The Rodians flew away and the Human returned to the mine. Tiberius remained behind the bush until he was certain there were no other colonists around. Once he was sure he would not be spotted he swiftly and quietly regrouped with Vayla over by the machinery. They were soon joined by Pêro who had remained in the main hall during the unfolding of events. Tiberius explained to his companions what he had heard.
“Yeah, I’m no expert, but those rodians didn’t exactly seem like upstanding members of society.” Tiberius responded to Vayla’s initial comment about the Rodians being criminals. “It seem like the colonists are getting some kind of compensation for whatever was in those metal crates.” He continued.
Tiberius let out a little chuckle at Vayla’s pun. It seemed like the decision was unanimous, they would need to venture into the mines to find their answers. Pêro was right, though, it was likely that they wouldn’t be received with open arms by the colonists. “Everyone stay on your toes.” The Jedi said looking at his fellow knights.
He directed his attention towards the mines and began to make his way there. He did not follow the direct path that lead straight to the mouth of the mine, however. The path was lit by bright lights and Tiberius didn’t want to risk being seen. Instead he took the long way around, remaining in the shadows to conceal his presence.
Although he did take a longer route, the trek to the mine was not much longer than if he had taken the path. As he reach the mouth of the mine he noticed that it was unguarded. The knight peered into the entrance. There was a long hallway that descended into the mine. There was a dim glow that came from whatever lay down below.
