Essential information
Yi Kartar is a 32 year old Quarren jedi of the Jedi Order, a trained force sensitive that is 6'4 tall and weighs around 230 lbs.
Biography
"The galaxy is a dark place where injusticies happen all the time and monsters lurk to take the innocent away. We must be unwavering, for the galaxy relies on us even as they push us away."
Born on the lower levels of Coruscant, Yi had the same childhood as many other poor, forgotten children in there: A gutter rat, left in an orphanage to rot, forced to do crime since he was little to be able to pay for his stay in the orphanage as the caretakers expected of anyone staying in there, then moving on to bigger, worse stuff: joining a gang, doing bigger crimes, fighting for territory, things that he isn't currently proud of but he felt the need to do because he needed the credits, the recognition and people that he could rely on.
Once he turned 18, however, he found himself robbing the wrong person: A Kyuzo that managed to beat the lights out of him...But also someone that gave him an opportunity to get away from Coruscant, a chance to become a better person: Yi, of course, rejected it at first, but the Kyuzo stuck around Coruscant, visiting him, helping him out as he realized Yi was not too bad of a person despite his situation and background. Eventually, they became friends...And eventually, Yi took his offer.
With that, he began his training as a jedi. First, he became a padawan, but it didn't take long for him to become a proper knight. With the galaxy turning darker and darker, with the Sith, the Empire and other vile people stepping out, Yi believes that it is his time to give back to the Galaxy for the luck he has had, stepping up now that his master had died in the line of duty, protecting people against dark side monsters during the attack on Byblos...His hat being the only thing returned to Yi. He would grieve, but he would not falter.

Skills
A big, imposing jedi, the Quarren knight excels in lightsaber combat, being the kind of jedi that likes being in the frontlines, a shield to protect those that stand behind him. As a result, his usage of the force is also more direct, focusing on offensive or defensive maneuvers that can be useful in combat. Other than that, he got experience handling blasters, and he is a decent pilot.
Outside of combat, he is very good at talking or dealing with criminals, his experience in his previous life coming quite in handy when he moves around the lower levels of a criminal infested planet. He knows how to tell apart the ones that he can work with and the ones that deserve to be handed over to a ranger to put them behind bars. And, of course, he knows how to act as one too.
