Were the Jedi that Blinded? Or Palpatine that Good?

Alright. What I want to know is, how on earth did the Jedi not feel Palpatine's presence through the force? He was the senator of Coruscant for who knows how long, and they didn't even catch on. But. Were the Jedi that blinded? And what I mean by that is, the war they had going on took up so much of their thought on catching Count Dooku and General Grievous that they were oblivious to his presence all along. Or. Was Palpatine just that good at disguising himself.

Or am I missing something huge here and the Jedi knew all along. They just had no proof?

He hid his Force allignment and Force sensitivity from them. Read this, Force stealth.

Yeah, he was probably one of the strongest Sith of all time. He defeated Kit Fisto, Eeth Koth and Saesee Tinn in a few seconds, and I'm pretty sure he let Mace Windu beat him so that Anakin could make the last step.

IIRC, I think the Jedi were semi-aware that someone was manipulating eople behind the curtain, they just didn't realize it was Palpatine himself.

So yeah, he was that good.

Naaaaaaaa... Mace Windu was the greatest lightsaber wielder the jedis had (seeing he created Vaapad) and he was second to Yoda in the High council, making me belive he was a better fighter then Sidious

Sidious was basically mondo-badass as far as the Sith were concerned. So, yeah, he was that good.

If he beat Yoda, I think he could've beaten Windu, too.

They even suspected Palpatine. In one of the Republic comics they were going to have him tested for Force Sensitivity- if he was positive they'd have investigated. Coincidentally, the Jedi in charge of that program died.

Is Plinkett that annoying guy you post who rambles about TMP for hours?

He has reviews of the entire prequel trilogy, the four TNG Star Trek films, Avatar, and Baby's Day Out.

No he wasn't. At that time, it was Cin Drallig, the order's sword master. He was just badass.

There was something else where about a mask created out of the Force. Because obviously the more you grow within the Darkside of the Force the body begins to go into a state where it looks like utter shit. Palp supposedly used something like this and when Mace windu attacked him, palp could no longer keep up the mask therefore revealing his ugly ass self.

Of course I heard this from a friend of mine.

Yeah, I've heard that too, which is entirely too dumb. He was getting hit in the face with lightning. I'm sure that made him ugly too.

I dunno, I was just under the assumption that getting blasted in the face with force lightning isn't exactly therapeutic for your skin.

Probably a good assumption really.

ITT, people who saw the new Plinkett review.

It was disappointing compared to the last two.

Anyhow, Sidious didn't actualy beat Yoda in my mind. Yoda lost his lightsaber and fell down from the depodium thing and then left while Sidious hanged outside the depodium thing screaming something like "Help!"...
wouldn't call it a victory, Yoda was simply out of time. :CStern

Watch Palpatine's over dramatic pleas for mercy and his eyes shifting as Anakin and Mace are arguing. That will settle any argument as to whether Mace beat Palpatine. Based on Palpatine's mannerisms and actions during that scene, it's pretty obvious he let Mace beat him.

Aye, it's like when characters -almost- live or -conviently- die in TCW. If this actually was being made first, in the modern times now, then Yoda would have probably one. Hmm... gah, another rewrite idea pops into my mind!
