Difficult isn't it?

I keep flip flopping between Jedi, Trooper and Bounty hunter.

What are you guys gonna get your teeth into right away? What will your secondary characters be?

First: Sith Warrior who becomes a Marauder.
Second: Bounty Hunter who becomes a Mercenary.
Third: Smuggler who becomes a Gunslinger.

Maybe a Trooper afterwards. I got no interest right now in playing either Jedi classes.

Hopefully I'll be able to play as all three.

We should hang out if you make bounty hunter.

Since it seems like I may actually be able to play this now, I think Im going to go with a Bounty Hunter as well. :P Though I would definitely go powertech. That, or sith warrior into juggernaught, since those seem like the most tanklike classes.

I'm going to be a human Jedi of some sort. That's all I've got so far.

If the reviews are semi-decent:

Smuggler for my main.

Bounty Hunter for my secondary.

1st Bounty Hunter - Mercenary
2nd Jedi Consular - Sage

Although, I will end up making all the characters at some point or another.

I'm not gonna lie, Blizz the companion sways most of my interest to the Bounty Hunter class.

Bowdarr seems to be the only semi-interesting companion for the Smuggler so far. I'd like to see more of him.

First: Miraluka Jedi Consular -> Shadow
Second: Rattataki Bounty Hunter -> Mercenary

I dont even care about companions for the Shadow, all I want is Blizz <3

Should we organize hitting the same server together or is everyone just going to jump on whatever server is convenient?

If not, we could always set up that guild we've been talking about for years.

Think of it like this.

When you play an Assault character or a Medic in a game of Battlefied.

You don't stop.

That same character is yours for every game, but the game doesn't stop, you progress through levels, gain experience points, raid other players, complete quests, customize your character both visually and through their skills.

It's like Mass Effect or Oblivion, but every character in the game is also a player. It feels like a living world, if done right. And that is the appeal, I think.

Ok, but what is the multiple servers thing about?

Ok, but what is the multiple servers thing about?

Again, just like any other game except Servers are more important.

Think of a server as a world. It's the same as EVERY other server, with a few exceptions.

When you make a character in an MMO, you usually pick a race, gender, a class and possibly a faction. Then you choose your server, where you want your character to be.

Some servers might be strictly european, others might be american, japanese or even german.

And some games just have servers for everyone.

The only REAL difference in servers is you can have the following:

RP Servers. PvE Servers and PvP servers.

RP servers is self-explanatory, it's a server where everybody immerses themself in the world and they ARE that character in everything they do and say.

PvE is just you against the enemies in the game and you aren't flagged for PvP so you don't get killed all the time by other players.

PvP is the opposite.

Get it now?

long story short, servers are " the universe" the main way to control population, and basically keep things organized. think of it like " Apartment blocks"

and as consty said, sometimes they are special servers designed for " strictly PVP, or PVE" or for different supported languages or regions.

Oh yeah, races. I'ma gonna be a human male for all three(Or four if Trooper is counterd). Really wish I could be a Trandoshan for a Sith Warrior, I can only hope that is in an add-on or something.
