"That... sounds like reading minds," Kotru summarized as he broke his gaze. A slow exhale escapes his lips as the Zabrak leaned back, looking forward again with a neutral expresssion while he bounced the Fiani's explanation around his head. There is a brief moment of recognition, lips pursing as he recalled the way he swore he felt Natalie staring him down with. "Reverse is true, right? Y'can pick up when someone's lookin' at you funny?"

T'vani's advice elicits a short hum from the Zabrak, a hand from his folded arms lightly tapping his bicep in thought.
"Right. Supposin' that'd explain before," He mused, turning his turqouise eyes toward the Jedi. "Good as it'd be to learn how ta' use it, gotta know the catch," Her joke was met with a short shake of his head. "You're doin' your job. I'm doin' mine. Problem bein' that I make my livin' pluggin' folks heads wit' bolts. Ain't exactly prime Jedi material, y'feel me?"

___"How about the next time you're on a job, you try to finish it a different way that isn't so violent?" T'vani giggled. "Other than that, no catch. I'm not trying to get anything out of you," she said, her shoulders bobbing in a shrug. Her arms crossed as Kotru affirmed he wasn't good Jedi material, squinting at him. Again, the girl shrugged in indifference.

___"I'm not here to try to tell you to become a Jedi, either," she answered. "You will if you want to. The way I see it, if you have that gift, why not learn how to use it?" T'vani asked, her features softening into a warm smile. "Maybe you'll roll your eyes at me, but the Force is amazing. There's nothing like it," she concluded, her eyes trailing off as she thought about her connection to the Force. For her, there was no feeling more grand than feeling the Force flow through you, hearing its song and call to you.

___"So, what do you think? Think you might be interested in doing that sometime?"

"I just do what I'm paid for. Y'think that Bukk-huffer back there was goin' to cough up the chit if I asked 'im real sweet-like at the lights?" Kotru inquired with a perked brow. He simply did what he was paid to do, and if that involved plugging someone the Zabrak saw no problem in seeing it through. Violence is the one true universal language, after all.

"Well, y'can't exactly find a how-to book on the 'net for it. You 'n your folk tend ta' make sure of that," A lighthearted jab is given in response to the Fiani's tender expression, thumbs hooked around the hems of his pockets. The more he let the idea bounce around though, it started to get more attracting. If he had this kind of gift, he might as well explore it right?

So long as he didn't have to wear those bathrobes around. Seriously, what was with their choice in style?

"Migh' be," Kotru answered. "Question is how I'm s'posed to learn it in the first place. Ain't exactly heard of Jedi offerin' lessons to random folk on the downlow."

___"Maybe he wouldn't have given it over if you asked nicely, but the power of persuasion shouldn't be underestimated, either," T'vani answered. "At the end of the day, it's still your choice, I'm just trying to help you... broaden your horizons," she continued with a mellifluous laugh, her ears perking up as her tail swished behind her.

___"I would teach you," T'vani answered his follow-up question. "Sure, most Jedi might not do it, but... you'd be surprised how many Padawans in the Jedi Order don't always follow the rules," she tittered again, waving a dismissive hand. "Granted, I'm still kind of learning, too, but I can still teach you what I know! Besides, maybe you'll learn that we aren't as bad as you might think," she concluded. To her, it was a flawless plan. Kotru got to open up his options, hopefully changing his opinion of the Jedi in the process and, though the chance seemed slight, maybe he would consider joining the Order.

___"It's your choice, though. I obviously won't force you to do anything you don't want to. Think it over, at least?"

"Y'see one desperate suit, y'seen 'em all," Kotru abolished the thought. "Either those implants, folks he care 'bout or some debts he tried ta' weasel out of by makin' a runner," He added with a roll of his shoulder. Nolee had taken his risk in the job and was ultimately outplayed by the Zabrak. The means didn't matter too much to Kotru, only that he'd be able to afford quite a few hot meals now.

Granted, he needed to hand the chip over first.

A small
'Tch,' of amusement escaped his lips as she spoke. "Last one I met insisted on followin' me into a shootout. Y'don't seem the blaster type."

Kotru nodded his head as he heard T'vani's offer out. It wasn't exactly like chances to explore this kind of gift dropped into one's lap every day. Other Force-wielding groups were either outside of the Zabrak's worldview, or sketchy street vendors trying to sell him a rock that was chipped to have some kind of 'blessing' on it.

Yeah, blessing of making his wallet lighter maybe.

"Kark it. Ain't like I've been doin' much else lately. Fixer coughed up the rush order rates, so I'll be set for a bit." So long as there wasn't some surprise tuition fees or taxes. Kotru nodded his head as he spoke, turning a seafoam gaze towards the Fiani.

"Y'got a comm or somethin'? How'd we do this?"
