Rangers I will be working on a few more projects tomorrow that include adding the credit shop and adding more missions. You'll notice less of them will involve me inherently npcing as I'm going to move towards making you more self reliant on that end and encourage you in some cases to consider soloing more simple missions.

Another project will be changes to the main thread involving a space for alliances, bases, and tech write ups while moving How the West was Lost into a blog post

speaking of blogs I'm going to try to make our notable npcs more alive by giving them character sheets in their own blog posts

then if I have time I'll work on Hiros character page and a few tech submissions for the rangers

How you can help: First off you can always submit tech and missions for the Rangers and offer to npc for others missions, do an exchange maybe, you npc for them they npc for you

Secondly stay active and awesome

and third tell me if your going to be busy or dropping off the face of the earth so I can plan accordingly

Duke, thanks for starting my day of with a laugh, first the comment about Para' mum opening her legs to make a living, then the Titanic Remix, I loled all over the gaff.

I know you posted a list a while back, but in case it's changed or priorities have- is there any kind of tech in particular you're looking for?

Reposting from before

Some I've thought of:

Electric Lassos: Basically a new iteration of the electric net

Wagon Guns: Blaster cannons and chain guns that can be mounted to the backs of swoop bikes or mounted on top of gobos and wagons

Sand Traps: Small gun emplacements you could hide in the sand. When they registered someone approaching they'd rise from the sand with a scope you could remotely see through, if they weren't friendly you could allow them to fire.

Smart scopes: Computers attached to certain blasters to give rangers a Hud detailing vital points on humanoid targets. It could also give data on wind speed and other useful info for long range engagements.

Fighters: Ranger air defense is zero right now so we need a good cover of fighters for skirmishes and to prevent bombings.

Medical Tech: We don't have much bacta so well need some good field kits with some cheap effective tech for most injuries.

Modable Rifles- Rangers are going to fight a lot of different enemies on many different worlds. Different ammo types will be essential.

Vehicles- For the get up and go needs

Droids: Obviously Hiro doesn't like droids that get treated like servants but if we could find older models who need re purposing he'd love to give them a cause.

Armor: A lot of the mystique of the Rangers comes from the hats and the dusters, but even jedi wear some armor. For npcs there could definitely be a standard armor but for some pcs I'm thinking an underlay of mesh to deal with kinetic blasts and close combat knives.

Humanitarian Vehicles: Helping the good is more important the punishing the evil so we should definitely emphasize humanitarian work with some ships specifically built as nonviolent vessels that can outrun enemies and deliver cargo where it is definitely needed.


Mechs: People in giant robots is pretty cool.

Fleet: As we expand to other bases well need a fleet to protect our supply and communication lines. It'll be frigates, fighters, bombers, and lesser ships for now but eventually I'd love to see the Rangers snag a capital ship.

1 is that the Hutts have added increased security in Sathad'Ra after the Attack on Zonju V. This extra security is listeed here under TMC territory in the Additional Security spoiler

Good to hear interest. I'm hoping your all havin a bit of fun with the Rangers so far. Now we've got plenty of new guys into the Rangers and our current Saloon Thread (social thread in the Ranger base) has gone on for a good 3 pages. I'm thinking I'll add a few more posts and then I'll bring it to a close and start a new one soon after.
