Sniiv wasn't desperate, quite the contrary. He had gotten familiar with Galen's methods throughout the bout, comfortably so. There wasn't much he needed to worry about, and provoking the human was far too easy. The Rodian used a firm hand when attacking with his lightsaber, occasionally offering up an opening simply to tempt the man. When Galen took the 'opportunity,' Sniiv countered with a quick block followed by driving the blade of his lightsaber straight down along Galen's, to attempt hitting his fingers.

Galen had made a mistake. He had to think quick. He pulled his lightsaber down and flipped over the Rodians swinging blade. He pulled himself away from the Rodians range. Galen thought. He thought about the Jedi. He thought about the Jedi that killed his mother and were probably holding his father. He thought of the hatred that he felt. Yes, the hatred. The Jedi had taken everything from him. His life was spent hating them. He directed every energy toward hating the Jedi. The lining of his pupils turned red. His eyes were fierce and wild. Dark energy surged through his body. He called upon all of his hatred and ran towards the Rodian. The finesse and balance of delicate swordplay was gone. Now, brute strength and violence ruled. The chaos around Galen swirled. His hatred grew with each blow. His eyes began to water. Galen yelled with each blow dealt. The duel had quickly evolved as Galen seemed driven by some primal force.

The ball was now in Sniiv's court, so to speak. Brutality was his strength and Galen had just entered his realm. The Rodian's style of Juyo was perfect for the occaision as he fed on Galen's ferocity and turned it against him. He would block and counter every attack just as it connected with his blade, drawing on his own reserves of ripened rage to supplement his already potent might.

All the fear and desperation he felt living alone in Rodia's jungle was enough to drive him for the rest of his life. To survive he had to adapt and overcome. To defeat his enemies he had to bring them to their knees and make certain their ability to retaliate was decimated with their wills.

The Rodian was clearly stronger than Galen, however, something kept him going. Both had experienced pain in their lives and both were feeding off of it. Galen no longer felt the fatigue and freely swung in aggressive arcs. The Rodian met every blow and countered effectively. The rage would not subside. Both acolytes seethed in hatred, their eyes watering and bloodshot. Galen's muscles tensed as he moved for another blow. This one was aimed at the Rodian's neck.

Sniiv leaned away from the attack as it came towards his neck, partially dropping his weight just to move his large frame in time to avoid being beheaded. The gnat had balls, it seemed. With a grunt the Rodian hit the groud on his side, facing Galen, and then rolled away. He brought his weapon up between the man's legs, at an angle aiming to sever his right leg at just above the knee.

He didn't want to kill Galen, that would hinder the Bogan by depriving them of sacrificial lambs. No, Sniiv wanted to make an example. If he succeeded it would prove that his skills were worthy of further teaching. Power would be his to hold and use.

Galen looked down almost too late. This Rodian was playing for keeps. The hatred burned in both acolytes. This was not going to end well. Where was Radszkie? Shouldn't he stop this before someone got hurt? This was becoming more and more dangerous. Galen had to make his move or his leg would be gone. He leaped and flipped over the Rodian. The acolytes were back to back now. Galen glanced at Radzkie, smiled and thrust his lightsaber backwards into the Rodian's back.

((Ooc: I did not write Sniiv as having stood up. So this is the reaction to Galen's move))

Sniiv had rolled onto his back and was fully able to see as Galen landed and thrusted his lightsaber backwards into... air with an odd smile on his face. Again, seeing as the human's weapon was high, the Rodian swung his weapon again. This time higher and aiming to take both legs if he connected. Galen seemed confident and Sniiv intended to cash in on that observation.

After his attack, whether it succeeded or not, Sniiv rolled away from Galen and quickly rose to his feet. With a menacing glare he brandished his deadly weapon and waited.

Galen realized his mistake and looked down. This Rodian was intent on paralyzing him. He jumped over the Rodian's lightsaber like a high jumper and landed on his side. Galen winced. He recovered and met the Rodian's swing with his lightsaber. He had to get back up. Galen performed a kick up and was facing the Rodian. He swung his lightsaber in a downward slash in the Rodians direction. Their lightsabers met. Both crimson blades hissed and crackled as they locked. Galen looked deep into the Rodian's big bug eyes and snarled. He pushed harder on the locked blade and tried to singe the Rodian's face.
