be something that her mother would be proud of.

    During her youth Vesper learned many things from her parents. They taught her how to shoot a blaster, how to fight. When to play it cool and when fists would be better to get your mark. Conning rich spacers out of their hard earned credits when they'd had a few too many drinks. All invaluable lessons to impart onto one's child surely, or at least they were in places like Nar Shaddaa.

    This lifestyle continued for Vesper until her early teens. At one point or another, especially when you live on Nar Shadda, you're probably going to be staring down the business end of a blaster. Such an inglorious end befell Peet T'Rahm during an ambush set up by one of the new upstart gangs looking to make a name for itself. Cowards and cretins who were slaughtered a few days later by silent Sith enforcers, upset at revenue streams being broken. Guess Peet couldn't deny the influence in the gang anymore, not that it mattered.

    It didn't take long for the gang to tear itself apart, people not smart enough to tie their own shoes killing each other over who would get to lead. Vesper and her mom abandoned their home during before the violence between members really ramped up, something she was extremely grateful for.

    They had made contact with an old friend of Kerra’s operating out of Tatooine. Turns out he’d gotten himself into the thick of it operating a small cell that struck at Sith holdings in the outer rim, and he offered a chance to join to Vesper and her mother. They did so without much question, their old lives laying in embers behind them they had little reason for reservation.

    It didn’t take long for Vesper to benefit even more from this than anyone would have assumed, being discovered as force sensitive by members of the Jedi and subsequently trained in the ways of the force.

    It was a path in life that neither Vesper nor her mother had ever envisioned, but Vesper embraced her new found ability wholly. She finally had a way to make the galaxy a better place, and she had every intention of using it.

    PHYSICALITY
    ⇀By all accounts, Vesper is an attractive woman. She has long legs, towering above many other human woman at an impressive 70 inches. She has naturally blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. Vesper often wears makeup and other accessories, mostly because she likes it but also because she likes thinking that other people find her pretty. Her body is lean but toned, though Vesper wouldn’t qualify herself as “athletic.”

    AESTHETIC
    ⇀ Vesper considers herself pretty fashion-forward. The closet in her apartment is filled with pretty much any type of outfit you could think of, to simple tshirt-and-jeans to elegant full length dresses with heels.

    ⇀ When on official Jedi operations Vesper will opt for more in-line attire, though she does not prefer it and only does so when absolutely required. She wears a simple ensemble befitting of a Jedi.

    NOTEABLE MARKINGS
    ⇀ Vesper has a decent-sized scar on her back, just above her left hip. The unfortunate consequence of getting stabbed after attempting to fend off a mugger.

    ⇀ A tattoo of her mother’s initials - RTR - on her left wrist.

    CONFIDENCE, EGO
    ⇀ A strong portion of Vesper’s personality and choice making comes from her immense confidence in herself and her abilities. Succeeding on a world like Nar Shaddaa is to live where lesser people would die. Being able to rely on yourself is paramount. Vesper’s ego can be a double edged sword, however. Sometimes she is confident to the point of foolhardiness, willing to put herself into dangerous situations that could potentially have safer solutions.

    DETERMINATION
    ⇀ If there's one trait above all else that can define Vesper it's her relentlessness. When she decides she needs something or something has to happen, she will make sure it is accomplished no matter what. Although this trait has been a great boon to her over the years, it can also have its drawbacks. Vesper can sometimes get intense tunnel vision when focusing on a goal, ignoring details or cutting corners. She can also come across as extremely intense and hyper-competitive, something that's caused her issues in the relationship department.

    CHIP ON HER SHOULDER
    ⇀ The past does not define Vesper. Despite being proud of her parents and willing to talk about where she has come from, Vesper sometimes goes out of her way to prove that just because she grew up in some slimy ghetto doesn’t mean that she isn’t good enough to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone out there. This can lead to, sometimes, Vesper taking remarks or insinuations personally even though they aren’t meant to be. She works hard to change this about her personality, but there is always that voice in the back of her mind reminding her that maybe she’s just not good enough.

    EX-CRIMINAL
    ⇀ The majority of skills, lessons and motivations Vesper learned as a child were generally criminal in nature. Her upbringing taught her that there is always a price someone is willing to pay, a lie they want to hear, or a favor you can grant to get what you want - so naturally, her tongue is quite silver. She’s also has a proclivity for things like slicing, getting into places she shouldn’t be and other such skullduggery. Her upbringing also leant a hand in giving her adequate skill wielding a blaster or knife.

    THE CHARMER
    ⇀ Vesper has always found it easy to influence people into telling her things she wants to know or doing stuff that she asks them to do. It's especially easy to do so on men, but Vesper has a pretty good success rate with women too. She has an easy-to-approach personality and generally comes across as warm and inviting to others, even if sometimes she would have ulterior motives for interacting with someone. She also knows how to throw one hell of a rager.

    I, JEDI
    ⇀ Vesper has taken to her Jedi training with great fervor and audacity. She practices her force use regularly, wanting to master its application and understand it on a greater level. Obviously she knows much of that will only come with time and considerable effort, something that Vesper is more than willing to do. She is relatively adept with using a lightsaber, able to hold her own in most instances. Though she would be kidding herself to think that she could go toe-to-toe with someone with vastly more experience using the mystical weapon.

    This will be a small paragraph. I'll use it to briefly describe his relationship with the featured character. I've always really enjoyed doing this because it feels like a small thank you to all who take the time to write with me. But of course, as I tinker with this I'll find the process of accommodating all of these characters quite fun, except when I can't fill in the appropriate amount of space.
